I really wish they kept this design a bit longer then just 2 years, I always wished they would remake this model with just a power boost and updated interior. Idk this to me is the best mustang design yet
Agree but got caught up in the competition. most sports car getting slimmer lower roof. Lights becoming led and smaller.30yrs from now this gonna be classic. Im eyeing one of these since its cheaper now
@@benhaze1010 nice. The stock exhaust did sound really nice but I still swapped mine out haha. And the 13 14 models are definitely one of the best looking.
I put my 2014 gt in winter storage a couple weeks ago . Now I'm watching mustang vids . Good to see 13s and 14s clocking in 200,000 + miles . It's always wise to by the tail end of any generation . Mine is a black base model with only one option . The awesome $2500 track package . It also has roush axel back mufflers, tinted glass , and better rubber . I've had a bunch of cars and trucks in my 65 years. This ones a keeper !!
Thank you Joe for featuring our car on raitis ride! Was so cool meeting you in person and seeing behind the scenes! If you guys are ever by walker ford and wanna see joe if he is there, do it. They are all so humble and nice and actually makes time to talk too you and everything. Definitely a cool experience 👌
I’m keeping my 2014 GT. The S550 cars moved away from the muscle car towards sports car. The retro look of the 2013-2014 were the best IMO. Exhaust varies greatly with how you decide to set up your car. You really gotta get creative to get a good exhaust sound without the rasp and drone. I went with the GT500 quad exhaust and valence, Borla over axle resonator deletes and it’s almost where I want to be. Next up will be larger catted h pipe, possibly from MRT. I’m not doing long tubes as the cost vs benefit for a street car is not worth it for me. For racing, yes do the headers too. Great video Joe as always. Modded cars are always great for a review.
Cali Guy 818 to me the X pipe has a higher pitched raspy sound, especially with the Coyote engine. Lots of folks are using the X pipe. I just like the tone of the h pipe. Guess I’m getting older and the loud for the sake of loud ain’t my thing anymore. Having previously owned fox and SN95 cars, the one thing these newer cars lack it the tailpipe after the muffler which adds resonance and tone which tips off of the muffler can’t do. I can see why Ford moved the mufflers out back.....less interior drone and allows the gas tank to be mid mounted for extra safety. The younger set just going for loud....nah. Good tone for me counts more. But to each his own. Just keep buying muscle cars like the Mustang so they’ll keep producing them. Electric is too damn sterile.
@@stevenfreitas8775 I'm 44 years old! and for me the louder the better.LOL.I drive a 2013 Mustang 5.0 premium with the GT500 quad exhaust and valence as well! But my exhaust is Magnaflow Competition axle-back exhaust with black quad tips, muffler delete and a X-Pipe! Aaaand it's still not loud enough for me!! So i'm thinking of going with the Ford Racing axle back exhaust with the quad tips, and hopefully it will be a little louder..
Cali Guy 818 Ford Racing quads will be louder, essentially a Borla muffler. I had Borla S types on my car before, they were the best sounding I’ve heard on these cars....no drone or rasp. The Ford Racing would be similar. Good choice.
@@stevenfreitas8775 I agree I can't stand rasp. My 04 gt has long tubes, o/r x and spintechs. It has a little rasp, but once I do a chambered mid pipe I think it will be better.
It’s great that you are reviewing subscriber’s rides. I think these types of videos would be even better if you included a small interview with the owner of the car. 👍🏼
This is what I love about any mustang, you don’t have to do too much to them in order to stand out from just a regular mustang. Simply modify the exhaust a bit and trust me you will be turning heads everywhere
You Tube umm maybe because not everyone cares for all that extra shit, as said in the video too this is someone’s daily, adding all that extra stuff the the engine will just put it at a greater risk of something happening, to some 420HP and just modifying the exhaust to some is good enough to them
I have a 2014 gt and it was my first car. Couldn’t ask for something better. And as far as I know from Carmax and whatnot it’s completely stock, but it sounds so damn good
@@Cj-kg6eh You’re going to laugh, but I kid you not… lot’s of compliments. Flowmaster super 44 axel backs. I have a racing tune on the engine, but other than that it’s pretty stock. Nice mix of rasp, rumble, and pops
Wow. The Smile that he had on his face after getting on throttle. THAT is the reason why I love cars. That’s the reason I love muscle cars particularly. And that’s the reason why I love sharing it with other people
We used to call them Slomasters because there were muffs out there that stomped them in horsepower output, even some stock mufflers. Must most people didn't care and got them for the sound.
I have a 2014 V6...... and it's just the best little car..... super reliable and fun to drive.... mine is all black....if you are thinking about getting one trust me you will love it..... but if you want to race GT is what you want....I'm very impressed with the V6😎😎😎... and remember boys and girls never go full mustang 🐎...
Great addition to the channel. It’s cool to see other people’s cars and see their choices in the build. Celebration of cars and trucks is how I see your channel.
I just bought a 2014 a few months ago. Came with flowmaster outlaws. I removed the factory resonator and h pipe and swapped in an off road x pipe and this thing screams!!! Was thinking of adding Long tube headers but I don’t think I could handle it haha. Such an amazing sounding motor
I like the look of my 2014 as well. It's a standard V6 but made a few mods like many do. It's definitely faster & nicer looking than when I bought it brand new with just 6 miles on it. I especially like the rear. I feel it's one of the best rear views ever B) Next thing I actually want to get is a black GT/CS wing. Nice choice this guy had but would look better black ;) Yep! It's LOUD!! Nice!!! B)
That car would sound even better in a manual, the downshifting pops would be epic, I have Flowmastor outlaws on my 12gt/cs, and in the manual it can't be beat.
I just found this video. I have a 2014 GT manual with Roush exhaust. I bought it last year and it’s my favorite car ever. It’s loud and all 6 speeds are so much fun to drive.
I have a 2014 GT that I got new in the summer of 2014. It currently has 17k miles in it. When I first saw the S197 come out in 2005(?) I knew that I would be getting one. I actually waited for the 2015 to show up before deciding to get a 2014. I just like the old school body style of the 2014. My first Mustang was a 1995 Cobra followed by a 1997 Cobra, both in black. I hope I was only 2 hours away from you. I would love to have my car on your channel.
I used to own a 05 Mustang GT, I have a 2017 Mustang GT350 now, but that 3v was the best sounding car I ever had, I had longtube headers and Thumpr Cams installed on it.
That car was taken very good care of, it looks new. 👌 it's nice to see someone care properly for there vehicles and this one is too notch and deserving of a review on Raiti's rides
This was a nice review. I still want a 13-14 GT. This white one is modded tastefully. Love the ride height and wheels. It sounds as mean as it looks. The S197 was my favorite for years, and this white one reminds me why.
I was not prepared for the roar of that exhaust. Holy! I'm looking to buy my first Mustang, and the looks of this 2014 S197 with the exhaust mods might've just made the decision for me.
Damn that's actually my dream car. I love the design on this, especially in white. I currently own an 06 g35 and i have great amounts fun in it that im actually a lil scared i won't like the stang lol. But i simply love that year of the mustang. (Coming from a lvl 3 car guy) lmao
Yep. 13-14 are the best years for Mustang imo. Wish you were closer and I'd have you check out mine! Come out to Sacramento and you can drive my bagged 5.0!
Omg 😭😭 that thing sounds beautiful. I would never get tired driving my car if it sounded just like Thagt! And yes please do more subscribers car review!
Wow that thing sounds like a monster! I bet his neighbors must hate him, but I don’t understand how people get away with exhaust this loud tho. All I did was have a muffler delete and got pulled over for “exhaust being to loud” and here you have someone where I’m pretty sure can be heard in the next city
This was one of my favorite reviews yet for 2 reasons, 1. Because I hope this is a start to you reviewing subscribers cars! And 2. The s197s are by far my favorite mustang design. I mean just look at those beautiful tail lights! Also that thing sounds nasty! For sure wakes up everyone!
I had a 2013 6 speed manual trans. mustang 5.0 with 3.73 gearing in tuxedo black. Kept it washed and waxed got compliments on it every day. I have a 2018 5.0 now and I miss that 2013 5.0
Some of my friends with their 2011-14 tune them, have a K&N open element air filter, a Boss 302 intake with long tube headers and Corsa X-treme mufflers...the exhaust-dunno if it's a H pipe or X pipe...did I mention some have a bolt on supercharger (whipple, Paxton or other forced induction)...true Beasts
i have a 2014 gt convertible and i love how it sounds, the stock sound has a nice rumble but i wanted a bit more! i put the flowmaster outlaw axlebacks and it sounds really nice. i love how the 2004 mustangs sound and the 2011 to 2014 too but in my opinion the 2014s look the best! i like how the cameros and challenger/chargers sound but im a mustang guy lol
I had a red 2014 GT, I had it a short time before I drove a blue 2015 mustang GT off the showroom floor. Beautiful car!!! I now have a 2019 Mustang GT with a ruby red coating and 6 speed manual. I love the sound of your mustang. I would love to do some work to mine and some advice for louder exhaust would be awesome. I’m thinking changing the headers.
Nice car and great sounding exhaust. I love this body style over the new ones. I bought my 14 GT new and it only has about 31,000 miles on it. I also changed the exhaust on mine. I'm running the Ford Performance version of the single tip 2011 or 2012 GT 500 mufflers and over the over the axle pipes out of a 2013 GT 500 with no resonators. To me, it has the perfect sound. I originally had the Roush axle back mufflers on it with the stock OTP with resonators and it sounded great but got too loud after awhile. I also changed out my stock rims with some stock 19" Mustang wheels that are black with the machined aluminum pockets. I also added body color stock Ford rear quarter window louvers and an oil catch can system for the engine.
