My first dog was a Cocker Spaniel when I was around 3 years old, and he was great, just like Alba.

If you know anything about service dogs especially for epilepsy, if you get a service dog for seizures they cannot teach a dog to predict seizures coming on but there are dogs that can do it, they’re just born that way and they say there’s no rhyme or reason but there are certain breeds that tend to have that instinct. My daughter had her first seizure when she was 14, our lab/German Shepherd/border collie, when we adopted him both his parents were at the shelter too so we knew exactly what he was but he was four months old when my daughter had her first seizure. I was laying on the couch, my daughter was standing there and started to spin and our dog was acting funny he had jumped up on the couch to get over the back of the couch because that’s where she was and at the time I had no idea what he was doing it was very odd behavior he was very well trained. When my daughter started spinning at first I said what are you doing you’re gonna hit your head and she then proceeded to fall into a seizure and our dog immediately went by her side, again he was only four months old, of course this was the first seizure I had seen so I was in shock and the fear is immediately at 100 not knowing what to do but we ended up being blessed with a dog born to detect seizures and didn’t even try for it, it was just a crazy coincidence and since she is now married and on her own we are trying to find a duplicate of him because since then we have found out that she has a rare form of epilepsy and she is having seizures 24 hours a day but that’s another story altogether. Dogs are incredible when they are in tune with a child on a different level that we don’t even understand.
