Dip powder is acrylic powder it tends to have alot of pigment and the acrylic particals are extra fine, it doesn't hurt to use monomer w/ them but they don't bind as strong as w/ the glue, so in short dip powders are the equivalent of a design powder and definitely need to be capped with clear acrylic for strength.
