I found lots of cool books including recent run fillers, some fun one shots, a few nice cover buys, and even a couple keys. Great finds! Congrats on that unique first that you grabbed! I've yet to get one. One day! That x-factor book is one of my favorites. Loved x-factor as a kid in large part because of Walt Simonson's work. If it makes you feel better, I paid 20 for my copy lol. Great inexpensive haul. Thanks for sharing!

So funny! That’s why I remind myself that I just need to be ok with the condition and price when I buy it. There’s always a chance you’ll find it cheaper down the road. But it’s not all about waiting for a better price. It’s also about finding and acquiring the books you really like. I also agree with you on Simonson. I love looking back on his art from that run. So good.

Chris you are indeed fortunate to live close to so many comic shops. New issues are really expensive these days too. That X-Factor was a win. I went to a comic market event in my state and among other things found Daredevil 227 the 1st ish in the Miller Born Again run for only a few bucks more than the cost of a brand new comic.

Nice! On the topic of new comic prices, I can’t say for sure but it looks like we’re seeing a jump on some marvel titles to $4.99. Kind of crazy. Makes me more and more selective about which titles I pick up new and which ones I wait on.

Yeah, they had a mix of older and more recent back issues. I love finding current or recent runs in the dollar bins.

I am so envious of you, Chris! You've got so many dollar sales to attend in your area. I have only one LCS within an hour of my house, and they never have such sales. So I only get to go dollar-bin diving at cons (e.g., Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC). Nevertheless, this doesn't stop me from collecting passionately! Last weekend my shop did have a nice sale ($15 off if you spent $50), so I grabbed a dozen Bronze Age issues, five Marvel Spotlight (featuring Son of Satan) and seven Ghost Rider comics from volume one. Anyway, I'm always drooling over the bronze Marvels that you're able to find in dollar bins! Thanks for sharing!

I’m glad you like the hauls. I’m also sorry to make you drool. Not my intention, I just like to share. I get the feeling of not having many shops in your area. I never had anything like what I have here in the Twin Cities. If I didn’t, I’d be like you, still collecting passionately but obviously much more selectively!

I’m glad you like them. I’ll say, I’m willing to pay more than a dollar or two for back issues but very selectively. Usually I’ll do it to fill the final issue in a run or other key to complete a goal. Otherwise, I often wait because I also love the thrill of the hunt and waiting to see if I can find a book that cheap at some point.
