After losing my beautiful 23 year old daughter I left London and came to France, not knowing what to do . For 2 years I have been so very broken. Each day has been about existing. Waking in the morning and longing to go back to sleep. I had no purpose. My beautiful daughter was SO like you! She had essence. Beautiful, kind, crazy, joyous, loving and passionate. She loved music, singing and dancing. She loved people. Most of all she loved life. I have watched so many of your videos since finding you and you have done something to my heart that I will never be able to thank you for. You make a difference in this world. xo

Yes, she is very professional in her shooting, both photography and video. She really have an eye for it. She is interested in cooking too like I am making it very wonderful to watch. I think she uses a Canon DSLR with video capability and a drone for those aireal footages. Very well done. Perhaps she has some professional training in it. Not a normal U-tuber.

Positano stole my heart 10 years ago when I visited first and fell in love with everyone and everything. I kept coming back ever since. You are so right about this part of Italian culture. My breakfast watch ATM are Kylie's wanderings in Italy. My favourite memory of visiting Positano was the bus driving cruising the road , driving one handed, whilst answering many phone calls with 'Pronto'. If you know those roads you would know how crazy that is. To be close to the Mediterranean is heaven. Lot of work must go into making these so Ta for capturing all you have. And a Steinbeck quote!

I was in Amalfi two years ago. I stayed at a flat overlooking the piazza, above the bakery and coffee shop. I elected to remain there my entire stay to soak it up, only spending one afternoon on a chartered boat to take in the exquisite coastline. I didn’t want to leave either, but in a way it’s never left me. I go back often in my mind and I know I will return one day. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Traveling is one of life’s most precious gifts.

My husband and I happened upon your channel while looking for videos on Sicily/Italy. He is native to Sicily and came to Canada in 1965. I was born here having English roots. When we met (married for 25 years) I conveyed my love for a country, culture and people I had never experienced. Yet it came from a very deep place within me. He laughed but wasn't entirely sure if I had said that because I met him lol. Anyway, when I listen to your heart, it moves something so deep within me. I am emotional and on the verge of tears. You seem to capture how I feel. How can that be? I never understood it yet listening to you strikes a chord deep within my heart of how I feel about Italy. I know this is long but hey why not. We had the privilege of taking our kids there in 2004. Not a vacation, an adventure. We rid ourselves of everything down to 6 suitcases and left with our 4yr old son and our 5yr old daughter. Our adventure lasted just 7 short months but is forever etched in my heart. My husband and I will be back and so will our grown children. Alas, Sicilia is forever in our hearts :)

I went to Positano last year. I barely took any pictures because I was so mesmerized by its beauty. This world was meant to share. It belongs to no one, yet everyone. That being said, we must take care not to exploit or abuse what we are charged to preserve for the next generation. Lovely video.
I loved Positano. My family and myself walked down the mountain from Santa Maria del Costello... through the mist and wild flowers all the way down to the beach. We had a long glorious lunch at Brasseria del Covo. I will never forget beautiful Positano.

I was in the little boat ride a few years back as well, but it was on the steps of the church when "it" hit me. The magic that is. The church makes this community what it is. Of course, it is the beauty of the church but the locals say it is the memories of the church near the coastal beauty that will last forever.

Kylie, I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve been lucky enough to travel extensively in my adult life as well as bring my four children traveling around the world. Italy keeps a part of my soul every time we visit. I am anxious to get back to her and even if we don’t see her for a year or two I know she’s waiting with a warm smile, a glass of wine and a bowl of pasta. Positano is especially sentimental to my family. We had the great fortune of staying for three weeks a few years ago and I didn’t think we were going to get the kids back on the plane to the United States. In fact every year the question of when are we going back to Positano comes up! Thank you for sharing, I also loved the sentiment of the Chef who had been to Australia and mentioned that you can find great joy in the small things and we don’t need a lot of things to make us happy. what you said is so true about sharing hidden gems all around the world...Places I visited 30 years ago in the US that were pristine and barely inhabited are now overrun with tourists, but in the off season you can still capture some of that original mystique. The natural beauty, the people who live there, the food of this part of Italy is overwhelmingly beautiful..thank you for a great video highlighting the best part of Positano.

I fell in love with the Amalfi Coast.. we stayed in Amalfi at the little villa called Villa Lara tucked back at the end of the Main Street.. it overlooked the village with stunning views of the coast and the duomo from the front and the mountains in the back..It was magical! I love this video so much, especially when everyone was singing Volare! And when you spoke of Steinbeck.. I am from Salinas, Ca.. the history of Steinbeck is so rich here.. My soul longs to be back in Italy. One day. ❤️
Ok, I can't take it anymore. I watched a couple of your films, and its just too much for me, too much beauty, too much genius creativity, and too much sentiment and heart. Whoever you are, you are a genius film maker. The script, editing, camera work are as good as the best films anywhere. You really have a style and deserve so much attention. In America, we need you on one of the major networks or cable stations. Your films are almost too beautiful for words.PBS, Food Network, must pick you up and give you a show. And you need final say in all aspects, it has to be 100% you, nobody else. You dont need any one trying to change something or add anything. It has to be all you. Best travel/cooking show I've ever seen anywhere!

I am an Australian-Italian, and yes Italia is a gem. Only thing is that everything comes with another side in life. Italy can be difficult if you are used to getting things done quickly, or are used to timetables/organized traffic/no chaos!! If you can accept change, go. Even a trip is worth it. I am proud of my heritage. Coming back this year. Ciao.

Kylie, I have been to Italy twice within the last three years. The first time I visited Sorrento with my best friend, and then last year I took my Mum with me back to Sorrento. I’ve completely fallen in love with Sorrento- the Italian people, the Italian language, the Italian food. I can’t stay away; so much so, that I will be taking my Dad with me back to Sorrento this summer, and we will be visiting Positano (for the first time- so exciting!) I’m hoping to live and work in Sorrento when I’m in my late twenties. It’s where I’ve always dreamed of starting a family, which might have something to do with the fact that I’ve fallen in love with an Italian Man both times I have been to Sorrento. But, above all else, Sorrento feels like home to me, and I feel like I am the best version of myself in Sorrento. I know you will probably be familiar with this feeling. And I just wanted to say thank you for sharing such a special part of the world through your lens, because it has brought me closer to my dreams of living in Sorrento. But, most importantly, thank you for sharing your heart, mind and soul through your lens, because it has given me great comfort to know that there are other romantic dreamers and doers out there just like me!
