Interesting. I started tracking lost gunfights and 90 percent of the time it's too players with lower ping - often much lower. They get all the advantages in those fights.

@@FPSBoomer I try to use closest servers in Seattle but never works great for me. I have 1tb fibre so it can’t be my connection. Perhaps moving my servers to east coast will help me.

I agree about the fixed part. I'm working on a relatively long-term project and I think I can prove it. We can also agree about the server part. Activision is the cheapest SOB when it comes to servers despite making billions. Ridiculous. On a positive note: Outside of buying Vanguard, I haven't given Activision and especially Warzone any money since last summer.

@@FPSBoomer I'm in the same boat, low ping but feel like I'm stuck in mud, I've not purchased anything from activision since last year and will not be getting another penny from me in the future

It’s called lag compo, if you set your gaming console/ps5 to withdraw a max of 20mb download 5mb upload you’ll find out lag compo won’t be as much of an issue. I have 1gb BT using the full wack with netduma ping settings to reduce buffer bloat. It set it to a max of 880mb download and I was getting fucked right up with lag compo

Hey, Aaron. I've never used a VPN so I can't help you there and don't want to lead you astray. But your setup sounds solid to me. You nailed your description of the Netduma perfectly, though. You can set restrictions but the stricter they are the longer it takes to get into a game. And you do need laptop or PC to configure the router. That's how you'll monitor ping at the various servers, define your QoS, set your geo restrictions or ping restrictions, etc. Very intuitive, though, and Netduma has good explainers on their YT channel. Hope that helps!

I think both options would work. I've played Duos when I'm the only one using the router and when both players are using the router -- and have never had any issues. Just remember that the lower you set your Ping limit the longer it will likely take to get into a lobby. That's where the Ping heat map comes in handy. Ping changes nightly. But with the heat map you can see the ping of servers real time and set your limits accordingly. If you both want to meet in the middle, you both could put a GEO fence around a few servers geographically between you both and force play there. But again this might lead to longer wait times to get into a game because Activision's SBMM will still only put you into a game once its algorithm says it's OK. Hope that helps!

@@FPSBoomer my shots land much more often,, hit detection is mostly always spot on, my kdr is so much better than any other cod game I've played and can now run and gun better due to better data sync and no data competition on the network at home,, its just positive in everydway,,, I only just started playing cold war 3 weeks ago but the last week or so I have used dumaos and the difference is outstanding and I was like OMG IT ACTUALLY WORKS,, I would normally get more deaths than kills now its opposite,,, I didn't play since cod ww2 mostly because of lag and now I was determined to work out what I was missing and it was DUMAOS OPTIMIZER - after replacing house cable, got another ps4 pro to compare, different cat cables, lan only, got a monitor 27 inch instead of 46 inch TV, I even done all my best tips and only left ps4 in lan plug and turned of wifi from router so I was the only 1 on the network but it still lagged and just was not good enough,, NOW ITS LIKE 80 - 100% LAG FREE WHEN ON COLD WAR ONLINE.

@@barrystewart8060 That's great to hear. That sums up my experience when using DumaOS, too. It's the only thing you can use that's not cheating and stops Activision from altering your experience for the worse. Good deal.

How easy all of what you're saying is to do when buying the ND ?

@@FPSBoomeryes. Becouse the ps5 is cable connect to netduma. Orbi its just aching as wireless. The ip the devicees will get if they conect via wireless is from netduma ip range Becouse its the dhcp router

What’s up, Matthew! You’ll have to post pictures of that game room when it’s done. I think the Netduma does all that the Orbi would (traffic congestion, bandwidth allocation, etc.) but it tracks popular game servers and real-time ping so that you can choose the best game servers or ping for you. I use it only to get good ping in COD but the router plays nice with several more games - all of which require a decent connection speed to compete well. Let me know if you have any other questions. @@Joshsyndrome Agreed 100. I installed a Cat 8 cable (to be future-proofed) from the router in my living room to a gaming room I built in the garage. So far so good. No interference and download speeds are solid.

Same to you! Much appreciated. As I understand it, whether you're hosting or if you join on a host the Netduma won't allow you to play in a game outside the Geo fence or above the ping limit you set. Hope that helps.

@@BR-qg5jd If everyone joins on you and you have a geo fence set to a good server for you, you'll get good ping but your teammates' ping will depend on how close or far your friends are from that server.

Have you tried hiding your geolocation in the game itself? Warzone/COD allows you to do that. Let me know if that helps and if not I'll dig around.

@@abbthedab1831 When I use the Netduma, I either set a ping limit or put a geofence around an area that has the best servers. Are you using the VPN function? If so, I can't help you there. Never messed with that myself.

I know it. If you play good, the game gives you a bad experience. Horrible way to do business.

Yep. It should help. You could just geofence the 3-4 California servers to ensure you never play out-of-state. Expect your wait time to get into a lobby to increase, though.

@@FPSBoomer I normally always since 2009 never got over 40 ping now i get 70 sometimes its annoying and some times 90 i just want 40 and lower

@@UR_AL_SHOOK_UP_21 That probably means they are putting you on distant servers instead of nearby ones. But everyone (or most everyone) is experiencing high latency issues in Warzone 2. That seems to be a persistent server-side issue.

Hey, Steven. Thanks for reaching out. I'd say if you regularly get placed on the Australian server and get 30-40 ms ping you don't need a gaming router. I have some Australian friends who regularly get placed on distant Asian servers and thus they need a router (because the ping is so high). Until that happens to you, you shouldn't need anything special.
