Dollar Tree Safety Razor Shave! 

I have used mine for the last 2 days and I was blown away by it...for a dollar, the razor itself and the blade is superb!!👍👍👍👍

I love my Assured Dollar Tree razor. It definitely has a place in my rotation. It's basically the "as seen on TV" MicroTouch One safety razor from a couple of years ago. Those retailed for at least $19. So, Dollar Tree offers a low end all metal safety razor for buck. It's a good deal; however, the blades that come with the razor are the worst blades I've ever used. It is most certainly the blade that caused the "over-aggressiveness" . I wished you'd popped in a different blade for your second pass so we could see how the razor performs with a real blade in tow.

The razor is made out of copper, I have one where the chrome plating missed a spot and the copper shows through which explains why it's so lite and cheap.

I only have 1 Wickham 1912 Soap. It is pretty darn wonderful. Glad you used the blade that it came with. Push the door down after blade leaded to even the cap out.

Thanks for uploading. I'm based in the UK, and I'd be interested to look into this soap by Wickham, Wickham being an English artisan if not mistaken. For sure, you sounded quite happy with this soap and the lather looked VERY dense with a lot of sheen. By & large you are right, it is suspect, let's say, when blade manufacturers don't at all identify their blades with any markings, writing on the blade. *But*, you will find that the Kai razor blades (the actual blade) are completely without any writing, any logos not anything on the Kai blades to identify them as "Kai". Yet, they're considered one of the best (for some even smoother & sharper than the Feather ones) blades available for DE razors. So, yes blades without any markings, 9.9 times out of 10 -- suspect, dubious! But not always. (If you ever buy Kai blades, source them from a reliable source, exactly because other than the box, packaging clearly identifying them as Kai, the blades themselves don't say they are Kai.) Cheers!

Entertaining! I've seen that $1 dollar razor at dollar tree several times. I can't even bring myself to spend $1 for it! A penny saved... I figured there'd be a review of it on RU-vid. There are bargains occasionally at dollar tree, in wet shaving. Not sure this is one of them. Last week they had Art of Shaving sample packs. Each pack contains pre shave oil, cream and post shave balm. Easily enough for 1 or 2 shaves. Worth a buck. The aftershaves are worth a buck too. Thanks for posting the video, saved me a dollar. Don't waste a good blade in that razor. Your face is worth more than that.

My dollar tree doesn't carry these!!! I have checked about a thousand times... I want to try one of these just for the fun of it and the price can't be beat. I have been wondering how close it really is to the Weishi 9306 models/Van Der Hagen (my daily driver)/micro touch one.

I got two of them and it works pretty good for a dollar. But the blades that came with it isn't worth a dime. So I use Voskhod blades in my and they work good in it for me.

Do you still use this razor after you made this video?

There will be a bloodletting. Try again with a "real" blade and let us know how it does then. Maybe should've tried a different blade on the third pass.
