Thanks for watching my Christmas Holiday Rosegold marble Ornament DIY. I wanted a way to incorporate some white winter glam with metallics and I am excited about the way this turned out! I also used ornaments from Michaels and the 99Cent Only store with nail polishes to create these beautiful decorations. I can believe how affordable it is to make it your own.
Please Note: I don't know every chemical that these Nail polishes contain but would say that a majority of items we put on our trees in general are flammable. Therefore, Like everything else, its a good rule to always exercise caution with light, heat, or flame.

I have used nail polish on the inside of ornaments before, but never thought of doing it as marble on the outside! Neat!!

These are lovely. I have some of my deceased mother's nail polishes and I think this would be a nice way to make memorial ornaments. I like that there are some gaps in the paint to let light through. That would add to the sparkle. Thanks for sharing.

I know this is an older video but I have a suggestion for you. I saw another video where they put gloves on and used their little finger to hold the ornament. But it may be best if you dip straight down instead of at an angle. Then move the ornament around to disperse the left over paint. Then you can bring the ornament up without doubling up the paint on them.

Sylk Buttafly yes dispersing the paint before you pull it back out of the water makes a huge difference. I had better luck using spray paint rather than nail polish though

Hard to believe something so pretty is so easy. You inspired me to try on the plastic ornaments that come in two pieces. do this to one half, keep the other half clear then build a scene on the inside, put them together for a faux snow globe look when you hang it on the tree.

When I taught my brownie troop years ago we used glass globes. We got them at Wal Mart there was around 12 or 20 in a box. However you are doing it a little different from us. We pour a little of each color we wanted inside the globe and moved it around to have the color move. But I think I might try some the way you do it.the difference is the way we did it it would not chip off if bumped. Of course using nail polish probably drys harder. Great looking ornaments. Gave you a thumbs up.

Like I said in the earlier comment, you can create different designs to the nail polish with a stick before dipping the bulb in and you can use this method on any surface.

Just watched, loved the idea My 9 year old granddaughter wants to make her teachers something for Christmas. Perfect. Only I'll have her use long tweezers so we can dip up to neck of ornament. I didn't care for the hate spots near neck. My sister lives in Gilbert, AZ.

How do you smooth the lumps of polish on the surface? Every time I have tried using polish, there are always globs that make them look sloppy.

Would like to have seen them finished. Did they dry smooth, or were there bubbles? Also the ornaments still had big bare spots near the tops. Did they need a spray finish to keep the nail polish from chipping or peeling off?

I would like to see more color around the top. I wonder if there is a device you could use that would insert inside the ornament while dipping it so you could get more color around the top. Love your creativeness in using bail polish! Thanks!

Love these - I might try a bit of star glitter inside, then try this process - they’ll look great with lights on the tree! Also - does the water drip off or do water bubbles form - if they are water bubbles, how do you get rid of them?

that is a great idea! You doesn't love glitter? You can tap the ornament on the side of the bowl or dabble with q tip to get rid of the bubbles before drying
