I have a female American pitt who only becomes a dog when she spots a cat. She will answer u with her tail. She cant lie. Yes is a wagging tail and ask her a no question and the tail stops on a dime. So damn funny. She also fakes going to pee! This dog is a big baby. I weigh 118 and she curls up in my lap like a baby would lay. Some dogs are just amazing
Your dog wants to go out girl... He should not be told that he is rude. Dogs are very aware of negative words. How about good boy. Then say lets go for a walk and good boy !!! I bet your dog will be a lot happier. And he's also saying get that damn camera phone out of my face and pay attention to me !!!
Curious about these dogs. How is his/her barking? We’re interested in this breed but our Rhodesian Ridgeback has spoiled us... he only barks to alert us and that is rare. I’d like to hear from an owner how their Catahoula does in this area. Thanks.
@@tideivlife1 I have a catahoula leopard and a catahoula and they are awesome dogs as long as you train them early and have something for them to do, unfortunately I don’t work them. Our male barks non stop all day every day while our female doesn’t. They are great escape artist lol. They broke out of 3 kennels and even broke 4 cables that attaches to a stake in the ground. They always find a way to get out the yard which is a pain in the ass Bc we get calls a lot and even animal patrol even came once Bc of excessive barking. I’d say if you have A LOT OF TIME AND PATIENCE then it might be worth getting one. If not it might not be worth it Bc it can be a pain.
Absolutely love his eyes and stare, his expression of getting his opinion across is in his voice. The look away turn of the head say 'I mean what I say ma'am discussion over" LOVE IT. 😄😄😄🤓

@@debbied7803 I am going to say that he's a lot like my dog and he does it for several reasons non of which mean anything other than it's "their time & their little game" trust me when "my boy" wants something he makes sure to get my attention in a completely different way. I could be wrong but with my boy, it's been a game for as long as I can remember. He loves my attention and we have several little games we play very similar to rhus. I'd bet they started this before the camera was rolling. I'm only saying this because I'd be very offended if someone thought that about me. My dog is rotten & I wouldn't want it any other way. My dog talks to me and can make tears come to his eyes if I start talking I'm a certain way, "acting" like he's mistreated and isn't loved like he should be. He's so dramatic & he'll do almost anything to have and keep my undivided attention. I could be wrong but her dog doesn't look neglected so I'm giving her any benefit of the doubt. I'm not trying to be disrespectful I wanted to maybe change your opinion to something more positive. ❤️

They don't understand that mentality of humans bc they're the ones that are smart, not us. I'd trust a 4 legged animal before I'd trust a 2 legged animal any day! 🤗
Trust me... She knows exactly what he wants... This is obviously a game they play often. Ive got a dog that does this with me... So smart and ALL ABOUT HIS "UNDIVIDED ATTENTION TIME." 💕
You and that dog are a good match. You take his snarky snoot in good natured stride and he gets to feel like he's being taken seriously. I bet he watches television. Obviously smart doggy.
This is obviously something they've done for a very long time. Ive got a dog that is very OUTSPOKEN & NEEDS HIS ATTENTION & ME TIME. A TRUST THAT I WISH ALL PEOPLE COULD EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR FUR BABIES 💕
@@Rolothe1st, they DO NOT like other dogs. They're one man, one family dogs and they're very protective. You also have to be firm and make sure they know you're the alpha.
Can these dogs be trained to be good with strangers if I go for runs and am out with the dog often? I put a deposit on one but the thought of it becoming aggressive after two or three years once it matures bothers me. I don’t really want to be in a situation where someone is taking to me and it thinks it needs to protect me (meaning bite or be overly aggressive and not friendly) I wouldn’t like to feel constant tension with it in public I also don’t have people over often but I don’t want to be thinking that my dog may overreact to a visitor if it isn’t used to them at home . I had seen on forums people say their dogs even socialized and trained started getting aggressive with family members and went after people and couldn’t be taken out at all either . Seems like it can be beyond training sometimes and just very instinctive. I wouldn’t want to let a family member walk with the dog somewhere and end up getting into a serious issue . I just wonder if these dogs can truly at ease with random people wanting to pet it once it’s matured . Iv seen stories that bother me.
@@heythere6983, the second one I had was the best, so far. You could introduce him to people and if you were at ease so was he. He didn't like men, but as long as they were friendly there wasn't a problem. I would take him hiking and on one occasion we came to a property on a country road and their dog came out in the road and it was on. He whipped that dog all over the yard in front of the owners and once he started back to me it decided he wanted round two. That time he whipped it all the way back into their screened in porch, they knocked over furniture, broke lamps and pictures, there wasn't a third round. If you want a dog that's at ease with other people and dogs don't bother gettin' a Catahoula.
Omg, just could not stop laughing. This little guy makes me want to clone him. What a sweet-pea! Love his eyes and i could listen to him all the time. He should be in commercials or t.v. luv the way his mouth quivers like Elvis. Keep up the good word little pooch! You are a darling!..I have 3 chihuahuas and they all howl like wolves together in unisen...too funny.
