I joined the membership and am a premium member. I can say, I had the most stubborn 7 month old dog I've ever met. I mean to the point of contemplating having to rehome her. I can't tell you the transformation of my dog. I love that the classes cover everything- from feeding raw to treats and tools that you might not even know you needed. The classes start from bringing home puppy- to advanced offleash classes. You can watch them at your own pace, rewatch the things you need to be reminded of, and skip the classes that don't pertain to your certain situations. There is a private group where we can ask questions, share concerns and learn from so many other members. I can highly recommend this class seeing such results in my own dog. Thank you Diyk9!
Learned a lot from Garrett's vids. I got an untrained, 3 year old, stubborn, car-chasing rescue individual. Finally, took him to Optimum Dog in Mt Vernon, WA. They saved LU. I chose them after seeing Garrett's vids. I also enjoy Garrett's police dog stories and the why and how of how police dogs act. Lu was panicking, jumping up and grabbing the leash--it was impossible to walk down the street. Optimum gave me the correct prong collar and told me how to use it. They, also, do not let Lu get away with little things and guess what--Lu loves them.
I am so blessed to have our dog trained pretty well. 13 yr old 10lb chihuahua in perfect health. Off leash walks in the right places and time of day, good recall, and im getting him used to not reacting wild animals unless I tell him to. 2nd best dog I've had, honestly. Oh and if you try to touch my wife, daughter, or mother in law he will bite you if he doesn't know or doesn't like you. Lol
I also have something that's 10 pounds She's a cat and she doesn't play with me around she'd peice up your dog and if there's backup my corso can handle it
I recently rescued a German Shepherd Roddy mix from a kill shelter. He is an awesome dog gets along great with my three other pups. He is eight years old. Just got neutered from the shelter. He is a good listener, but he’s very stubborn. Will a program like this work on an old stubborn Dog Thank you
Where was this when I put my pupper in a 4 week board and train? J/k, he was a reactive abused pupper. I think the most important thing I ever learned about dog training was this simple phrase. "Would you follow you?" That and a Herman sprenger collar and e educator (which they'd have offered the two remote system since we got two collars.)
3 doberman 2 are real service dogs with a disabled wife and I have no worries. They been on a leash 10 times in there life and e collar maybe 20 times. Dobermans crew
We have a 1 year old male who has been posturing and challenging our older 7 year old male. Our 7 year old has done so much better avoiding fights... that is until he is pushed over. Our 1 year old's pushy behavior has been a problem recently and I believe that when our 7 year old is trying to desculate a fight and avoid one, the 1 year old has been gaining confidence. Now there has been fights in the past and I need advice. How would you handle this situation between our male dogs? Please make a video as I am a visual learner. I'm asking more particularly for our 1 year old... to correct his pushy behavior and to prevent dog fights in the future. If you read this I really appreciate it and appreciate to hear from you.
Hy hello I am watching your content since 1 month and I enjoy it a lot And I have small request Can make anything on Indian dogs Kindly waiting for your next content Your viewer🇮🇳
I have a 6 month old Great Bull Dane. Walking with the prong is like night and day the difference it makes. And she loves it. BUT. I’m always worried about the fit. I don’t have it loose by any means. But snug like a watch freaks me out. Big ole softy I guess. 🤷🏼♂️😆
Do you know of a VA program that can help train a dog to help in service work. Emotional appetite support or any specific training. Your videos are awesome. It's me honestly needing more time to train my dogs.
I personally don’t have a membership, but as someone who’s benefitted from his videos, if I had a dog that was extremely difficult. I think this would be a great entry priced way to train your dog better. This guy has great tips.
My dog was attacked and though she recovered from it and was doing great for awhile a big dog ran up to us and she now doesn't want to go for walks. It was a hyper German Shepard and it tried to jump on her but I manged to keep it away. I think it brought back the trauma from the initial attack. I've been taking her out everyday and am trying to make her feel safe by being a confident strong leader. She'll walk a bit and is very behaved when she does walk, but I know she's scared. How do I help her not feel scared and walk without me having to encourage her?
Do you guys cover when a dog lays down at the sight of another dog? Mine does this and will drag her body and then lunge at a passing dog. Idk what this is. 😅
I would join but I don’t have the money but I do have a question. So my dog is a springadoor and she is now 9 or 10 years old she was neglected by my parents and they then gave her to me but she is not trained good and I my local dog trainer said she is to old to be trained
Then U find a different trainer to help and or watch lots of videos and do it yourself. It's really not that difficult. Any dog trainer that says different has no idea what there talking about. No dog is to old to train. They may just end up being stubborn. Then U just make training a fun time for them. Every time they do what U want. Play with them. Rug of war, throw a ball play fight with it. Literally anything. Just don't give up or having a dog will not be a good experience for you. U dint even need to spend very long doing it say roughly 5-15 mins training sessions a day when there 1st getting into it
I want to become member, but im not a social media guy. Meaning i dont have face, insta, snap or anything. Only yt. Can i still benefit from becoming member? 😊 Your videos has done alot for me. And i only want to become better and better
A good place to start with very young puppies is potty and crate training, also training them their name, isn't as important as the first to but is helpful to build a bond between you two, until the puppy is about 5 months I'd just focus on crate training, potty training, and building a bond with them through playing with them, feeding them, grooming them, cuddling them etc. once they're about 5 months you can start with VERY gentle leash pressure with lots of food luring.
Other cats do. Throwing things off the table, scratching, biting you, pissing on the bed. They're worse than dogs because most of them are too dumb or stubborn to be trained
@thewolf9851 I just want to make sure that every dog owner in an event when their dog got out, could guarantee that their dog wouldn't maul any person/child or other dog. Then I could say a dog is normally a safer pet than a cat. I used to love dogs, I have two myself, but irresponsible dog owners have made dogs something to be afraid of rather than to be admired or have fun with
