Trailer tires looked a little squat after loaded. Glad the boulders didn't get bound up when getting dumped. "Holy cow that's big" & "oh my goodness that's a load" where have I heard that, oh yeah, that's what she said, lol
Sam's been watching too many Letsdig18 video's, methinks! Great outcome though!😅 Always amazes me just how versatile those seemingly small excavators can accomplish!
Hello, it's always fun to see how you organize your property. But putting the lumber directly under the edge of the roof is not a good idea. You have put pallets under the wood, which is very good, but water is constantly coming from above and in large quantities, so you can just throw the wood onto your burning pile more quickly . :) A tarpaulin would preserve the wood for you or another location but then also with a tarpaulin. Greetings from Berlin
Hello from across the pond! Thanks for the advice about the wood. That stuff is 36 year old treated lumber from my parent's pool deck. I salvaged it and it is totally expendable. I'll use what I can but if some gets ruined, it's okay 🤠👍
Good morning Sam. Yes, don't burn your dad's firewood, lol. Nice job loading those boulders with a gentle touch. That was a lot of weight in the trailer and probably a good thing that you had the load further back so the trailer would dump. Nothing gets the garden growing better than a slow rain day. Have a good one!
Thanks Paul! It was a massive load. Probably the heaviest I've had in that trailer. I loaded to the back on purpose. If I got all the way there and it wouldn't dump, I'd be stuck with them 🤠👍
I normally have to fix a tool so I can fix a machine so I can move a broken machine to get something behind it out and then I get to do what I needed that machine to do. Needless to say I don't get a lot of stuff done lol
It hasn't rained here in a couple of days so maybe I will be able to get out in the garden and yard o do some stuff!!! Water has finally gone down enough I can actually see some more of the yard!! Lol
Wow! I do think we are going to see a long stretch of dry weather. I may actually have to water the garden with the sprinkler. But, it will allow me to get a final grade on my parent's back yard 🤠👍
Isn't it funny how to get one thing done can be quite a project. To get to this ya gotta do that & to get to that ya gotta do this & to get to this ya gotta do that & yda,yda yda ! To get an hours work done ya gotta work 4 or 5 hrs. Have a great weekend.
Absolutely! That series of tasks took me days to complete, but it feels so good to get them all done. Things are really starting to shape up around here 🤠👍
As I was growing up in a farming community in North Dakota The old saying was corn had to be “knee high by the 4th of July” or you would not get very good yield. Not sure how delayed your videos are but looks like you might be eating canned corn this year.
So you're going to let God sort out the garden... reminds me of the story about the guy out working in his garden. The pastor stops by and says, 'My that's a fine looking garden that you and the Lord have there!' The guy replies, 'Yeah, but you should have seen it last year when I left it up to the Lord to take care of it!' 😂 It does seem like you should be seeing more corn! Hmmmm
Haha! Yes, God is very busy. I'll need to do my part to keep it going. The seed package says the corn is a 74 day yield. I guess I'll get what I get this year and make adjustments next year. 🤠👍
