In this video I do a brake fluid flush on my CBR 600RR.
Brake fluid needs to be changed periodically in order to keep the system clean and running at optimal levels.
Brake fluids can get contaminated over time + they absorb moisture in the air, so it's important that you do a regular service interval of replacing your brake fluid with fresh fluid.
This is actually quite a simple process. In this video, I used the extractor technique, if you would like to see a video on the manual technique, let me know in the comments below.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While doing your brake fluid. There are just a few things to remember...
1. take EXTRA care not to let any dust or particles get into your brake fluid system. (Don't do your brake fluid in a dirty area ... )
2. Don't let ANY air get into your system. (You do this by filling the reservoir before it gets too low.)
3. If you also have a CBR600, when you are trying to get the cap off of your front reservoir, turn the bars to the right!!
4. USE USE USE USE towels to cover anywhere you might drip brake fluid on your bike. You do not want any fluid getting on your paint. It will take less than 10 seconds for it to start ruining your finish. IF you do get it on your paint, use a soapy rag to clean it off ASAP.

See the tools I used below.

It’s a lot easier to replace the OEM bleed nipples/fittings with Speed Bleeders. You could’ve installed them and flushed the brake fluid in 20 minutes or less.

did you only need one bottle to fill it up after fully draining the old fluid?

Do you wear any Levi’s jeans in particular or a leather biker jacket with your motorcycle?

Hey Smantha! I actually am not sure what jeans I'm wearing, fwiw they are not levis in this case lol. As for jacket - lately I have been wearing my Dainese textile jacket when I ride. It's a bit cooler in the hot weather.
