Dollar Tree Sublimation Items: 9 Things to Sublimate

Did you know that you can find Dollar Tree sublimation items? Sublimation blanks need to have a polyester content in order to work but there are plenty of options that you can find as close as your local Dollar Tree. So, come shopping with me as I find 9 items that are perfect to sublimate. Then head to your local store and see if you can find some polyester blanks of your very own!

Angie, your “experimentation” episodes are always intriguing and some of my very favourites! I’m a huge Dollar Tree blank fan and I love how you save me so much trial and error! Oh and with the tea towels I had the same pressing issue with it flattening the area… I found using a nice, sticky lint roller for a few minutes “fluffed” everything back up nicely!

I did a bunch of ribbon. I made binky clips and mitten clips with them for my new great nephew! The socks. Tall socks I pit on a messed up tumbler and put through tumbler press!

Thank you so much, my microfiber car towels are so much better now, had pressing lines and I was pressing at 400 for 60 sec too long. Love baby blanket and scarfs too. Ripping the paper makes huge difference. You rock it girl.

I will have to try the ribbon for a wedding. I tried the socks but I placed the whole sock under and it stuck. Now I will try again with the heel off the press. I will try the mermaid tails for my granddaughters. Loved them all

I love all of these items!! I have done quite a few of them. I loved the mermaid tail sequin pencil holder.I made those for my nieces when school started and they loved them with their names on them. Hard to pick a favorite, but I’d have to say probably the baby blanket and dish towel, as I would most likely be making these as gifts. Absolutely excellent video. I’ve been sublimating for a few months - and learning as I go - but haven’t been much on textiles yet, so having a process (with the lint roller especially) and a baseline is fantastic! Oh my goodness that was so great! I love getting things from the Dollar tree because I'm on a budget and a tightwad. I'm going to try them and I really hope that they come out as good as yours. One of my favorite ones is the pillow and the kitchen tails because I did try that infusible ink on some of the kitchen towels before and it did not work but I'm going to try it again and I love the fact that you give us the temperatures that you use because that is extremely helpful. I love your show

I had tried the socks from the Dollar Tree before seeing this video and they came out amazingly well! I grabbed all I could at the time I was there and will do something probably for graduation or other upcoming holiday or special occasion. Wish I could post a pic of the 🧦.. Now I'm encouraged to try the other items, esp the items that are darker in color.

The items you found were amazing. I have all but given up on Dollar Tree suggestions as my local ones never seem to stock what others find. Its sad since one of their biggest DC's is half a mile away from me. We have many local stores. I will stop again and see if the blankets are a local item for me. Reading the tags is a great tip.

Angie, Thank you so very much for this video. It's difficult to have a favorite, everything turned out great. I am loving the baby blanket though. I am fairly new to Sublimation and have learned so much from you. I love to experiment on anything that is Polyester or Poly/cotton blend. When I'm shopping, I find myself checking to see what the Polyester count is. I want to Sublimate on everything...lol. Thank you again for another informative tutorial.

I sub on the fluffy side of the tail (normally a name) 385 for 45 seconds, zipper open, tail hanging off my press. Sold like hotcakes!

It is just by feel. Adjust until it feels light or medium or heavy.

This is a great video!! I’m just about to set up my sublimation printer and since it is inkjet, I’m pretty sure you can’t let it sit for weeks inbetween printing or the print heads clog so this was an awesome video to inexpensively print “something” so my printer doesn’t get messed up! Thank you!

Angie I always gleam such great crafting tips from your tutorials!! I am still crafting in "the dark ages" in that I do not have a heat press- I still use a household iron and I have Cricut Infusible Ink pens but have never used them. Could you do a tutorial like you did in this one using Infusible Ink pens and a household iron? Thanks.

The same as stated in the video. Seriously I barely pressed down with my heat press. An EasyPress should work fine.

I've seen some of your videos about converting Epson printers to sublimation. Which printer is your goto for this? Looking to start collecting the needed items for this next adventure

Loved the baby blanket! My question is, if you sublimate on a little darker colors, like the kitchen towel, baby blanket, and scarf, will those colors fade? I see they don't come up as bright had the items been white, but they still looked pretty reasonable.

You are not seeing anything that is faded. Sublimation ink is translucent so the grey of the towel is showing through the sublimation. The permanency of the sublimation method is the same on any color it just appears differently.

Hi Angie, love your channel. Thank you for sharing these items. Your colors are popping. I have the ET 4700, use hiippo sublimation ink and A sub paper. I have not done the ICC profile for better coloring ( I watched your video on that) can you do a video on printer preference presets for better coloring apart from using photoshop for ICC Profiles. I’ve been struggling with trying to get better coloring when sublimating.

Angie...It was awesome. I still haven't used my sublimation printer that I got in September because of health and intimidation of trying to learn Inkscape. I noticed that you used the heat pad with the heat press. Is this necessary?

The pad is only necessary to avoid press marks or lift things up that are odd. And you can just print with any application and see if you like the colors. Please don't think you need to use inkscape or any other program!
