My family used to own a Casio keyboard way back when I was younger and I remember really enjoying playing on it. It's been at least 15 years since I've touched a piano/keyboard and I have been wanting to play again. Casio has always been underrated but listening to these quality sounds prove every one wrong. Casio used to be a keyboard toy way back in the days. But not anymore.

I have a WK-200. I am pleased with its tines emulations ( Fender-Rhodes ) and its reed emulations ( Wurlitzer ). However, I still think that Yamaha has superior acoustic pianos. The two are evenly matched when it comes to FM EPs

Which of these comes with audio interface? Also my friends have experienced the quality of Casio keys degrade within a year. So for intermediates purposely for stage, studio and more for practice which u do u prefer?

thanks dude, kid played piano for 6 years then said she was done, now she wants a keyboard - “YEAH” (play guitar myself) and through other research had it dialed down to these two. 2:30 into your video and I know I want the Casio... plus, it has more watts, always a good thing \m/

In fact the yamaha psr e463 was an old sample from 90s, found on YDP-55. Low end and high end register sounds likely transposed samples.

Despite of the live volume controls of Yamaha, I think I will go with Casio because how impress of the sound it provides, and also I have been using Casio keyboards for a long time. Thank you Jeremy for doing my request. Nice video as always!!

I think that one of the first things that should be understood is that the EW series replaced many of the mid-level priced DGX 200/300 series which were retired about four years ago. Casio very similarly trimmed their product lines in the WK lineup. I think the only WK boards still in production aside from the 7600 are the 7500 and the 6600. Just like the Yamaha EW series they are budget priced keyboards - but with serious arranger capabilities. Typically, one of the most prominent features in such keyboards is the auto accompaniment. It's a band in a box for the musician without a rhythm section. If you can't find a RU-vid video that can compare the two, you may need to take a trip to a music store in your neighborhood

Is the e463 still worth buying for the next 5 years or maybe 10? Do you have any suggestions, for beginners it is better to use e463 or e373? I still can't decide which one to buy. It is true what you said about Yamaha brand having a halo in terms of pianos/keyboards. I find them always inferior in specs in every price range! While Casio, being the underdog always need to impress customers, thus giving out better specs with the lowest price possible. Cheers!

Hi Jeremy! I marathoned watching your reviews. I saw your video while searching between Casio and Yamaha. I like the CT-X3000 based on your review. I previously owned both Casio and Yamaha. My yamaha broke first and my casio lasted for 15 years but was just wondering based on the comments around here: Do the latest release of casio keyboards such as this had problem in their keybeds or will it screech after years? If so, will purchasing yamaha be a good choice for keybeds issue? Thanks!

They are both equally good with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 things that would separate them. I think that keyboards that have that large piano feel as far as the keys themselves are best. But then that goes with the budget of buying a keyboard.

I recently got the Casio CT X8000in , which I believe is the Indian varient of CT X3000. Sadly , i can't seem to get the bend sound of acoustic guitar working on it. Wondering if my keyboard is defective or there's a hidden setting. Touch sensitivity seems to be working fine.

I like your objective comparisons of hardware, but it would be nice to include a few words about the ecosystem: updates, free or paid additional styles or sound, etc. E.g. I have a Kong EK-50: the hardware is quite stunning for the price, but support (both from Korg and style shops) is almost non existent, and the owners community is left with the machine 'as is'. Looks like Yamaha rules in it his domain, which makes up for a few weak points. Hope you do such a video in time.

In casio ctx3000 layer & split, can you adjust the volume balance/voice dominance?in ctx700/800, if not mistaken, you can't change the volume balance..

I can hear what you're saying Jeremy. Surprised ... I like the Casio Grand Piano a tad better. I'm not sure enough I prefer it enough to go with the Casio (plus I have a Kurzweil piano module I love to cover those sounds). I love the CDP-S350, but it's got to be even more difficult to navigate than the CT-X3000, which is cryptic enough, and it's for my 13 yr old boy to use too ... I think the PSR-E463 might be a better fit given user friendliness. I wish there was an affordable semi-weighted PSR-E463.

Is the PSR-E463 still a good option compared to the PSR-E373 or EW-310? I'm waiting for the EW-310 to become available, but if the E463 isn't showing it's age yet, I could be tempted to go for it.

Jeremy I just received the CT x3000 today, I have 2 sets of headphones which I've had for a while but neither of them fit in the phones port on the keyboard. Do I need some sort of adapter or is there headphones made especially to fit? Thanks in advance for any help you can give .

I am a long time guitar player and very basic keyboard player I hope you can advise me on a keyboard that would produce great B3 Hammond organ sounds as well as good electric piano sounds like the Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric piano sound (like what I say by Ray Charles). I wish I could have this Casio one day. Eversince I was in elementary school I just always borrow keyboard or when I was in a mall I I’m just playing on a public piano to pursue my passion. I was fortunate in skills but I wasn’t fortunate to buy one even now that I’m working beacause of responsibilities. But I’m still hoping in the future that I will have my own. 🤍

Should have saw this before buying the i500 😭 , there are a few advantages like your teacher knowing what tone you should be using etc..(In the Yamaha)
