To this day, after thousands spent on designer colognes, niche colognes, ouds and Attars nothing has been able to surpass the awe inspiring feeling this scent gives me.
I too had this back in the 90s when I was in high school. A lot of memories for me I just bought it again this week and can’t wait till it comes in to get that nostalgic feeling. Great review!!
This was the first truly sophisticated fragrance I experienced. To this very day, when I wear it, I am sure to apply some to my forearm so I can reach up and smell it all day. Literally decades later, it excites me just like the first time I wore it. I'm happy to see that so many other people remember it so fondly.
One of my best friends told me about this cologne back in 2000 and how girls would go crazy over it. His girlfriend at the time was obsessed with it so I bought a bottle and every time I wore it girls were like cats in heat near me lol. At a wedding one time the female bartender leaned over to me when I went to get a drink and she said out loud "omg I just wanna take you in the back and jump all over you" lmao this stuff is truly amazing. But you need the vintage Italy version
Just picked up my vintage 2.5 bottle today for 70 bucks which is a bargain imo. I remember back in the mid 90's I wore 3 fragrances Versace Blue Jeans, Le Male, and this MASTERPIECE!!!
Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme Made is Italy is definitely one of my favorites. To be honest, my first experience with this fragrance was the UK version and I kinda love it, along with the Germany version, but not like I do the original formulation. However, I'm fine with blending the Italy version with either the UK or Germany versions and it works very well for me. Excellent review.
Thank you Jim - good to know - I've tried the others and couldn't keep them because I was so used to the strength and performance of the made in Italy ones...
I have to agree, I first sampled the UK reformulation and liked the dna, though when I sampled the vintage, the dna is much richer and better performance.
Agree 100%. I hadn't worn Cologne for years and then went on a scent journey looking for something that could possibly capture the magic but everything has fallen short.
I bought this for myself when I was 19 in 1996. It came as a gift set. Included was a cool D&G pour homme t-shirt too. I still have the shirt and wear it sometimes. Wish I still had the juice!
Max, between you and my son, you guys have sold me on this fragrance, my son told me that I got a bottle with the silver label on it for Christmas, but I cannot to this day remember wearing it, it was quite a few years ago so I ordered a bottle of the made in Italy version and a few moments ago I got an email stating it has been shipped, now I just gotta wait, anxiously waiting now, I watch almost all of your videos, like them all, you are a very professional person I can tell, and you probably have a career as a professional, keep up the fantastic job you are doing, will be looking forward to your future videos, do some more with your son, I feel he really has your DNA, thanks.
@@tonyjuarez6296 The fragrance is fantistic and lasts quite a while, only problem now is I hate to use it to much because it is the original OG made in italy with the silver label on it and are now even harder to find, but maybe you will have some luck.
Just spayed on my wrist to remind me of the scent as i hardly wear it out these days. Listen, this is simply amazing. It projects. This is a compliment getter!
I bought this in mid 90s it had a lemon peppery musk smell with a hint of powder and the smell was pure compared to now Cant remember if it had a push spray or else it was a long time ago
Just shelled out for a vintage 4.2 and can't wait to get my nose all over it! I had the newest formulation, Intenso, and a clone (Alexandria Dolce Vita). Very good timeless manly scent. This profile will ALWAYS smell good. Can't wait for my 1994 vintage bottle!
I picked up Alexandria LA DOLCE VITA a very potent version of the original scent. very unique and the honey tobacco really turns heads. love my original Pour Homme scents, Classic Man DNA
Excellent fragrance, I first got this is 95 when I was 15 and currently have the reformulation out now, which still carries the familiar scent to me (a lavender bomb), perhaps my memories don't do it justice but it still smells the same to me. Performance wise it's still absolute beast mode. It's a powerhouse.
Hey I wanted to get your expertise on a recent purchase I made. Bought a bottle of D&G Pour homme 2007 batch, the box is velvet but doesn’t have the sticker logo on the box, apparently the bottle has the sticker logo on it. Says made in Italy on the box. Is a 40ml I bought. Is this the pre-reformulation juice? The original?
Can you please give me a link where to get the original formulation euroitalia? On ebay they are charging me $150 canadian dollars plus $50 for shipping wich is ludacris . I would kindly appreciate a some kind of help/hint as to where to look for it. Thanks in advance! New Sub here !
Ohh wow that's your boy ? Handsome fella what a blessing he's gonna be taller then u in a couple years ... Amazing cologne between This Dolce & Gabbana Farenheit Eau Sauvage Extreme are hands down best in the game ...
I just have a few questions: Is it similar to Zaharoff signature pour homme? Is it worth getting both or is it better to get one over the other? Thank you! Good evening from Miami! Great review, good vibes and much success!
Hi Max, is the 2009 batch the 2nd edition of this 1994 scent? It doesn't have the sticker on it. And one more question, have they stopped producing this ?.
Hello Vinoo, it was reformulated a couple times. First in Germany which was the second edition still strong but not as the first edition 94-2000. The third time was made in the UK which is the weakest version. They still make this but it's even weaker these days unfortunately. The best thing to do if you like the scent is to track down a vintage version of it - Good Luck!
Max Forti hey Max , thanks a lot for the details. Mine is a 2009 batch 75ml , Made in Germany. So wat i am missing from the first batch in terms of notes? Or is it just the strength?
You can find the original (Italy) and the first reform (Germany) on Ebay. Make sure the seller specifies it as vintage in the title and that you can see original photos of the bottom of the bottle. The batch code and the country of origin is on the bottom of the bottle. You can still find the original version for cheap if you are diligent. I bought a 4.2 tester for only 29.99 USD because the seller didn't know there is a premium for the original.
Back around 2000 I had the original I bought from Marshall Field's in Downtown Minneapolis, I just got some more of it recently but it says made in France, is that still the original?
I recently received a 4.2 tester bottle of this with the sticker. I don't know but mine is t that great. Ha e you ever smelled XCHANGE by Karen Low. It smells EXACTLY the same as the one I got. What do you think of this? Thanks
i thought thats your younger brother max...wow.....i had no clue .... how do you do it?im 35 and i often get called uncle once in a while lol.love the video
this is one of my favorite scents, too bad i only have the new formulation which doesnt last as long. God bless and keep making wonderful videos such as this :)
What is the reason for the reformulations? No one seems to elaborate on that and view it objectively. Is it because there were carcinogenic ingredients now banned in perfumery? If so, than I would rather wear safer, watered down version, than harmful chemicals that will make it last longer or smell "better".
I know you love D&G Pour Homme 1994, Its my fav as well, can you confirm Potion Pull&Bear is a perfect replacement of the 1994 D&G one? Already thx for your reply!
The first 'serious' fragrance I ever bought myself back in the 90s, I loved it, as did the ladies, definitely beast mode! I recently tried the new version and was so disappointed! It's still a nice scent but really watered down and 'safe' smelling (not great value for money). I've heard that Nazareno Gabriello pour homme is similar to D & G pour homme vintage, can anyone vouch for that?
@@tonyjuarez6296 Hi yes I bought it and like it, in a similar style to D&G but not the same to me. It reminds me a bit of the smell of a fresh pack of blond tobacco cigarettes, with some citrus of course. I wonder if it has a little vibe of Versace The Dreamer too (I don't own that but have smelled it before). If you can get it for a cheap price I'd say it might be worth a try, but I can't say it's super high quality, kind of average performance but not bad either :)
There are a lot of fakes of the vintage version of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme on eBay. Maybe do a video on how one can confirm he or she has a genuine bottle.
It's just like this vintage D&G plus nice leather note. I hope youll find it and do a review, no reviews on youtube so far. Its classic italian elegant scent
