This is old news. I've talked to Lynch about this in the early 2000s. Even without the steroids, he would have been in killer shape, like he is now. Just not as much mass. I clicked with Lynch over music, he was my musical inspiration and being a long time bodybuilder, since I was 17, we had that in common. It's great he is still so into health and fitness. I don't even think he drinks alcohol. Smart man.

I’d say the painkillers were the #1 culprit of pro wrestlers dying, then the booze, then the cocaine. They would’ve died a lot sooner without the steroids. I’m talking Testosterone and HGH. Other stuff like Dianabol and Trenbolone is a one way ticket to liver kidney and all kinds of problems. Its not as black and white as George made it out to be. I dont think he knew how much or when to take them. Probably didn’t even do post cycle therapy and his nads shut down all together for awhile 🤷♂️ if you’re gunna mess with your endocrine system, at least do the proper research before going full blast lol
George Lynch's anabolic steroid use was very minimal and short-term compared to a competing bodybuilder. Maybe 1/100 to 1/1000 of what a serious competitor would take. Your general OTC body builder "supplements" would be much more effective now. Pretty sure he still lifts a bit (Planet Fitness) like most people do now.
Self medication never works out. Had my leg amputated awhile back, and only took the prescribed pain meds for a month. Yhrew em out after that. They kinda scared me.

Like Lynch had a body that couldn't be had with diet and training. If he was on steroids, and I don't know why he'd lie about it, then he either wasn't using them properly, they were fake, or he wasn't training hard. He didn't have any kind of bodybuilding physique worth mentioning.
When he got into this "bodybuilding" phase he was way over 40 years old. At that age no amount of PEDs, THT or whatever would give you the physique you could achieve in your 20s or early 30s. He was using them properly, it's just that he was way too late for that.
Naturally all you have to do is eat more at the right times when your working out. To build you have to add. To lose you have to subtract. Simple as that.

I’d agree. I’ve lost friends to drugs … and I think it started with testosterone injections while he was a sophomore (under the bent tutelage of our strength coach). I could never match the strength or cut of my few friends who dabbled in steroids but in hindsight I see I was right to steer clear.
He was juicing and it is bad for your health. I have been on TRT doses for 5 years and I have had some health issue, albeit minor. For example, I now have Seborrheic Dermatitis that affects my scalp, chest and worse of all, my fucking face 😅. I have had high HG and HCT, or Hemoglobin/Hematocrit. However, the high RBC’s are not dangerous unless you have JAK-2 mutation, etc. Donating blood will just crash your Ferritin. It’s not ida at all. If you have super high RBC’s and symptoms, donate once or twice and let it go and you will level back out. It will go back to what it was Pre TRT for most. The blood clot crap is bogus and there’s no evidence at all that supports this. There is evidence that you don’t need to donate. Anyways, Dokken was a badass band from 1984-1987
Damn, I was actually going to try steroids this year. I could never hold down a job because I'm too slow, have a ridiculously fast heart beat, always short of breath, passing out all the time, and very clumsy. I'm tired of getting screamed at and fired all the time. Should I just ignore the advice and get the steroids?
That’s 1000% achievable naturally after a couple years of training for most people. I love George Lynch but it does not in any way require gear to look like he did, nor do bodybuilding competitors (especially the enhanced ones) look like he did.
its not impossible but really REALLY hard to be ripped AND have any muscles naturally when you're 40-50. Especially if you want to have any life outside of dieting/working out.
HALF the earth can’t look like that without steroids. Spend 10+ years swinging iron 4-5x a week it’s impossible not to. Unless you’re in the McDonald’s diet

Obviously his gym/steroid experience came from the ego/insecurities side of his personality. Should have maybe focused on the healthy living aspect of the fitness world. The sport didn't make those choices...he did...

The silly thing is that George Lynch could have gained most of that muscle mass without PEDs - but it would have taken 5-10 years. AND if he had taken the 'Slow Route', he wouldn't have the health issues and he'd still be muscular and healthy. Instead, Lynch buddied up with the 'Juicers' at the Gym because he wanted instant results - 20-40lbs in several months as opposed to several years. That's NOT Bodybuilding's Fault - that George Lynch's BAD CHOICES. And if you look back on his Music History, he's made a lot of those there too.

@@poindextertunes I’d have to be about 5 inches taller. Since I’m 5”11. Just half an inch short of 6 foot. Rn I’m in the middle of rehabilitation. Multiple trigger point injections over multiple doctors appointments. Muscle manipulation. I had a bacterial infection that because a staph infection. I’m near the tail end of it. I have a limp because of a knot in my left foot after I had muscle manipulation done the last time on my calves. A bunch of pressure got dumped into my feet. I was working at a foundry at the time when it was at its worst and they were making me do almost every single position in the building besides the furnace or being a supervisor. They didn’t adhere to my doctors note and it got worse overtime. My memory was really bad. I couldn’t remember my kids birthdays at the time. This started when I was 27. I’m 31 now. Just getting done with a divorce. The pain that I’ve been going through is exhausting. It’s a kind of hell that I wished not on my enemy. I’ve gotta take my routine slow. It’s a mix of Bruce Lee and Arnies routines combined. I used to be able to workout 6 times a week. I’m up to half right now. Tbh the pain keeps me in a state of anger on a consistent basis and it can be tiring after a while. I try to listen to as much music as I can or keep my mind busy to keep it off the pain so that it doesn’t get worse.
@@poindextertunes I also had a Mohawk at the time before the infection and I got compared to Lesnarr a lot. So yeah you’re not wrong on that comparison. I’ve also gotten the Terminator as well because my face is similar in facial structure between the t800, a little bit of Patrick Bateman and Sycho Sid. I used to have bleach blonde hair as a kid till I was 14 when it started getting darker over time.
