Currently, I am pursuing my PhD online, too! Kudos to the young lady that is taking two classes per semester. 😅 I would also suggest that she writes her discussions and assignments to the rubric. The rubric is a great guide and tells you precisely what you need to do in order to obtain all designated points. Another tip is you may want to wake up an hour early before work to get some reading/assignments done. And finally set up boundaries when working (e.g. stop working at a certain time, place phone on "do not disturb" while working, etc.). Great tips and Tfs!

@@theacademicsociety Another tip... don't forget to use Grammerly to check for punctuation and grammar for writing assignments.

Thank you for sharing. I’m in a hybrid program. Yes, prereading is a must. Also, I’m still learning how to skim effectively and not over do it while I’m learning.

Yesss! It takes practice but you are going to be so good at skimming all of the right parts! Definitely a skill that is always useful!

My school lets me see the syllabus about three days before the class begins. It would sure be nice to be able to see the syllabus for all of my future classes right now. I know they are subject to change, but that doesn't change the fact that I could do a lot of prep work, including getting a jump on required reading, if I knew what that required reading was ahead of time.

At my school, we are required to share our syllabus on the department website at the beginning of each semester. So students can see all past syllabi. You may want to ask if old syllabi are available and that can help you get an idea of what to expect.

@@theacademicsociety I can see what the required textbooks are, but I can't see the syllabus until 3 days before. As you can imagine, it's very frustrating, especially for someone with a project management degree that likes to plan well ahead.
