I bought a Boston right after I lost my dad to cancer he entertained me, helped me through a divorce. the day he died he was fourteen. All I thought was thank you for being in my life Chewiedog
I miss my Haley so much. She was such a good friend. We did everything together. It's been three years since she's been gone. She can't come back to me but if god be willing I will come to her.
Bill Dargel ...sorry for your loss. My Jamie was killed by a coy/ wolf in Oct 2017. She was my BEST friend. I do have her daughter Wee Wee. Check out our videos.
Bill Dargel I’m so sorry. I lost my Beau after 15 years together it took awhile but I finally got another one his name is Winston he really makes me smile just like Beau.
@@creepercraftreacts129 If they've got something to say they do. Depends on the dog--each one is so different. I have two boys that are super different from each other. Ringing doorbells/knocks at the door always gets them going. They're honestly the best dogs. They can be really stinky (farts)--bananas help; boiled chicken (plain) and rice with veggies (peas, carrots, broccoli-stuff like that) and canned pumpkin definitely help the stink, but it's a lot of prep. They're totally worth it:) good luck to you.
My son adopted a brother and sister duo from a foster home. They are very lovable and loyal. Kind of temperamental when left alone as they destroyed his couch when he was at work. Kiddie guards cured that. It's so funny because the boy dog could easily jump or destroy the kiddie guard but doesn't. They also like to chew a lot.
I have had Bostons for more than 4o years. I raised Bostons for many years, but my dogs were what they call "free-whelpers". Meaning they were able to whelp without have C-Sections. I live in Kansas, but they are hard to find there. Had to travel South of Oklahoma City to buy one.
Have had dogs all my life and the two Bostons we have are by far the smartest dogs we have ever had or have seen. However they can be temperamental if not given attention sometimes, our male has "Im mad so I pee a little on moms shoes" syndrome. Its been trained out of him now but he was a stinker for quite some time when he got mad. We love our Bostons!
The American Gentleman (my Clementine) will be 4 in January. She has been with me since she was 2 1/2. My wife and I are both 65 yo. and have had dogs all our life. Except the last 15 years. Clementine has been a blessing for my health with PTSD.
Mine meanwhile never let any other animal but a sister two Shari whit love equally 65lbs every night .my girls if you do not have 5000 c=credit do not some are playing their bulls ...
I have a hulking 40lb brindle boston that is perfectly marked. Doubt ill ever get another like him.All muscle. Hes an eating and pooping machine who goes on several walks a day. Vet said he looks great just last month. His names Jack and he turned 10 on Oct3rd. Hope i have him another 10. He livens the house up! P.S. he was rescued and not bought by the breeder. I used to babysit his mom and dad and helped with the birth. He was the first of 5.
They forgot one major point. Well at least for ours that is. This guy Buster has got a standing 30" vertical jump. Freakin part Kangaroo I think. We got him as a rescue about 3 months ago. He won't leave my daughters side, even crawls UNDER the covers to be with her.
Hey, Brooklyns Corner. You forgot to mention that the Boston Terrier can give the best 'Stink-Eye' EVER. And can do so as soon as they open their eyes! lol!
Outlander, I had my heart set on a Pit Bull but my wife really wants more of a lap dog size. I researched Frenchies and wow do they need high maintenance. So my final choice will be a Boston. I hope I'll make the right choice.
Jim Schrom I’ve had both! pitties are high energy and need a lot of attention. Boston’s are full of personalitie but are so smart and ours helps keep our pit calm just get both
I'm on my second 1 jim, they are a great dogs.be careful if buying, like alot of breeds there are some subpar breeders out there.i found my 2 on petfinder but they were about 4 5 yrs old,as far as rescues watch out for ones with medical issues from bad breeders. Also I see these brown or red ones now,but they are not officially recognized by the akc, I'm not sure why people have started a 4th color for these dogs but wonder why when so many dogs get killed at shelters,in the end I think it's about money, instead of making the breed as good as it can be.the dogs in this video seemed to be pretty good stock, notice how there tounge isnt sticking out over breathing so to speak.good luck there are some good vids and books to help you.ive had about six different breeds so far but once you have a Boston u have to have at least one in the house.nice size, not too girly, low maintience, pretty quiet, fun loving etc
"They eyes are large and round, which give the dog a kind and intelligent expression." Don't get me wrong, I love these dogs, but I've never ever looked at a Boston Terrier and thought, "Yeah, that dog looks pretty smart."
my Boston is in so much pain now and the medication the vet gave him is not working. it looks like my mom will have to put him to sleep I will miss him so much he is my best friend. I will feel lost without him.
My dog Moomoo had to be put to sleep on Christmas (3 days ago) he was my bundle of joy I miss him so much his back legs stopped working because of deformation it could happen to any dog tho I will hope when I pass god will let me see him
I have a Rottweiler X Kelpie year old, but recently due to him seeming rather lonely when the neighbour's dog he played his passed away from old age, my family has been considering getting a second dog to keep him company, but would prefer a smaller dog than him to make feeding them both cheaper. My sister has her heart set on getting a Boston Terrier, do you think its a good idea to get one?
We have a Boston Chin, a cross between a Boston terrier and a Japanese Chin (spaniel). It's a great dog, good with all other animals (other dogs, cats, even chickens). Adapts easily to the amount of exercise required. The Boston Chin is around the same size as the Boston terrier, but the body is a lot more athletic. Very quick, loves fetching, very affectionate.
Panic! At The Ski Village I can say I have had 2 Boston's and they are awesome. Easy to train, very intellengent, and they want nothing more than to please you. 100% get this breed, if you have any questions ask away!
The rate of Boston Terriers having caesareans is NOT 85-90%. It is around 30% according to my vet who also breeds BT. If that were the case ,150 years ago when they were being bred most liters would have died since it was very uncommon to perform caesareans on dogs.
Why do you not mention the common trait of having seizures. This is in fact what usually kills them, during a grand mall seizure. If they are loping with their legs during a seizure roll them up onto their belly as they are trying to get up, but can't. This will help relieve some stress on their part.
i also have Boston Terrier but hea haves somehow learning issues but a good dog when we got him and threw a ball far away he was speed like a torpedo Pls explain why are they damn fast XD
My Boston terrier ate a rat today and we don't know if it was poisoned but I am praying that it didn't and she stays safe and healthy she was like a sister or daughter to me and I can't lose her yet, she is only 2 and I can't even think about losing her please pray for my dog Butters she was my whole life and I love her god please send your love/Magic to my cute little Boston Terrier I love her so much god bless you all!😭💋
Friendly and sensitive? Yup. Clever? Ooooooooh, you ain’t met ours. Loving as hell, but doesn’t know where her chill is most of the time. Can also be a tad dense, sometimes.
someone legit threw a boston out in the country...and of course i called my aunt who is a breeder of them for therapy dogs in children, she looked and said he was a purebred boston, and let me tell you hes the BEST rescuse dog and amazing with my disabled son!!! bostons are so ugly they are cute and amazing family protectors!!!
Abrill Ellis So glad to hear that the dog gets along with your son. We have a 2 yr old Boston and he is just the best. All the neighbourhood kids love playing with him.
I also rescued my Boston Terrier Miss Sugar 5 years ago from a drug addict needing money for a fix and I love my Miss America ( Cause she gots a face only a Mudder could LOVE!).😍
