The semi-crouching "boxing" stance doesn't fit this type of character, I thought that would be obvious, at least on the base game they had a neutral standing position which fits a powerful time mage fantasy much better.

They showcased the spell animation wit this clip. The stance, character graphics and movements all remain in the works for now!

no matter the colour that is clearly the ugly new xelor, all the spell casting animations are already there as well as the SFX, and the easiest part which is a stance is not there because its still a work in progress? how does that make sense?@@AmineTiba

I understand this being a placeholder avatar, but I really do pray they'll show love to the characters' stances, cause this pose looks awful imo. The spells look sick tho! Can't wait to see what they got going on for other classes.

With Unity being primarily a graphical engine change, I reckon they'll pay special attention to what you mention and more! 🥃

my favorite thing about wakfu is xelors, every class has idle animations, but xelors are completely inmobile and they just move their arms like an analog clock ticking

I mean, Wakfu was meant to be the sequel to dofus, so it makes sense that upgraded animations would be quite close. Plus, I don't hate the wakfu animations either.

@@SingleMaltDofus I actually do enjoy it. It feels more fresh. If they additionally aquire the proper stances, I would come back to the game. But, I do quite enjoy the animations as long as the complexity of gameplay remains the same. Wakfu is often times just a stat check than a strategy check, and since this update is, for what I think, mostly aesthetic, I'll be pleased if we get new animations. Especially excited about the panda, since pandattack had a lot of possibilities to actively show him throw a fat ass panda at his enemies rather than the boring animation it is now.

Too flashy. Too many particle effects. I actually enjoyed the original Dofus 2.0 animations more.
