Dogfight Of The Day #17 Bf 109 E-7 vs. 2 Bf 109 E-3s in War Thunder 

I had already spotted both 109s earlier in the game attacking our bombers and being generally distracted (which was cut from the video), so I took the opportunity and jumped them. My initial dive helped in masking my energy state from them, and at 0:19 you can see from their reaction that it works. Their mistake is that they're not splitting up horizontally but vertically which enables me to dictate the fight from here on. This also puts them both in my vicinity for the duration of the engagement. If they were splitting up and flying into opposite directions instead my energy advantage quickly would've been equalised. This would've made the fight much harder. At 0:31 I slighty roll left and then right back into the first E-3 to throw off his aim and to also make him pull hard into me. As I merge with the second E-3 at 0:42 I initiate the energy trap while checking on the first E-3 which had already blown almost all of his energy in his last turn. While I maintain the spiral climb as long as possible the second E-3 tries to match my maneuver but eventually stalls out right in front of my guns. The first E-3 should've dove out from this moment on, instead he does more horizontal turns below which absolutely accomplishes nothing, so it's easy for me to exploit his energy state and shoot him down as well. Quick shoutout to the Yak-1 pilot 'DidacBlue' who tried to assist but was a little disappointed that I killed both on my own. I later helped him to a kill or two and everybody went happily back to the hangar.
