My 15 year old puggle, Sora, just passed away from cancer and watching these videos on RU-vid make me feel happy to see other Puggles act the same way as she did...thank you.
Jett unfortunately that is exactly what mine is like she's named Sophie and she will do that we call her "A BB" because if my dad leaves the house she will weep but it sounds like she so saying beep beep beep
My little Bella will always be staring me down when she wants a good scratch. She is so excited to see me when I get home. She is a female dog but she still humps because she is not fixed so when I get home she gets so excited she humps my leg. I love my little Puggle so much. I couldn't have chosen a better breed of dog as a companion.
My Puggle is almost completely silent except for a LOT of bratty, demanding, spoiled whining and a stray bark here and there. When he's excited he spins in circles uncontrollably until his bowl is on the floor for him to inhale
Mine will just sit... and stare at you until he's feed, but he does tend to run in every direction once you acknowledge him, although the closest he'll get to barking is wining when you "take to long." ...I love it!
That is AWESOME! My Puggle, Shasta, has so many mannerisms that are exactly the same, it is just uncanny!! Thanks for sharing this video! Puggles Rule!!
It's "The look." My puggle does the same thing. He stands off just far enough to be out of reach, but close enough you know he wants something. We then ask the key words... You wanna go for; a walk, some food, a treat, ride in the car(usually always gets a reaction), outside. And he'll hear which one he wants and jump around all crazy.
i got a nine year old male puggle from my father in law. he use to growl and show teeth when he didn't get his way, he tried being the alpha lol and didnt like me one bit. after a month with him i can walk with him with out a leash and doesn't bite me anymore. he was my personal challenge, we are good buddies now.
Ive only had my adult puggle 1 week today the only time ive heard her bark was at the rescue shelter here at home about 3 barks total while looking out the patio door at night seeing reflection or something
He's wicked awesome. I have a puggle too.. Not sure what specific thing you were asking about. But yours is acting just like mine. Mine is 10 now. Still young looking. Activity has slowed only a bit though. He still wants to run around and piss on everything. He doesn't even seem to know when he's totally out of pee. He just keeps going through the motions anyway. I don't make mine stay before he eats, but the "Hey" you said to stop in in his tracks is what I use too. But man, when he was a pup and before he was fixed, he'd take any chance he could to bolt and go exploring.
p.s. yes my labrador and german sheperd mix eats REALLY fast too, even chling sometimes, try putting a tennis ball inside the bowl so he has to move it around to eat the rest, making it a little bit slower ^^
My Oskar didn't bark or howl for almost 6 months and I thought there was something wrong. The vet just smiled and said to enjoy the quiet while I had it. He was right. The bark and howl came eventually when he saw something interesting enough outside that he thought I should know about. He would bark, look at me, then bark again. His bark is loud but I thought him to use his "inside voice" (it's so cute). I love his howl too but it's also sad because he usually uses it at the front window when I'm leaving for work. It's hard to leave since he sounds like he's crying. Such sweet loving dogs.
+Supernaturallytammi I'll try to post more.. and they are a great breed! Very friendly to people and other dogs. Also, they can be as lazy or as active as you want.
my puggle has the worst food aggression, and obsession i and my vet have ever seen. it has become a nightmare. Locks on fridges, and ovens...and drawers.
Mine has the most amazing inside voice, never have trained him or had to get on to him for barking inside.Once outside he barks to his hearts content. He does however chew on me and my womans underwear. idk though lol
No, The Dog Living In My House reacts nothing like this when it's time for him to eat (sit nicely and WAIT)! lol . . . Working on it!! (Updated 26Nov2020 ~ I have to say this video made me work with The Dog Living In My House: He still 'rushes' me at feeding, but I can give him a 'voice' or 'look,' and he 'loses' his mind while he waits for me to say 'go ahead.' lol)
your other og is VERY good, whenever a dog is having a kind of obsessive behaviour or gratuitous behaviour the other dogs usually go and try to calm it down like "snap out of it!" and your other dog jumps him (not aggressively, which is great) every time he barks, so that's great, you have a winning match right there ^^ Must be lovely!
Whenever I catch my puggle doing something wrong I say "Bailey" and she gives you the most cutest innocent face ever" and she walks away with her tail down and slowly and it's so funny. It's like she is saying "oh I got screwed, please don't punish me lol. My other dog witch was fox, chawowa, and German shepherd, would pee on the floor and wag his tail like nuts and its all excited and saying "look what I did... GIZMO! DOG: I PEED ON YOUR FLOOR! then it would go up the slider door and stretch it. Whenever I gave him a mad look, then he saying "get me the hell out of here" 😂
There was a day when my dog gizzy was against the slider door and he lifted his leg and I said "hey" no" then he'd pee all over the slider door. Then get all excited lol.
My puggle Rocky is my 4th dog. I had a sweet westie mix. 2 chow chows (not at the same time) The westie was quiet, sweet, smart, funny, everything you want in a small dog. The chows, I know not everyone loves them. If you like cats, you will likely like chows. High maintenance with brushing, stubborn, hard to train. Both of my girls were very sweet, lovable, good with cats and kids. Now back to the puggle. I am in my 70's and would not have wanted a puggle in my younger years when I was less patient. He's rude, jumps at me and others scratching my legs. When he wants out, he wants out, period. He wants his food, he barks, he brings me all his toys and piles them up in front of me and begs and pleats till I relent and throw him his toys. He sheds like crazy, no brush or furminator will stop that. Ask you visitors not to wear black if you own a beige pug. I tell friends, it's fur-niture so put up with it or don't come back for visits. Why did I do this to myself? Rocky the puggle is sweet, affectionate, funny, cute, loves to go for walks same as me. Rocky is very loyal, won't let me out of his sight. You will never have a funnier dog than a pug/puggle or whatever pug mix you like. Rocky was a 6 mth stray adopted from the shelter. I spoiled him, my fault, not the puggle's. He whines, barks, throws temper tandrums very much like my rotten spoiled grandsons. So what to do? Lov'em. Unless you are willing to put up with the howling, demands, barks, shedding, get a stuffed toy.
Perfect description of a puggle !!! I just lost my guy on mondaynight/Tuesday morn ... Was an unplanned adoption of sorts but turned out to be one of the best relationships I've had ... Period !!! I absolutely loved that lil fucker soooo much ... The most perfect pain in the ass a person could ask for !!! I miss my snorthog so much I'm on Ytube watching videos of other people's puglets just to get a fix !!! I know it sounds silly bc I'm a grown man just a couple years shy of 40 but tbh , watching these videos is the only thing that's made me feel any better !!!!
