Brendan - awesome concept. Please do a re-match! Even add a couple more guys (girls?) so more people doing different things. Or give you and your opponent another 30 minute round to “fix up” their lure. For example, you could get a few more tools to improve your spoon (a drill?) and your opponent could fix the wire through the shark so the hook wouldn’t move around so much. Anyway, loving the low key but fun style of your videos
Yessss love the country I used to farm did it for 20 years now I'm into construction its kinda nice to get home at 5 or so and sit back and drink a beer and listen to the hum of the chopper in the distance and think how I'm glad I'm not doing that anymore...keep America runnin..#farmlife
This is probably one of my favorite top ten lures. Caught so many bass and northern pike with this lure as it looks like a real fish. This is a must in every Boundary Waters Trip.
I liked the video, and the concept is great. I would like to see each of you guys get 5min in the store with 3bucks and see what you guys come up with.
Would have used the snips to make 2 or 4 little cuts in the edges of the spoon to keep the wire from slipping. I saw an old head take a bullet weight and treble hook, flair out a smoked cigarrete filter and kinda weave it on the treble hook so it looked like a little rooster tail fluff and catch a 5lb cat fish. Sometimes just getting something in front of a fish that moves water is enough. I think the shark will work for a big bass
OMG you guys look like twins back in day as you probably already know they used to use long tree branches and tie a Not through it and use a Shiny Rock as a lure or weight with a hook at the end and earthworms as bait
One thing I noticed was they’d get a blow up, send it nearby that spot for a cast, then move on. If you get a blow up, it’s best to cast it just past where the blow up was, then reel it through the same exact path you just did. Do this a few times. You’ll usually get a blow up every time, unless you had hooked the fish and thus moved it from that spot. I’ve had many fish that jump in the same spot until I hook them, then I either catch them or lost them and they swam away.
Most excellent boyz....just stumbled across your videos. Brendan look up Chris kote with the world surf league. He could be your long lost older brother in look and voice.
What do you guys do for work? Seeing you both with black hands from glue got me curious. Funny video! Liked it a lot with the Franken Lures!! 😂😂 PS. I can tell Brendan is a bully! 😡
that was cool. you should buy a block of balsa wood and each carve your own and rig it and see who can get the most and biggest in a hour or two fish off. you know one trick I heard from old timers who have caught huge huge bass. is to make your own unique lures.. why.. because the bass are naturally interested in anything that goes in the water. and if its something they haven't ever seen you might just get that huge lunker to bite that no one else has throwing the same old same old. its why companies always come out with new.. you almost have to nowadays. with catch and release so popular the the big fish just that much smarter then one that has never been caught.
I don’t know why I don’t make my own. It would be so fun. I could probably make one with one of them penny press machines at some Disney ride one year. You know where it flattens the penny and puts a print on it.
Should change things up some time and try to make lures to catch other species. Like pike or walleye just to see if you can be equally successful with other species
The crazy thing is you guys can go out there to a pond and get bites and catch a fish with some weird shark lure but I can’t even go out to a pond and catch a bass with just regular stuff u would use for them
