I like the Theory that Yuji is heavenly restricted by not having his own inate technique, Kenjaku likely made him to be the best of all worlds, having a maybe unawakened heavenly restricted body like maki but rather than his ce being taken, his cursed technique gets taken, while having the ability to be a walking cursed object that's able to obsorb multiple techniques that technically don't really belong to him, that has potential to become the next evolution of a sorcerer, a sorcerer that is everything the world of Jujutsu has to offer

I think Yuji is Sukuna's clone, but without the upgrades, and that's why Sukuna hates Yuji. Yuji reminds him of the self he loathes.

So I think he had a heavenly restriction EXACTLY like pre awakening maki. And after eating the fingers and consuming the other death paintings he just got a massive pool of CE on top of a heavenly restricted body. Giving him an optimized best of both worlds scenario where he’s a powerful physical fighter who can hit black flashes. Putting that on paper and even giving him a curse technique down the line makes him a force to be reckoned with. And makes a lot of sense as a main character who has to learn the very basics and then outclasses people who’ve been sorcerers to their whole lives with just a few months of experience. He’s like a min maxed character in dnd.

did we forget that heavenly restricted toji's body toke over a soul. maybe yuji's ability to containt sukuna's soul is attributed to that. i think sukuna's four eyes and four arms are due to the ritual he did thats why he has tattoos all over his body, which is symbols of a criminal in ancient japan

I think Sukuna is commenting on how boring Yuji is when it comes to Jujutsu. All he's doing is throwing punches. Sure they're punches that gut and shake the soul, but it's still just punches at the end of the day. Gojo had freaking spatial manipulation, Hakari summons a goddamn pachinko parlor, and Sukuna can chef it up. Meanwhile, Yuji is just a brawler. Sukuna has called Yuji boring all series long. Look all the way back to the juvenile detention center arc and we can see Sukuna denouncing Megumi for running away from a chance to grow stronger

I'd like to point out that Megumi also stated during the exchange event arc that if every student from both schools tried fighting Yuji at the same time with no cursed techniques, Yuji would beat all of them. This statement includes Maki as well. I think this statement goes towards the theory that Yuji is heavenly restricted as well considering Maki's heavenly restriction at the time.

Yuji is really confusing but I think that it’s probably because kenjaku just being so naturally strong, or it can be that kenjaku made him to have strength like a heavenly restricted body, but not have his own innate technique cause he obviously has insane potential given how he is now, so it’s probably a weaker heavenly restriction that doesnt let the person have an innate cursed technique in exchange for a stronger body but not as strong as toji or maki’s awakened restriction

It was even stated several times, like with his first fight with Toji, that Yujin is STRONGER than Maki initially but we also see that during his training with the corpse dolls that his output and amount of cursed energy is actually on the HIGH end. If Yuji has a heavenly restriction, which I think you could make a great argument for, I don't think it's one that limits his cursed energy. Rather, it seems more like it makes him incapable of creating his own innate technique or creating that initial spark of cursed energy. Which actually makes a great deal of thematic sense. Kenjaku MADE him to be a cage for Sukuna. Having a body that can absorb foreign sources of cursed energy and techniques and make them your own in exchange for never having any of your own to start with fits in line with that pretty well.

Maki/Toji - CE for a better body, with CT is affected Mechamaru - body for better CE, CT unaffected Yuji - CT for better body, but CE is unaffected. In the womb, twins are considered the same entity. So technically, Maki/Mai DID have a CT. There are two potential reasons Maki could not use her technique: A) her technique was etched in the brain, but her CE was so low that she could never manifest it. B) her cursed technique was not etched in her brain, and only went to one of the twins. Regardless, Mai's death took the remaining CE. Leaving Maki with a stronger body. Which would suggest that Toji/??? might have been one entity with a twin. Although because a brother was never discussed, Toji may have killed the brother in the womb, causing a miscarriage. Which is why he is the only recorded case of 0 cursed energy being so powerful as its the first case of this happening recorded in the big 3 families. If he had a big 3 levels of CE and it was sacrificed, that explains his strength because it was a stronger sacrifice. Yuji's creation sacrificed his potential of gaining a powerful CT, of Mother's Anti Grav, Father's ???, and/or one of Kenny's. Giving him a Heavenly restricted body with the potential to use a CE and any CT he acquires through consumption.

I always assumed he was supposed to be born with a CT(either his mother's or maybe one of Kenny's) but the HR took it away in exchange for boosted physical abilities but not as much as Toji.

The reason Yuji was able to see cursed spirits in the school was NOT because of near death experience. He himself was not near death, and nor was the other girl before getting attacked. However they were both able to see cursed spirits due to the unsealing of Sukunas finger. By unsealing the finger, cursed energy began to run rampant through out the surrounding area, attracting curses and allowing normal people to see cursed spirits. Megumi confirms this by saying "Wait, you can see them? (Referring to his Shikigami) normally a curse can't be seen, unless you're on the verge of death, OR in special places like this." 😱Sakuna didn't "eat" his twin. Not like he bit, chewed, and swallowed. In the womb, he had no teeth, that makes biting and chewing impossible. He means he absorbed him, PARTIALLY! That explains his form. They were conjoined twins?!?!? One twin is absorbed into the other sometimes resulting in some rough combinations. That's why Sakuna says he "was born a cursed, unwanted, wretched child." His folks saw him come out looking like he "ate" the other twin and immediately didn't want him. I just figured out what's in Yuji's shrine: Cleave and dismantle. CTs are imprinted on the brain from birth. So, a CT that allows Sakuna the ability to eat and store other people's CTs is what he was born with. One of the twins had cleave and dismantle, and the other had shrine. Shrine to store and Cleave and Dismantle to "eat." Sakuna was born with both CTs because he's two people in one deformed body!!!

I like this theory. It would make sense if he was heavenly restricted + having the ability to absorb therefore learn jujutsu from others, that would make the best end game power up for Yuji that we haven’t yet seen in writing.

I've had a long running theory you got close to: Yuji and Sukuna's CT is being a vessel. Twin-Sukuna was 1 kid being good at dicing things, 1 good at eating them, and hungry ol Sukuna ended up with a somewhat merged body when their twin-souls went back to the state of one being cursed energy is said to see them as anyway. The 6 eyes CANNOT innately diagnose CT, just show it in extreme enough detail to see it better, but if Yuji being a vessel with control of what's in him IS his CT then Gojo didn't even realize he was watching Yuji use it the whole time, PLUS Yuji would technically have had access to Sukuna's CT since it's the same one

It's simple, just do the math: Choso is Itadori's brother, and he is half human-half curse; Kenjaku was involved in the backshots required for Itadori to exist. Do the math and Itadori is half-human half-curse, that's why he's so strong.

TLDR: He is half cursed spirit, that is why he is strong.

Heavenly confusion

I have a theory on who will teach Sukuna about love, and how its not Gojo, but his Students. Whereas Sukuna killing weak sorcerers (and throwing them bones if they were fun), Gojo spent his life training powerful sorcerers. Even during his fight with Sukuna he is showing off for his students! Even when you look at masters of their craft in real life often times they are people who teach, or raise up, others in their craft, rather than tearing others down. I think the message Gege might be going for could be something along these lines. I had some more evidence but I'm too tired to dig it up right now. Maybe Im too late with this theory and its already kind of obvious, but oh well.

I also wondered about it, actually, so it's nice to see a video on this topic by someone more knowledgeable about it than me. Although, I do think it'd be a neat thing, I kind of hate that the only HR that is important in the series is the physical one when you can have a really cool CE restriction. But I guess most characters are already overpowered with their CE/CT, so it wouldn't be that impressive...

i don't think yuji has the same heavenly restriction as maki because makis glasses imply that no matter what she has zero cursed energy and cant see curses. but i do think that yuji is heavenly restricted in some way most likely giving up an innate technique for a stronger soul and since the body and soul are in some way equal a strong soul means a strong body making him the perfect vessel and dominate any soul.
