Dollar Tree Raising Prices to $1.75? *NEW* Price Increases

I found that I stopped going to Dollar Tree as often when they increased the prices to 1.25. It's just not as much fun as it used to be. I find myself going less and less often.

Better not be true. They're gonna lose a lot of customers, stuff keeps getting smaller and prices keep going up. Wish my wage would go up.

Many things I used to buy at DT are cheaper at other places now, like at Walmart, for example.

One of the things I loved about dollar tree was that everything was the same price. No surprises at checkout like every other store. Now it seems that will no longer be the case and that will be very sad indeed 😢

People keep watching because they love your personality, talent and on a budget craft content, not because of Dollar Tree. If it doesn't make financial sense any more at Dollar Tree that's just life. Things change and we have to make adjustments with the times. Most importantly vote with your wallet. It doesn't matter where your craft items come from. What matters is you creating fun and beautiful crafts on a budget whether they are already partially completed or totally created by you. Don't worry about having to change things up out of necessity. We're all having to do that, so we totally get it. You just do fabulous you and we'll be here. ♥️🤗

I’ve cut back ALOT from shopping at Dollar Tree. When it was $1.00 I have to admit I was a BIG spender!! Now when I do walk in. I grab a hand basket whether than a cart…to keeps me wanting to overspend.

I thought this might be a joke when I saw this video’s title! I didn’t mind when it went up to $1.25. I had only recently become addicted to seeing what good deals I could find based on what I saw in you guys’ videos. However, it did make it harder to estimate what my cart was going to total out to. I went from being amazed to scared 😅 Amazing how much that extra quarter changed things. It’s been several weeks since I last shopped - but the stores in my area still didn’t even have the plus section. From what I have seen online the difference in the items that were a dollar vs $5 seemed obvious enough. For me it’s the ability to not have to look at every single price tag that made DT appealing. I am SHOCKED to see that some stores now have price checkers! UNREAL!

I am super sad that no one can leave well enough alone. Its everywhere! 😢

Since the prices have increased at DT, my purchases there have decreased. I have been picking up craft items on Temu, which is great as prices can be excellent and the selection is huge. I will say the reading glasses are an excellent deal! No matter how much I pay, they get lost or break, and DT reading glasses work as well as more expensive ones, so why not save money? I will say this, you have some of cutest ideas 💡! So I'll keep watching you. Not to mention, I feel like your content is well passed and energetic. Thanks for being here.

Keep Dollar General in mind. They still have a lot of items for $1

I don’t go as often as I used to. I’ve started shopping at Dollar General when it comes to holiday items to craft with. A lot of their small stuff is $1. I still look at dollar tree for random good stuff like the goldtoe socks, etc. As for your crafts. I don’t care what you use, I will keep watching. Your are one of the creators that always does unusual crafts!

The DT in my neighborhood became like a family dollar.

So far the only increase to $1.75 in my Dollar Tree is the Coke, Pepsi etc. I didn't realize other stores were raising the price on other things!

About 2 weeks ago I went in to Dollar Tree and came out of Dollar Tree without buying a thing. That has never happened before!! Besides raising their prices, they have changed and downsized the products they sell and they're not as relevant anymore...I enjoy watching your videos, I agree with a lot of the other comments about you being real, smart, doing unique crafts and other people monetizing off of your videos! I want to know about the house behind you in this video, did you make it? I only got a glimpse of it, though... Thank you Bethany for such unique ideas!!

The reading glasses from Dollar Tree aren't bad, especially if you tend to lose them! I do think if they continue to raise prices (including the already bumped up plus stores) they will be similar to Five Below, but a lower grade product.

As an artist, I completely understand how frustrating it is when people steal your ideas or repost without crediting you. I wish there was a way for you to "watermark" your creations. You are very unique to the point where I saw a creation and thought instantly, "That's a Bethany creation!" Your content and humor is the best. Plus, I love your ideas on space living. We pay from $1.50-$2.00 now here in Ontario Canada and it has really made a difference in what and how much that I purchase. We don't have Dollar Tree Plus either. Very relevant video, Bethany, thank you!

I was part of the OG Dollar Tree diy videos too. When they increased the prices, and all of the 2020/2021 drama, I stopped doing DT videos. It wasn't worth my time and money anymore. Now I have a house full of DT crap that I don't know what to do with 😅

I use the glasses from the dollar tree all the time. They are pretty good and the style of some are great.

Hopefully the quality will continue to improve. So for me I will continue to shop at the dollar tree unless I find something equal the price or better quality. Your DIY's have helped me think outside the box with what space I have. I'll probably still hit up the DT, just watch what I'm buying now. The Easter decor was off the chain this year at DT. I love the peeps pillows and the throw blanket. The bottle brush standing carrots are adorable, too. I don't do TikTok or Instagram, so I will have to wait patiently for content here on RU-vid.

I kept finding your diys but never the source and now im glad you finally popped up. Your hot cocoa bar is how i was able to redecorate my small apartment and make it more homey. Definitely followed. The price changed have made me a lil apprehensive but tbh the quality is improving so im not complaining too much.

I've never said. BUT, YOUR my favorite. I liked you are a Wife, mother, and your doing this as well. Your ideas are great, and the fact you have also have shared other DIYers with us. That are amazing as well. I used the plastic bins for like packs of instant oatmeal, grits, or cream of wheat packs. Flavored rices. Pasta. And beans. I labeled them and it's awesome! And so easy to clean. Over the washer and dryer😮 Organization is a addiction now😂❤

If I’m gonna keep shopping at Dollar Tree depends on certain item pricing. You said it right that Walmart, Michaels Joann’s or Hobby Lobby have about the same pricing or better now. It’s been the convenience of one stop shopping. Quality matters too.

I enjoy your content because you are relatable and Iso appreciate this video. Some things are still worth it to us to buy at Dollar Tree, but not as much as before. Where I live, it's easy to just go where it'll cost less.

I saw an article that DT was closing almost 1,000 stores due to low she's 4th quarter. I saw another that they would start selling $7 items. I'm sure I'll still go to DT, but it won't be as much fun. I loved that I could go spend $20 and I was getting serious retail therapy. Now DT won't be my guilty pleasure, it'll just be a place I go when I get around to it. 🤨 my husband will be thrilled.

Your DIY's are always amazing. And even if someone copies you, I doubt they present it as well as you do. For me, it's all about presentation. And as for Dollar Tree increasing prices, mine is right next to Walmart, so I can just pick stuff up there if I know it's cheaper. Or online 😊

Last week I was charged $1.50 for a pair of glasses. Haven't even bought any Plus stuff yet. And items are getting smaller. So double thinking my shopping. Doing less shopping now but may do even less. Know your prices around. I checked in google and one said their $5 stuff will be $7. If people are buying less then they will keep raising prices to make up for it so more stop shopping. Vicious cycle. I used to check out with a full cart...no more. As a retiree I can't afford it, especially since my pension sent lower than it has been for several years since my health insurance went way up. Pissed! Thanks for reporting to us. Love your DIYs.

Great video amd great points. I've noticed that most cleaning supplies are much smaller in size , yet the prices have increased. I also noticed that some items, now sold in the $5 isles, were previously $1 items 🤯😡🤬.

I love that you do dollar tree diys because I live in Staten Island, NY and there's maybe 6 different stores. But if I want to go to Walmart I have to go across the bridge to Jersey. We have 3 Michael's and we're getting a hobby lobby soon. Although they've had the coming soon sign up for months. We lost our Joann's years ago and we have 3 targets. So dollar tree is the most convenient but I love your ideas and I would still watch you if you had to change things up and use different stores. ❤

I will continue to support your channel and not the knock-offs that steal your content. You deserve credit for your work. As for shopping at Dollar Tree, I'll definitely shop there for specific things but will do most of my $1 purchases at Family Dollar. They have stuff from Dollar Tree for cheaper because it's the same company. What I've noticed is that some people will put a price tag on their crafts (eg. Crafts for x made for under $5, etc) or made out of upcycled/recycled items. No matter what you decide for your channel, I wish you all the best. Thank you for your ideas over the years.

I noticed the other day that the soda had just increased to $1.75 and I assumed many other items would follow suit soon. I just recently saw that dollar tree has a new app with a scan feature, also. I absolutely love dollar tree & have been watching your channel & shopping there for many, many years. I will continue to buy some of the necessities I need there with a price increase, but only if it's still a better deal than somewhere else.
