@@killboxone I play mostly hard rock professionally (cover and tribute bands) but no 80's metal (yet..... muuhahahahahha). Still play metal for my own pleasure. I was in metal bands from 83 to 89 and it was so much fun. I'm a little too old to head bang without a few days recovery. It's all coming back though. So, never say never..... Keep up the great content dude!!!!

Hey Stephen you know your Jackson's dude. It's probably my favorite guitar I own and have played to date. It's the only custom build I own. This Jackson Soloist USA Custom Shop SL2H-MAHQ with a speed neck is #53. I really dig it and the abalone inlays. It's setup so buttery smooth to play. I don't think I'll ever sell it. @@killboxone I recently said to a couple of metalhead friends that I consider Lynch a perfect rock guitar player. He's technical and complex, but keeps that fiery rock energy, he's not a slave of being too technical just for the sake of it, or overly complex trying to play some super smart whatever. Btw great cover!

@@ManfredRS Lynch is one of the best IMHO. It's about groove/feel and tasteful licks/solos. He does that and is still very technical. Just playing a million miles an hour does nothing for me. If it doesn't have a good groove/riff and the licks/solos are not tastefully done, in general it sucks. Prime example AC/DC. They have simple riffs (catchy and awesome) and the leads/licks are tastefully done. One of the best bands ever IMHO for a variety of reasons, but the simple answer is their formula. Lynch is legend. 🤘

@@killboxone what's your setup? Back in the day i used an ADA MP1 with alesis quadraverb, MEQ230, BBE sonic maximiser, Rocktron HUSH and ADA B200 200w RMS into (2) 4 X 12 straight cab's that I built loaded with FANE's. Now I use the THU through a computer....LOL

@@mikeking7582 I've always been a Mesa guy since I grew up in Petaluma. Back in the day (late 80s/early 90s) I used a Mesa Boogie 50 cal+ head with 2x12 cab for gigs. Currently I have a Bandlander 100 and Road King II cab. I also have a quad cortex and use vst plugins in the DAW (Reaper). I tone whore a lot. Always searching for the perfect tone, but like bigfoot it doesn't really exist and is elusive. Just when you think you have it after a little while, you're like fuck that sucks and once again back to tone whoring for that awesome/perfect tone.

@@SoCalDrone4u no fractal. I have a few toys. Quad Cortex, Mess Badlander 100 and vst plugins. I generally just go clean/direct into the DAW and use vst plugins to shape the tone to the backing track. This way I can tweak it without having to track it again. I know I can do the same with the Quad Cortex (clean track and dirty track), but at this point it's working out ok. I need to experiment more with my other options, but for now this is quick and simple.

@@killboxone Gotcha. Yeah, I’m using VST plugins too. I can get killer tones but sometimes it’s hard to capture that “boof” low end chug which I adore. Sounds like you’ve achieved it. Any suggestions?
