This is the only thing that stopped my dog from itching uncontrobbly. I am so thankful for your video. My fur baby was suffering from itching so much. Wiped her down with white vinegar and water and the itching stopped. God Bless You!!!
Hi my Dear, oh!! I am so happy your Baby is better 🐶 this solution helps a lot to keep the Ph balance in them + your Love ❤️ can do anything!! thanks God itch relieved 🙌🏼💓💓💓💓
We do this same thing on our great dane, it works, and gets rid of the "doggy" smell! It also keeps irritants and yeast at bay! Sometimes we start with baking soda water first, for deep odor and oils, so that that the reaction removes the grime. We also add oils like lavender or even other flowers from our garden to fragrance the coat. And my big puppy loves it better than a bath ESPECIALLY during cold winters here in Seattle. That vinegar is amazing, and we use it all around the house with herbs to repel bugs, or to clean surfaces, especially during this year! So far so good! Be safe! By the way your baby is beautiful!!
I’m watching this video again because I have a puppy that wants to sleep in my bed at nights because I guess she has separation anxiety. I also like it when she is extremely clean. Thank you 😊
I tried this today with Pebbles and I loved the outcome. Thank you so much. She will still need to go to the groomer for a trim and sometimes cut. But I love it I will let the groomer continue to brush her teeth. I love this solution.
@@TheAutumnWind_RN4L I'd say it depends on the puppy. My only advice is to only use a few drops of vinegar in A LOT of water, because a dog's ph is more alkaline, around 7, so vinegar can be very irritating to them. A few drops should be OK though.
Great video for anyone owning a white dog. I wished I knew this twenty years ago when I had my white shih tzu dog. I never thought that vinegar would benefit cleaning the dog. Thank you for sharing this video.
Good advice?. Add a couple ofdrops of apple cider vinegar in the drinking water (Norma metal bowl.) Tear stains will NOT debpvelop! Plus it keeps ticks off justnhaving it in drinking water!
I put on old shirt and held my pup because they aren't crazy about me doing it like your dog.. accept my male dog loves me washing him and I let the rag be pretty drenched the rub it with a big dry towel. My puppies play and get messy daily .. so before bed the Cleaning makes them so happy and relaxed. I can see they feel loved by being cleaned.. just their personalities after are so cute 😍...
This video really makes me want a dog! I'm adding the Coton to my list! I've always loved the Maltese and the Shih Tzu so your video will be very helpful to me some day.
I’m waiting for my Coton’s 8 weeks so I can receive her. Because I am natural myself I am looking for natural products for my girl. I had already planned on using apple cider vinegar for her bath along with essential oils. Thank you this video has really helped me.
Hey! hi Welcome to my channel!!! yes this video is helping to everybody, I am doing this for almost 7 years and my Little girl is always clean and white, welcome to follow us @lorentix1 (instagram) xoxo for you and your Bichon Frise (remember brush the coat always too to keep away knots)
Hi well... maybe your Dog have skin problems and that's why you have to bath every week with a special shampoo, in my case I have not problems with it so the grooming sessions with me is once a month or 2 months :)
Better not to bath any dog too often, as it dries out the skin and takes away the natural oils, that protect his skin from bacteria and makes the hair shine. Vdts are not dog groomers!Brushing is more important! Once a month is more then enough for small dogs. Get a good brush like a mason pearson sith natural hair and nylon . I lovd your routine of siping his eye and mouth, anal area, wish more people did this daily!
@@swissmaid I do ! LOL, I brush his hair at least once a day well, now I brush his hair twice a day becauseI was layoff my office is closeddue to cornavirus ! I will get dog boots at Pet Co tomorrow - will see how he likes it. Wish me LUCK !!
Weekly baths are too much for a Coton or frankly any small dog. I have a 6-month-old Coton and a 2 yr old Biewer Yorkie. Wiping down and cleaning the private area often is necessary but a Coton does not need bathing that much.
Just add a bit more vinegar on the pet store wipes. The smell of vinegar goes away in time. Small short hair mini-pin dog, works well and improves bad odor a lot, smells natural, unbelievable. A small face towel works great mixed with vinegar/water, like she does.
I’m a professional groomer and this is fabulous and she is gentle and very loving, however the teeth brushing is a little too rough! Please brush your sweet baby’s teeth with a baby toothbrush! Close the dog’s mouth with your hand with your 4 fingers on the top and the thumb on the bottom holding the mouth completely closed. Gently slide the toothbrush down the side, while parting the lips. A vet specializing in dentistry showed me this technique and the dog will not resist! Your sweetheart is fighting you because it’s too rough for the baby’s mouth♥️
Hi thks for watching the video and your advices 💓 don't worry about Candy, I am doing everything with love I don't want to hurt her ☺️ actually I am using the brand humble toothbrush for her and other kind of toothbrush depending of the areas to work 😉💓 she is a senior doggie and I am so proud of my Job because her denture is clean, white and complete, annually she passes the Vet tooth inspection. Warm regards, xoxo
Wow beautiful dog....I have two Coton de Tulears that are 4+ and we live on a farm.....they are mostly leash walked ...will use this in the future! They go to groomers every two weeks but will help keep feet and eye areas clean! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you for your advice. It’s my first time here because it’s new to me having a long hair dog. I have a Shih Tsu I just rescued her from a person who wasn’t there for her so she has a lot of those stains in her hair.. she’s over a year and they never trained her and had her outside so she had no training for nothing, I’m working with her to go outside and not do her necessities inside it’s a challenge for me but I’m getting there with love and patience
Thank you, this video is a great help in taking care of my part maltese rescue dog. She hates to be bathed and groomed. But I think she will sit for a daily wash as you have shown here. I have never thought to use white vinegar on her, which is silly because that is what I use on my own hair! I love using vinegar on my hair. It keeps it so clean and soft and healthy.
I talked with different veterinarians and specialists, they all agreed that you should never use vinegar on your dog to clean it. Vinegar is acid (pH of around 2.5) and damages the natural pH of the dog's skin (pH between 6.5 and 7.5), it strips the skin very harshly and at the same time doesn't clean it well. Also you really don't want the dog to lick vinegar off of their coat as it's something they shouldn't consume, especially if it's white wine vinegar (never forget grapes are harmful to the dog's kidneys). Lastly the smell of vinegar is very strong and long lasting, very offensive to the dog nose and will cause distress and excessive rolling. Never ever use vinegar to "clean" your dog. Experts advise that you wash your dogs up to once a week with good quality products formulated specifically for them.
Hi Silvia, of course vinegar is very harmful for animals specially skin! oh yeah :) that's why I never use vinegar 100% because I love to my Animal, it is a solution "Water+drops of vinegar" I am doing this clean routine for almost 8 years and I am so proud of my work and the Vet approved, because my Girl doesn't have any problem with the skin and *kidneys if your doggie has any medical condition with the skin or kidneys so sorry :'( you can not make this clean routine, I know some cases... xoxo have a wonderful weekend my Dear!
I'm blessed to have a Maltese with no tear stains. I used to bathe my breezy with vinegar but it looks like I'm going back to old faithful after watching your video. Thanks for sharing
I love your video I admit to not caring prop for my baby. But she had a bad grooming experience so now I know I need to do this daily clean. My girl is so loveable I'm hoping she will get used to me bathing her like your sweetheart
Hi Welcome to my channel, Yes! candy is a quiet Girl and I love it! it is a routine since she was a pup, so now is very easy work on her :) please watch my video about tear stains, xoxo
Mine had tear stains too. I was feeding them Merrick chicken dogs food, then I switched to Turkey and they still had stains, like really bad. The solution for me was to get Merrick grain-free Lamb. Now no more stains. I think they were allergic to poultry. I have 3 Maltese and all 3 are now tear-free at the same time. Was deff the food for my dogs. Give it a try.
I just got 2 new 9 week old shih tzus who’s face has a lot of white on the face. I cook them a puppy food recipe that had tomato and coconut oil in it and there face look stringy and a little discolored from the food. The puppies smush their face in the food. Super cute puppies but they eat like pigs lol. This is very helpful. I didn’t have this problem with my older shih tzu. He has a black mask on his face. Thank you so much. You got a sub and thumbs up from me. Thank you again your a life saver ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. I can see the love. Question: can I use the dog shampoo and still add the vinegar? My first time owning a dog she is two months old.
Hi :) this is a clean routine and bath is different remember if you are doing the clean routine why you have to add more vinegar to the shampoo? but I you need it for fleas and ticks yes you can but I remind you follow the correct steps, disolver in a container water shampoo and drops of vinegar mix and you can use it... optional xoxo
I tried it on my white maltipoo Because we can't shower him alot for the sake of his skin so I had a big problem with his fur when he walk and play in the mud the dirt never come of with only water it stains so he looks dirty all the time I tried your method now and ohhh my god Like I think 85% of his dirt stains came off I will keep this cleaning routine for life now
Acierto Cristina if you’re worried about vinegar, don’t worry. After 1/2 hours the smell go away and your dog will smell “normal” (I mean not bad but not good either) BUT if you add a little drop of dog’s shampoo your dog will smell so good! 😍
Awww,Your Candy is Beautiful! Im going to start doing this with my Maltese. He has tear stains.I loved your video!! It was Awesome!Thank You So Much!! I subscribed to your channel.Candy is so well maintained.
Hi :) oh tenias un maltese? nunca he tenido uno, pero si los he visto muchísimo aca en los parques son hermosos como todosss jiji besos y gracias por ver!
I haven't tried this yet but I'm going to give it a try now I have a brindle pit calling mix she has short hair and long hair and she has a odor problem so I'm going to try this I'll let you all know how this works out
Thanks for The information because this morning my dog got into my slime and it was all over her legs and it’s the same dog that I have so thank you so thank you 🙏
Great idea I have a male Maltese and he plays ball runs in the grass Chases squirrels cats skunks I’ll kinds of stuff comes back after he’s rolled in turkey poop I don’t understand it but he’s runs hardly plays hard he loves to be a real dog and he is two years old and a real handful for me I thought he would be calmer but he’s anything but I think he should be with a five-year-old boy make it run and play together Charlie just plain does not run out of strength until dark
The brown tear stains are mostly caused by dyes in dog foods, especially the dry types. Feed your dogs/cats with healthy HOMEMADE food, for a long, healthy and happy pet.
My solid white Maltipoo loves boiled chicken. But it doesn’t contain all she needs. What other human food? We lived in Texas and she had no tear stains, in Arizona, both eyes are tear stains more than ever
@@lorentix what are you cooking? I did find it more economical to top off in plain boiled chicken, she also likes carrots, apples, and boiled liver. For probiotics she eats noosa yogurt on occasion. She will eat plain tuna fish in oil.. what other items do younfeed?
@@daughterofthemosthighking656 you can Google all the veges, spices that are GOOD for dogs, and what foods are poisonous. Cook with coconut oil and spices. Boil WHITE rice (NOT par boiled variety), sweet potatoes, cabbage/spinach, carrots with your chicken and add a little salt and real ginger chopped up. Make a potfull and refrigerate after it cools and it will last for a week (two meals a day). ENSURE that the rice is fully cooked (NOT al dente), as well as potatoes and carrots.
Thank you! Just what I need to know! She looks very pretty and bright and sweet. Looks like she likes it! Your English is great too! I'm learning Spanish.
