I'm excited to try this but I am wondering do you put it on his coat and leave on for awhile before rinsing? I also liked Anne B. comment on how she split up the ingredients and used 2 of them as a conditioner. My 13 year old German Shepard has ALOT of dry flaking dandruff and I'd rather try a home remedy to help him. I'll keep you posted!

Amen doc!! Thx! I rescue dogs. Most present with doggie dandruff and adrenal exhaustion. I address this with salmon oil, glutathione oil and ashwaganda in their home made food. I also give them probiotics. I routinely put one drop of apple cider vinegar (with mother) per one cup of filtered drinking water. I also use ACV to give final rinse after bath. I also use hemp oil and chia seeds. Chia seeds work well for breeds such as schnauzers whose pancreas can't process oils well. Thanks for teaching us how to help our beloved pets live longer.

I havent looked in all the videos yet but what about wet dandruff where they have a greasy film that builds up even days after washing them? They dont stink but their coat still has greasy flakes.

Thank you Dr Jones. I bought the Castille soap and apple cider vinegar, essential oils. I used mint tree and rosemary herbs instead of green tea. The dandruff was to such an extant that it looked like babies cradle crap and may have also been a weak immune system as he was so stressed from scratching. I found that the apple cider and soap became a bit clumpy together, so I used the apple cider and essential oils as a conditioner. His skin is perfect now and his dandruff has ALL gone. He is only a year old and is not a rescue dog, but the relief was instant. It is allergy driven, and as soon as I see scratching, we go with the simple system once again. I shower him more often than I have done for any other dog in my life. But I am so impressed as to the condition of his coat and calmness. I have also bought lick mats for him in the shower and he now runs into the bathroom instead of in the opposite direction. Life changing. Thank you again🙏🏻 🙏🏻❤️

I got a bad skin flake with my collie and was using Duxo shampoo but it doesn’t seem to work. Even added Hibicleanse to his shampoo. I’m going to try the Selsun blue now. Dogs so used to getting a shower now I say bath and he runs upstairs and gets right in the shower. Most times a only wash the back area where he gets it. His coat is super dense even more than my malamute had. Stay great and healthy. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾🙋🏼‍♀️💪🏻🖖🏻 thanks for the info.

My dog was crazy itchy for a long long time. Then we moved away and no more carpet. But it didn't go away all the way until I discovered that the culprit was likely lamb based food. It's a "hot meat" and many animals are allergic to it.

When our dogs show dandruff it generally points to parasites. Not topically but in their gut. Treat orally w diatomaceous earth and viola, dandruff is gone. Realizing there are other causes for dandruff, this is another wonderful video! WOOF!

Does anyone know of a awesome insurance plan that covers just about anything from a dog fight to a broken bone during training? In DC? I don't drive but my 6 month old working pitbull girl and I may do some extreme stuff and I was wondering how to best cover her medically on a budget if she got an injury during us working/ exercising. I also don't drive but found out uber pet is available in my area and my sis has agreed to be backup transportation in case of an emergency.

I have a bk called : Dead Pets Don't Lie. by Joe Horn..(Defender Pub.).It is about the processing of dry pet foods....Not Good...I would love to know what you think about it...hope that you can find it and read it. You didn't tell us how to use your last shampoo w. vinegar, castiel soap...rub in, leave on..how long? rinse off. You should use a short haired black dog like a doberman w. a thin coat...like I have...you'll get lots of big noticeable fakes of skin! very visible and magnetically sits there on top of the fur...ugh! like your suggestions and really appreciate it!

@@mommadeenaa i haven’t tried it yet, I used regular shampoo on them. I want to try tea tree on them, my sister has suffered from dandruff for years, and I applied tea tree oil on her scalp and since the first time she has had a dramatic change, I’ve only tried it twice on her but the dandruff is incredibly gone, I want to try it on the pups but first I have to find out if it’s safe on them, which I would think it is.

@@mommadeenaa hey I hope you read this message, I discovered that high concentrations of tea tree oil is not safe at all on dogs, although it did help with my sisters dandruff, i guess it’s very different on animals, I hope I’m not too late. I didn’t try it on my pups, but I only bathe them once a month so they can produce the oil their skin needs

The acne can be from eating from a plastic dish, or secondary to an allergy. The warts can be from a virus, or bumps secondary to aging and a declining immune system. Consider some of the immune supportive supplements ( ie EFA's, colostrum, probiotics)

Hi Dr Jones oh Gosh yes mine has it. I think it’s the supposedly to be organic dog shampoo that’s causing this so what I’ve done is just rubbing coconut oil on him it works but think I’ll do what you mentioned in this vid ie oral. Thank you for sharing great 👍🏻 thank you

I just created a super holistic vitamin that can be used topically and orally one teaspoon of hemp seed oil one teaspoon of black seed oil and one teaspoon of liquid coconut oil, I have two small dogs I give them both a quarter teaspoon orally and I also rub it through their fur and skin it hasn't only helped with eczema in my Yorkie but it has helped my chihuahua with his asthma give it a try, I use T gel shampoo

I helped my father in law change his diet to include heavy omega 3. Below is a life changing recipe. This recipe brilliantly converts fat soluble omega 3 fatty acid to a more absorbable water soluble form. I eat it daily for breakfast. It has transformed my health, my hair and skin. I add other healthy ingredients to make it extremely nutrient dense. Recipe for FOCC 2 Tbl organic cottage cheese 1 Tbl org flax oil Blend thoroughly with an immersion blender until absolutely no signs of the oil remain. Should look like creamy butter. Add 2 Tbl of FRESHLY ground flax seeds. Blend all together. Must eat within 20 minutes or mixture breaks down and is void. My dog suffers from chronic skin yeast infections. I have learned from watching many of your videos that the most likely cause is environmental allegory. I take her to the vet constantly, we have changed her food many time the current food she is on seems to cause no issue. Something outside of the house or in the house seems to be the problem. The vet prescribes a steroid and antibiotic every time, as soon as she gets off the meds it comes back. I am desperate to help her, she itches, stinks, and is loosing hair.

My girlfriends dog had dandruff problems when I met her but I talked her into putting her on a grain free food and the dandruff went away and her coat shined up

@@cindybostonpitt I read it the reports it's only a few hundred dogs out of how many hundreds of thousands dogs that eat grain free but it's says peas are the problem

Be aware to look closely to make sure it's not mites. If you see dandruff and bald spots your pet most likely has mites. Either try home treatment or put plastic over your car seat and drive to the vet for treatment. Dandruff isn't always just caused by diet.....sadly
