Hi, I think we can all agree that she is one of the best people to understand and talk too. She is such a wonderful trainer!❤️

@@Luandpenny literaly every single one of her “training tutorials” are useless. The entirety of her training is based on dominance which has been scientifically disproven MULTIPLE times. She bases her training methods on the notion that horses have a developed pre-frontal cortex and therefore can understand the concept of respect which is again, false. As much as you may like her, her training methods are extremely outdated. This isn’t a debate on +R and -R as both have a place in training, this is about refusing to acknowledge the concept of dominance is wrong (and this is not my opinion it’s a literal scientific fact which you will find hundreds of articles on and real world examples of both domesticated horses and horses in the wild. It’s literally the structure of their brain). Until she acknowledges she is misinforming a young impressionable audience I would not call her a wonderful trainer.

I wanted to get a small brush for grooming my horse’s face. I found the perfect soft brush at the Dollar Tree in the baby section for just $1.25, as opposed to the inflated prices at the farm stores or tack shops.

@imzadi83fanvids7 4 месяца назад
I never thought of a baby brush, that's a great idea! A small baby brush would also look less intimidating when approaching their face. I'll have to get one for the school horse I ride, she doesn't like her face brushed normally and it's difficult to do it with a larger brush anyway.

A barn I stayed at used cheapo training potties to lift trot poles. They had a slight lip on both sides that prevented the poles from rolling off. I thought it was brilliant!

I love most of those ideas! Just two things I'd like to mention: Most baby shampoos have a ph of around 7.0 for them not to sting in the babys eyes. Too alkaline for the needs of horses skin though. Horse shampoos usually have a ph around 6.3, which is catered much better to the ph of horses skin. It is a widespread misconception that baby shampoos beeing gentle to babys equals beeing gentle to horses skin as well. Not the same. 😉 Secondly: a girl at our barn used to use similar plastic pots for raising trot poles off the ground. One day her horse accidentally stepped on it and it broke. One of the plastic shards penetrated the soft white line of the horses hoof quiet deeply and it got really ugly. The vet had to remove it and the horse was lame for a while because an abscess formed inside of the hoof. Just wanted to get it out there, obviously every horse owner has to decide for themself what to do and what not. 🙂

Ooh I wonder if you could paint his white spots black and somehow make him look like a chocolate chip cookie, lol. Non-toxic chalk (including the sidewalk chalk) can be used to dye fur as well. Though it's lighter and probably best on grey horses or white spots. I've never used it on a horse, but I know people have. It worked great on my dog. You forgot candy canes. After Christmas these are often discounted. You have to check ingredients to make sure the kind you are getting are horse safe, but if they are it's a great time to stock up on cheap horse treats. I've heard some horses like Peeps too and they can also be found at the Dollar Tree.

I have that exact Dollar Tree caddy! I used mine in this past show season to keep small important items at hand like sunscreen, Chapstick, safety pins, bobby pins, a little hairbrush, a pen, a folded up class list, a mini first aid, kit, bug spray, an energy bar and some drink mix, packets.

I wish there was a dollar tree in Australia 🇦🇺
@tonysansom
@tonysansom Месяц назад
At current exchange rates, the AU $ is worth US 65 cents which would make an Ausralian store much harder to stock with worthwhile items. Even the US $1.25 that Camilla was talking about would still be less than AU 85 cents.

This question doesn't have much to do with this video, but since it's your most recent I'm putting it here so hopefully you'll see it. If I am bringing home a horse alone, and it won't have a companion for awhile, is that okay? I'm just worried that he'll get lonely. What should I do?

I love your channel and hate to nitpick but the skin pH of humans and horses is not the same. In fact it doesn't even overlap. Humans are around 4.7 -- 5.7. Horses are 7.0 -- 7.4. Idk how important that is, but worth noting. Now that I think about it, I've heard people use Mane and Tail horse shampoo/conditioner on themselves so what do I know?? 😂

A "hack" is actually a pleasure ride on a horse...or a cheaply hired employee. I am tired of the misuse of this word. The word you want is "tips" or "hints" or "tricks". Our understanding of language is deteriorating alarmingly
@lucyequestrian123
@lucyequestrian123 3 месяца назад
Language adapts by human use of it; the American “hack” means a tip or trick, the British (and some parts of America) “hack” is a trail ride or pleasure ride.
@tjjurake3506
@tjjurake3506 3 месяца назад
The evolution of language is intersesting. It seems that a lot of words are used incorrectly these days. We live in a time where penmanship is obsolete and no one can spell because software does that for you. No one cares to be corrected. I agree with you. Our language is deteriorating. Why talk when you can text?
