@@SlyBurrito360 lol naw before the first two big updates the audio Quality was garbage on cod mw 2020 I went through half a day tuning headphones for the first time just to get that 3 meters of footsteps audio

I gotchu man. That's the goal. Thing is, the way Infinityward/Sledgehammer design the audio in COD.. is intentionally limiting. Notice how when you change the eq on a single band it changed the sound of multiple actions in game? That's because they use the same frequencies, same frequencies equals same changes. The only way to change isolated sounds, is to modify game files within the main game folder.. which COD will ban you for. They don't wish to fix the game, and want to keep us from doing so as well. However, I'm working on something big. Stay tuned.

Did anything change with the S2 reloaded update? I also bought the crinnacle zero per recommendation and bought dolby access and couldn't hear footsteps for shit. I am back to my sennheizers... what am I doing wrong?

Haven't tried em, but if they work.. they work. Personal preference really... but most times these type of audio sources won't bring results.

Things like game and performance mode, never work across the board. Aside from that, I have a newer vid you might find better than this. Try both and let me know the result man. You'll be whoopin your buddy in no time.

Volume leveler makes all frequencies the same volume. Virtualizer is supposed to create a more involved and reactive environment. The reason neither of these work well in cod is because 1) leveler ruins the eq, and 2) virtualizer cuts the distance you can hear enemies.. in half. The settings are useless here.

I also realized that having the virtualizer and leveler turned off lowered the sound volume in my headset even at top volume setting. Does this mean I'll have to turn my max volume mix back up to 100 or close? it's currently at 50

I always wait to post until I have some actual results, don't wanna waste anyones time.

The bass is already elevated by EQ, if you use boost in game, it doesn't help much. It can make footsteps a tad louder, but it also makes explosions, aircraft, weapon fire and everything else more bass heavy as well.. therefore, bass boost in game defeats itself as everything competes for your attention.

No, it's exactly as it sounds. "Levels" off or caps the total volume of all sounds at the same level.. therefore defeating the purpose of the EQ.

@@JBORD101 thanks it just doesent make sense because everythings louder so it feels like it's just adds more bass and increases the volume

Use one or the other, you'll get spotty audio using two different EQs on the same audio source.

@houstonburns9222 make it FLAT. The worst thing you can do is use two equalizers, battling for the same audio source will only result in worse sound than cod already has.

@@JBORD101 would you say the same about using GG engine and Dolby Atmos together on Xbox series X? Keep gg engine on flat and use your settings for atomos? I’m currently using an arctis nova 7x’s and I’ve tried about 3-4 different setups. All have been excessively loud with gunshots and grenades going off. I’ve been looking for something specific for GG engine, but can’t find anything on google or RU-vid.

This far in, I'm doubtful they'll provide a meaningful driver fix.. but it would be nice. For now, I'll continue providing damage control on behalf of this studio.

I just bought the Steelseries Arctis Nova 7P… my most expensive headset to date. Upgraded the firmware, but kept it in Smiley and volume limiter OFF because I’m not good at EQ settings. Is Dolby Atmos free for PS5 or is this just a PC thing. Doesn’t Sony use their 3D audio or is that different than Dolby-Atmos?

No idea, only you can verify your own settings.

There's a digital switch. If you can use this eq, you can turn of perf mode.

I think you have to turn it off in the "game" section.

Better dynamic soundstage with home theater.

Dac is flat.

Dolby for it's simple consistency. But Sonar for more tweaking options.

@@JBORD101 Thanks, I’ll definitely give Dolby an shot then. I currently have Arctis Nova Pro’s. Running on Sonar and it’s not so great, with and without spatial audio on. Looking forward to seeing how this sounds. Question man, do you happen to mess with the setting slider on loud equalization? I’ve got mine on, and I have the slider over to short on tally mark 2. Just curios as to if you even messed with that or not.

Try my eq, then try putting leveler on. You'll realize many pros, are full of hot air.

It helps in some games, but not this one. It makes sounds directly close to you more realistic, but doesn't make audio futher away (like an enemy running) 10 or more meters from you audible. That's why it is useless

It's supposed to be effective at enhancing surround sound. But fails to adapt well in cod.

Let's call it the anti-eq.. basically, it undoes anything you've done and makes everything the same volume. Ultimately, it is useless.

It doesn't changed based on playlist. So give it a shot man.

I've heard good things on apex and fortnite as well. But it's optimized for COD mainly

I've been looking into it, and this seems to be the better eq for now. The update didn't change much audio-wise.

Yeah, it works on all headsets, but not all headsets are good enough to handle it.
