Hurricane Beryl powered towards Mexico late Wednesday, after battering Jamaica’s southern coast with devastating winds and sea surge.
The Category 5 storm left a trail of destruction in its path across the Caribbean, killing at least seven people as it strengthened rapidly.
Beryl pulled away from Jamaica late Wednesday and was expected to pass just south of the Cayman Islands overnight, before moving onward to Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

I hope these poor dogs find their way back to their owners & homes. Poor babies. these pups are smart by remaining very calm & not trying to jump in to the treacherous river were they could drown. They look scared but, are remaining calm. Their mindset is "Keep calm & carry on". Dear Heavens please Bless these pups with safety & please return them to their homes & families 💙🇯🇲💚

Every time a hurricane passes by Jamaica he leaves defeated with a few black eyes. It can not figure out for the life of god how these trees not even budge and survive 150 miles an hour wind and the trees cant figure out how these dumb storms have not learned their lessons that they are hurricane conquerors . The poor hurricane have to go back and report that they have once again failed to mash up Jamaica like they do everywhere else

They are Probably stray dogs 🐕, this was a major deal, the country bracing for what the PM and the Medias was broadcasting to be a CAT5 Catastrophic Disaster, in times like these, as much as we love dumb animals, human lives come first in these scenarios. Thank GOD it wasn’t as bad as it was forecasted. But I do hope GOD Angels led those dogs to safety. I wouldn’t be blaming people for that. 😊

Please, people praying for dogs, those dogs are dead mate. Domestic pets usually stay outside in Caribbean homes. I really can't believe the trash I am seeing in this video. The leader of Jamaica knew the storm was coming and does not seem to have done any clean up to make the storm and waters pass through without sweeping animals and trash away too.
