I have the Sizzle. This is what I know about this product: Preheat is extremely important. The unit will cycle itself up very high and then level itself down. Give this a good 7-10 preheat, as instructed, while prepping for cook. Absolutely, using an infrared thermometer is important as well. In fact, the first Sizzle I purchased....well, I mistakenly thought it was defective. I did not do the preheat properly and ended up burning several things; ruining the griddle plate. Ninja got with me in video and replaced the unit. The second unit came in and I paid close attention to plate temps using the infrared thermometer. That's when I learned how vital a good, long preheat comes into play and how the unit cycles up and then levels out. I put the food on it and nothing since has burn issue. Love this device. I used it all of the time. Oh yeah, one more thing: Allow the plates to thoroughly cool down before washing. The tidbits will come off very easy.

Good stuff, Dot. Good preheats are essential on pretty much all cooking surfaces, to boot. Letting it cool before cleaning will help keep the tray from warping as well.

Another Great informative video as always Joe I have had mine here in the U.K. for about 2 Months so far I have used the flat plate maybe 5-6 times and I have2 or 3 brown marks that won’t come off and food is Sticking to the plate so I have to say I’m not as impressed for the first time with one of my Ninja Products. I filled a complaint form out on the Ninja U.K. site but 2 weeks now and no one has bothered to contact me which is Very Disappointing. A few others on my Sizzle UK Facebook Page have the same problem and someone said to me that they wouldn’t respond as they didn’t to him so it’s leaving a bit of a bad impression to me sadly I guess I will have to phone them next week which is a bit disappointing I think

Hi Joe, I could really use your help in choosing something for cooking beef patties and steaks indoors in a ventless kitchen. I eat a carnivore diet (cooking 1-2 lbs of beef a day) so the most important things for me are ease of cleaning, and reduction of smoke. Splatter doesn't matter too much would definitely be a plus if splatter is reduced as well. Please let me if there were any products that you reviewed that might meet my needs. Appreciate it

I’m torn between this and the foodi xl grill and griddle. I just don’t know which one I should get since I don’t need an air fryer, I have the Speedi. If the foodi doesn’t smoke, I’d prefer that, but this seems like easier cleanup.
