Scotty Kilmer you forgot to mention how the MAF sensor deals with shift patterns. And a bad sensor can ruin a trans.

Scotty I have a 95 Nissan maxima 3.0l with the automatic transmission. I have serviced the trans fluid and filter but it seems like it's stuck in 3rd gear or something. It takes off slow but when it gets up to speed it takes off like a rocket but never changes out. My fluid level shows that its accurate. Any suggestions

Scotty Kilmer Question, I have a BMW e46 2003 and I need to change the oilpan casket, (I will do this myself) is there a easyer way to change it....because the dealer takes the engine out. Thank you, Greats from Holland (Europe)

I'm 21 I just I bought my first car 5 months ago. I didn't know a single thing so when it started acting up i would take it in but they never seem to fix the problem. So I started watching your videos. Turns out it was the MAF SENSOR. Even ford themselves missed it. After that I got tired of paying someone to fuk up my care when I can do it for free. Your video is really made it possible to fix my own car now I can't stop learning about vehicles. And everything around that thank you for your amazing knowledge and all the money your saving us.

Would have been curious if just cleaning tge MAF sensor would have resolved the problem as they can get grubby especially if the air filter isn't changed frequent e ough.

I had a problem with my 1998 Toyota Sprinter, it use to take long to pick up when I press the gas pedal but I realized that the manifold had a leak. From I fix it the car as been running so good. Thank you Scott.

Just replaced the MAF sensor on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500hd with the 6.0 Vortec. Same issues. Runs like a champ again! Love your videos Scotty!

Just cleaned my air intake filter, but truck is still loosing power after five minutes of driving. Almost couldn't get home. Hopefully the MAF sensor is my issue.

THANK THE LORD YOU POSTED THIS!!! I have a 2002 GMC Yukon XL with 226,000 miles and the truck just threw up both of those codes and the truck runs perfectly fine and the fuel pump was replaced at 200k for preventative maintenance and there was no vaccum leak so I couldn't it out but now hopefully replacing the MAF will help. Thanks!!!

Scotty, we love the channel! Question: 2003 Highlander v6 160k miles sometimes has issue of shifting into highest gear(overdrive?) in highway speeds so it will rev around 3500 rpm. Been able to quick fix it by pulling over, shutting car off, waiting 10-20 seconds, starting it up again. Alot of times doing that fixes the problem but it all seems very sporadic. What could possibly be causing this problem? Electrical failures? Transmission going out? Is it a common issue?

Ive had very good luck with the 99 4.3, 2001 4.3, the 2004 5.3 and the 2002 8.1. All motors have been excellent.

My 05 Tahoe's engine made that exact whining noise and I searched for a vacuum leak and never found one. After seeing your video I'm seeing there wasn't one.
