Thank You, man of God, for all your lessons. I'm trying to have this solid relationship with God, and people like you help make all the difference. I hope God blesses you and your family for your faithfulness. 🙏
Matthew 10:12 12 As you enter a house, wish it peace. 13 If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you. 14 Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words-go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet.
This video is right on time. I sent it immediately to a new friend of mine who needed advice on a recent development involving his wife of 27 years who fits the bill regarding Matthew 7:6 exactly.
I loosen the word of matthew 7:6, 2 corinthians 6:14-18, matthew 6:24, 1 john 3:10 over my life in agreement with this whole message, binding to hell my heart and life but also the heart and lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents and the body of Christ being given to pigs and dogs, binding myself freed of dogs getting what is holy or pigs to see the beauty of Christ, while binding myself not being unequally yoked and have any common share with those who treat holiness as meaning nothing, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
Whoever does not receive you and does not listen to your words, when you go out of this house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet..... Μatthwe 10,14 its the same
Thank you so much! I was struggling with telling a friend about Jesus who would just refuse to answer/listen to me and my questions. I kept on pleading with god to change his heart because after all, that was what he was supposed to do right? I was supposed to open the door and he was supposed to go through it. That’s what I believed. So I searched the Bible for answers and came upon this verse I had forgotten. I didn’t know the entire meaning so decided to look at it deeper and found this video. God led me to it to show me that if my friend is not willing to listen even though they are hurting, then it’s not worth my time and my pain and that is time to move on. God showed me that it’s not going to help to continue preaching to others (my friend in this case) in hope when truly, they refuse to listen. Thank you for this video!!!!!
Hey Promise Hansen. Yes, Jesus often moved on from those unwilling to listen. Even so, I just prayed for your friend. Hopefully one day he will see his need for Jesus. I hope you have a fantastic day!
Good message. Will encourage many who have been struggling with family/friends with hearts of stone. Glad you backed up with comment not to give up on them entirely. If you continue to pray/share with love & patience, those family & friends will remember your love/concern & may call you back later (keep on sharing with others, don't get bogged down). I think of hardened atheists who just want to trample, Christ/Gospel...now there are some folks I may not allow to do mock my King or good news.
My pastor explains this verse this way..that we shldnt try to teach world to be holy.. adopt ways of God...to live like us believers because holy things are foolish to the world (Gentiles-dogs?) & are only spiritually discerned. The only way to change the world state/peoples heart is thru the gospel-good news message, which needs to be preached. Faith comes by hearing The word, HS convicts, JC saves, not the holy behaviour/good works. Im guilty of trying to conform non believers to adopt holy ways. This verse follows the dont judge verse or you will be judged-take out plank in yr own eye...is verse 6 a continuation of this one? Not sure. It all comes down to the gospel of Christ, which needs to be preached, spoken, shared with all ...for them to be saved. The church body has work to do! Lets start loving the lost world! 💖
I am also convicted by this. I need to understand that they see things differently. I need to improve myself, and see that my mistakes will not help spread the Gospel. Thank you for helping me realize something. God bless you. In Jesus’ Holy name.
Thanks for making this video. I needed a clear explanation and you provided it. I was having a chat with a gay man about a gay event that took place at my workplace (a hotel) He was showing me videos of the event and I remained silent, because I knew that the chat will go sideways if I preached to him. I felt guilty afterwards, but now I’m starting to realize that if I presented the pearls of Christ to him, he would have trample them. God bless.
What about for old people. My mother in law follows false teachers on TV. She is old. My daughter is constantly trying to get her to understand the true gospel as she fears that her grandmother will pass into eternity not knowing the true gospel and be like one of those Jesus says "I never knew you" in the same chapter. There doesn't seem to be as much time to go away and come back later with old people. I talked to my mom over and over and one day my mom got it. She praised God and was baptized by submerging at 70 years old. Since then she is like a new person. That was 4 years ago. My daughter wants to see the same thing with her other grandmother who is 84.
Yeah dogs definitely don't get a good rep in the Bible. I remember as a kid, my granny would always tell me a dog is God's favorite animal because dog is God spelled backwards lol.
Great insight on the Biblical context of dogs and pigs mentioned in the Bible. I have been pondering on this before too and to add, I see that the term "dogs" in the Bible is also applicable to greedy leaders, preachers and pastors who are looking after their own gain instead of taking care of the flock or the body of Christ. His watchmen are blind, They are all ignorant; They are all dumb dogs, They cannot bark; Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yes, they are greedy dogs Which never have enough. And THEY ARE SHEPHERDS WHO CANNOT UNDERSTAND; They all look to their own way, Every one for his own gain, From his own territory. Isaiah 56:10-11 NKJV
He interpreted the verse as if Jesus was talking and referring to the people who knew the light and turn their backs to it. Which is completely false as Jesus was referring to gentiles in particular the Romans and the Greek so he said do not give what is holy he means the the message that was given to him by God Jesus knew that those Romans and Greeks would change his message and corrupt it He said also to the way of the other nations go not
Jesus' "pearls" are the Wisdom He Is. The swine are the foolish men...Jesus is recalling here the Jewish Wisdom Literature where the wise man does not share his wisdom with fools, because they would rather attack you. This is a common theme in the Old Testament. As in Sirach: Sirach 22:13 Do not talk too much with a foolish man, and do not visit an unintelligent man; guard yourself from him to escape trouble, and you will not be soiled when he shakes himself off; avoid him and you will find rest, and you will never be wearied by his madness. another example Jesus echos the teaching in Proverbs: Proverbs 9:7 -10 He who corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury. Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will still be wiser; teach a righteous man and he will increase in learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. So the Wisdom Jesus is, and the wisdom He teaches is not to be shared with the fools, who are the swine. ... All throughout the Sermon Jesus references Wisdom ( as in Solomon, known for being most wise , building a house, etc and other metaphors.) That the Apostles and Jesus referred to Himself as Wisdom is hinted at in the Gospels: Luke 11:31 (&Mt 12:42) The queen of the south shall rise in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold something greater than Solomon is here. .. 1 Corinthians 1:24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God… .. Colossians 2:2-4 That their hearts may be comforted, being instructed in charity, and unto all riches of fullness of understanding, unto the knowledge of the mystery of God the Father and of Christ Jesus in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. ... Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. The Church has passed on this tradition of referring to Jesus as Wisdom -St Justin Martyr wrote this comment that Jesus is sometimes called Wisdom in his Dialogue with Trypho [61]: “Friends,” I said, “ I will give you another testimony, from the Scriptures, that God begot before all creatures a Beginning, who was a certain Rational Power from Himself, and whom the Holy Spirit calls the Glory of the Lord, or sometimes the Son, sometimes Wisdom, sometimes an Angel, sometimes God, sometimes Lord and Word. You make all the sense in the world, because its abstract and as such it doesnt mean anything. Once you apply this to current issues, you will be forced, albeit, reluctantly, to start pointing fingers
