Thank you so much for this!! My family and I are in a tight spot so we won’t be getting any of our close family (other than our kids) any Christmas presents but I didn’t want to feel like I didn’t get em anything so I’m making candles for em, and I’m super excited about it! Another great idea to go with it is homemade body scrub! Just put some canola oil, body wash, brown sugar!

I use the glass vases for storage containers for stir sticks, wicks etc. The frosted organizer drawers are perfect for wax melts.

It’s amazing how candle makers think alike. Everything that you’ve talked about in this video I have. Even down to the protractor, for what I don’t know. I saw it in DT and thought this will come in handy. Now I can tell me daughter to leave me alone and let me live the next time we go to DT because Simple Clarity says It’s okay to purchase here.

When I first started doing candles, all of my stuff came from the thrift stores. I uses coffee pitchers for my pouring pots. I used old pots for double boiling like you

I have 3 Etsy shops (I don't sell candles, but love watching candle making videos for some reason) and I am just like you...I use DT products for packaging and manufacturing...I even have a wire dish rack to lay my items on while they dry. Some people go all in and spend the big bucks on whatever products others are using and it's just not needed! Great video!

I found fragrance oil and you can use colored wax cubes etc to add to your candle melt to color them without buying candles dye at dollar tree as well. I typically just use fragrance oil from the dollar tree, but I may try the wax cubes the issue is if you use soy wax, you're gonna have to make sure you add enough soy to dilute the paraffin wax cubes. Thanks so much for the ideas!!

Tip: I use the salad dressing to go containers for lotion. Never had an issue with spillage.

Regarding the spray bottles, look again as I have found pks of just 2 or 3 spray bottles only which is nice it you don't want the other bottles. I also have ones that are taller and thinner that I got at dollarama or dollar tree and they have a nice very fine mist and come with 3 in a package.

I have seen someone use a pair of chopsticks to hold the wick in place, the chopsticks had a rubber band wrapped & tied around one end. Hope that helps someone.

It is true to figure out what batch have goes wrong because not all wax are created equal. Even if you purchase the same wax, but it not the same batch.

I'm so happy I can help anyone out with expenses when starting up their candle business! I understand the dangers of investing too much and then trying to make up with sales asap or not wanting to do it at all anymore and wasting the investment. I need to look up that RU-vidr, I've never heard of them but I'm sure they have some gems for me with their content.

If we use pans and pots to melt the wax then use rubbing alcohol to clean it and eat from the pan after, is it still clean while we consume the food or will it release toxic fumes?

I 100% advised that you designate a pot for candles only. I do not recommend that you use it for anything else.

So dollar trees crafters square had adhesive dots. Do you think those would work to stick wicks to the bottom of a jar? I couldn’t find much online about them.

I'm not sure. I would say if you can't find any information, test it for yourself and share it if you'd like. Just make sure to clean out your jar with rubbing alcohol before trying to apply it.
