I just whipped one up in about 30 minutes! I didn't paint mine. I love the staggered look by alternating the dark and light blocks. Can't wait to hot glue something tomorrow when it is all dry. Thanks Kelly!

I know that things on Etsy's website are pretty pricey and I live on a fixed income and when I saw your glue gun holder I was so thrilled to have seen this project and the price it took to make it. I have used everything so my glue gun drops didn't glue to everything I put down and I was so thrilled to see how simple and cheap it was to make it. I can't wait to make it and to thank you for taking the time to show us how to make a perfect holder and thank you for thinking of us people who are on a fixed income and can afford this project. I can't wait to watch your videos too see what helpful projects you make and do it for us, not to make a profit from the people who watch these videos so we can make it ourselves. I think they forgot about why they have the DIY so we can save money for other things like meds, food, paying our bills. I have made 7 of these one for me and the others to put in 2 craft shops. I used the dark and natural blocks and they turned out nice. I made the glue stick box one block taller so I could use it for my taller glue sticks. LOVE THEM, oh and I left them natural, not painted. Thank you for the video!
Thank you for sharing your budget friendly glue gun holder. I really needed something to keep that glue gun in place without sliding around and dripping glue everywhere. I'm going to head to Dollar Tree and make that today!
Thanks for sharing this project. After finishing the one you showed me I decided to upgrade it to a 2 glue gun stand that would accomadate a small and regular gun at the same time and that can hold the long sticks and regular sized ones.
Good morning Kelly, hope you are having a wonderful day. I've been your videos using for a while now and I have to say that your creations are amazing. I was at the Dollar Tree yesterday and saw at this store they had their Graduation stuff out plus they where redoing the front. Anyways they had some of these blocks up front so I decided to get a couple of boxes and try to do something with them for my sons grad party. After coming home I got some lunch sat down to eat and started watching you tube. Your video was the first one so I started watching it. Fell in love with it. I've been wanting to do something for my glue gun for awhile. Seen lots of other videos but loved yours the best. So after watching it for the second time and writing down the directions. I went back to the dollar store and picked up a few more boxes. After picking my son up front school and then getting him off to work. I came home and started putting my together. I wanted to stain mine but couldn't find my stain anywhere so I ended up using my Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. I think it turned out pretty good Now just finding someway to decorate it. Thank you so much for revamping your glue gun stand. I'm loving it. Might try to tweak it some so I have one for my larger glue gun. Again thank you thank you for sharing. Have a fabulous day. 😄
I have been telling myself that I was going to make the cardboard glue gun holder but kept putting it off. I'm so glad I did!! I really love this wooden one!! The funny thing is, I literally just bought several jenga blocks from my Dollar Tree. You have so many cute DIYs with the blocks, that I worried they would sell out & not get more in for a while, so yep...I bought 36 of them. 😮 Lol Needless to say, you'll be keeping me busy. 😁 I'm putting my current project on hold so I can finally make a glue gun holder. 😊 Thank you for the video! ☺💛

I for example have multiple tall flowers for different projects but I really want to find a way to organize all my different items

I am fairly new to crafting and I just found the blocks at DT. Started on the base and am pulling my hair out because each block is not exactly the same size. This is killing my nit picky self but I know I will love it when I am done.

Love this idea! I liked the design of the cardboard one, but wondered about how long it would last. This one solves that issue. As far as decorating, I can see using mod-podge on this with scrapbook paper or napkins, or even adult coloring book pages for a really customized look. I can also envision using stencils for an overall design, or stencil letters or stickers to spell out "glue sticks" or "Load gun here!" (LOL!). Or maybe using stickers that are "crafty," like glue guns, paint brushes, etc. Maybe even cut these on a cricut? There are so many possibilities! Thanks so much for sharing this...I never would have thought of using the blocks to make the structure. Kudos on a job well done! And thanks to the viewer who suggested it, too.
I made one with a glass trivet, two of the squares off votive holders, and one of those little glass dish style tea light holders that come in a two pack. Dollar Tree is awesome!

Omg Kelly I love this updated glue gun stand. I like it much better than the cardboard 1. I created it and was happy when I did, just didn't like fabric I used. I will be recreating this 1 as well. Tfs
