6:52 bro, you could have went to Tools menu and then click "dump score log to selected pattern" and it'll bring back anything you played on your midi or keyboard
One thing Cxdy does give me all the time for some reason is hope! Love you for that, it‘s just your vibe for me! Ty for all you taught me and your content in general! 🙏🙏🙏
you are fr one of my fav producers and strictly because of stuff like this. u make making music look seemless, playful, and without rules. makes me wanna do nothing but cook
Cxdy for a future vid could you spill the sauce on making your own drum sounds from scratch like what you make for your kits? Would dope this a sick beat btw
When I started back producing i couldn’t come up with no good beats, but when I saw this video of Metro Boomin saying start with the drums, first my beat starting to come together. I couldn’t start with melodies but the drums work for me. So I don’t think metro have the bad advice tbh.
A reminder to people who are starting out in music still or watch these just to see some interesting shit, an 808 is a kick drum with some sort of distortion to give that BVVVV BVV BVVVV BV BV BVV BVVV, i think some people put some reverb on it but not a lot to give it some more room? Idek if that actually works but i will tell you that layering a bitcrush with a flanger is interesting
For most producers it would be much harder to fit a melody to drums than the opposite imo. I guess that's because we've been making melos first since the beginning. However, by starting with drums you might make something unique and different than your usual style, even if it takes a bit more time. When I do it I usually end up with one of these simple bouncy beats you hear on TikTok lol, not a bad thing. What I found working for me is starting with just the bass/808, like even putting few notes. This helps me not ove-complicate the melody as the bass makes it sound full with just few sounds which is enough most of the time. 😈But yeah, what sparks creativity for me is the melody, soo... just gotta find what works for you🐘
@@peytonmoe5024 he makes boring, repetitive beats that sound outdated after you listen to them once. all of his new stuff sounds like it's from 2018, a lot of his beats were half made by somebody else, he still can't understand there's no difference between how fl12 and fl 20 sounds there's just a limiter on as default on the master channel in fl 20 after THE FL THEMSELVES showed him that there's no difference
🤣 We love you man. Just killed a sample on a marching band from a Marti Gras parade with FL. The band did all the work so it was a easy mix from isolating all the instruments as the band assembly walked passed me averaging a 107 BPM.
