We Agree with what you’re saying about how you should take care of yourself, & “when both partners achieve self sufficiency, then the relationship will last a lifetime.” Completely agree with that ! You should give your partner room and space to grow, & what I mean by that is that you can still go attack your day with all the things you actually want to do, achieve on your own & I do the same thing. Then we both come back home tell each other about our day so we can actually talk more than just a “wyd”, “ I miss you”, because that only goes so far you feel me. So we want you to be your own boss, have your own life, enjoying the things you want to do, & will FULLY support you in doing those things. When we say be submissive we’re talking from the biblical meaning of it when it comes to a relationship because we’re Christ followers. Not the typical mean when you surrender your free will & be a puppet lol. For example it like asking him for help with something & his like baby I don’t think you should that, because x y z. While trusting his decision as a leader, BUT while you also feel empowered to give your point of view of the reason why you want it do that way. Because he probably didn’t see your vision for it when he first seen it, but when you show him why you wanted to do it that way you could change his whole thought process on how he sees things. So submitting is not just surrendering its value each other’s opinions and trying things both ways. You feel me lol ?
