I watch every video of yours and am so grateful for daily uploads but haven’t commented in awhile so thought I’d say how much I appreciate you as a RU-vidr😍😍😍 I love you so much and can’t wait to see more for you😍🥰😘
These shelves are PERFECT. They offer so much space and are really clean looking :3 My dream is to have an entire wall of these in my room for my entire doll collection rather than the Kallax shelve for my Bratz and My Scene collection(my Barbs are literally in storage cuz they don't fit).
So exciting to watch your process, a lot of doll collectors look to you for display inspiration. The long shelves are such a good idea! To cover gaps I’ve used rubber caulk tape strips. Made to trim off between the floor and shower stall, or counter top and wall, but it’s a white self adhesive strip with a score line to get a 90 degree coverage. It’s a tiny bit off white, so it might match the shelves pretty well. Pretty cheap and sold at most home improvement stores.
Seeing you talk about the Ikea doll furniture was a fun full circle moment for me since your original review was how I discovered your channel! Keep up the amazing work ❤️
Whoa, how crazy! I need to do an update of that video since I had to delete my original one (so only the second review from last year is still up) and I can show how more dolls fit with it now!
I definitely want them under there since that space isn’t my favorite for displaying dolls (since they’re out of sight :( ) but those A-Frame houses are SO TALL!! Ahaha they take up so much space
@@xCanadensis displaying my dollhouses are such a conflict I have because I am obsessed with Barbie fold and play houses, I just love them so much but displaying them is hard. Especially since I want to just be able to play with them when I want
I went to IKEA yesterday and got some more doll storage 💗! I love that you showed so many doll shelving ideas. I’m so invested in your doll room updates 🥰 Love you 💕
I’m slowly, but surely restarting my own doll collection and I’ve been having such a tough time looking for shelves because my room is a cape cod style so I have slanted walls like an attic space. Thankfully I have like a good 50 inches before the slant starts, but it’s definitely harder to look for shelves! I think I’ll settle for some short bookcases with adjustable shelves. I can still hang floating shelves on my actual walls so I get a bit of more space, but ugh I do wish I had normal walls.
I despise glass doors and bookcases and don’t have issues with dust. The best choice of all is whatever is most fitting of the collection and lifestyle of the collector
@@xCanadensis You actually may be right. I have bookcases for my dolls and when I only think of bookshelves or simply shelves, I'm imagining all of the dust on their small heads 🥺 (I have 4 cats, so in my apartament there's a lot of dust everywhere)
@@dariagackowska556 I guess it depends on the area but for me dust really is never an issue. I just wipe them down occasionally if it does occur which it only ever did back at my parents’ house after they were on the top shelf for years (mainly the NIB ones I didn’t interact with). I haaate doors because there’s a glare and I have to open the doors to interact with the dolls… and they can’t overhang. I want them to have as much space as possible
I had so much fun watching this😍 Thank you for taking us along. This type of video is really relaxing and fun to watch and always such a blast. Also, I have a question regarding dolls on display: How do you handle the dust if you do not have closed shelves? I have a few dolls displayed on my tiny shelf since I have very little space but it frustrates me so much when they collect dust. I haven’t found a good way of getting rid of it or preventing it unfortunately😣
I loved this episode! Brooke video and Ikea, Two of my favorite things ❤️ oh and of course it made us want to go so family trip to IKEA is set for next Friday 😂
uuuugh I want those wall shelves. we live in an apartment and we're technically allowed to make holes in the walls but... well, neither of us is really comfortable with that, but as you mentioned, the Billy type bookcase is only good if you have a few dolls, and I'm steadily moving above 50 in a short amount of time.
Billy will hold 200+ in my experience but it depends on how cramped you like your displays. I just don’t like the sides being confined because if I want to display 2 dolls in one section and 10 in the next, it throws off the whole look
Omg I use a lack shelf too! I fit about 40+ rh dolls in it including big amaya and jr high. I also use the variera ikea riser but thats just two rows of dolls
I have the ikea doll couch and the book case…perfect size. I have my glitter girls stuff staged on the bookshelf next to lila and lily sitting on the couch
We also just moved and I have some of the same Lack shelves that you got but shorter from the last place which I had used as floating side tables. I also had the idea to use them in my new office to display dolls so I really can't wait to see how you have them all set up for some inspo! I have the tall Lack shelves too that has several tiers of shelves but sadly RH dolls are too tall on their stands to fit them and you can't adjust their height which is a bummer.
Can you please let me know where you got the clear acrylic risers? Or tips on other things to use as risers? I have a deltolf I’m trying to figure out the best risers.
Just a suggestion for the lighting on the shelves! I think light strips would look a bit better and distribute the light much more evenly, and it would probably be much cheaper. I love love love the little round lights for the dollhouse though!
My on regret on my shelves is getting them in black...you can really see the dust but they are twist and turn shelves off of Amazon and they are renter and moving friendly
My Billys are set up as doll rooms, with each kind having their own shelf and environment... But I've ended up with shelves attached to the wall lining the room. I have so many vintage Barbies it was just easier...
Floating shelves are the dream. Right now I have 3 bookcases from walmart and they are actually pretty good for the room I have at the moment. Plus they're only about $22 which makes them super affordable. The ones I have are 3 shelf but there's also 5 shelf ones in the same style for about $37
Atlanta Ikea always has stuff out of stock!! Not gonna lie if they sold that little pink doll couch separately I'd snatched a bunch of them up. Ikea's worth the trip for me just for the Swedish meatballs & Lingonberry juice.
It was SO busy I was in shock! I think the pink couch set is the superior set because it has the amazing Kallax unit too! And the rug is fantastic. Sooo cute. I had that exact couch in human size when I was a kid
