Only because she's a smart BUSINESS WOMAN. I'm sure in private, she's got PLENTY of opinions about people, but if you notice, she never stops plugging her brand. She's all about making money and knows you don't make it by letting your opinions step on anyone's toes.
I don't love Dolly for that. I dislike when people attempt to be so commercial that they avoid taking stands that could really use their attention. Not taking against sexism and racism is not commendable. I like her music, but I do not love her passivity and silence.
@@mewho6199 Check her record again. Just because she's not protesting mindlessly in the streets like Hanoi Jane doesn't mean she's doing nothing. Google "Dolly Parton's charity work" for a taste of what she's done over the years and today, both locally and around the world.
@James Baldwin I don’t either, but she knows her strength is in acting & behaving as The Man will allow. She leads by actions & acceptance of others. Never punching down - she speaks up, not out.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard Dolly make a negative comment about anyone (except maybe Porter Wagoner, when he brought a lawsuit against her in the late ‘70s. LOL), and I don’t believe I’ve ever heard anyone say anything negative about her.
Taylor sorry , I spoke this in the microphone , I did not self check , gees ! Your right others should follow by Dolly's example . Even those who think they must always correct someone's spelling .. Gee wiz . Lol
Met her back in 1988 behind a concert hall she was rehearsing at. She gladly took her photo with me and couldn't have been more kind and accepting. She truly is one of a kind!
Dolly is always so upbeat and open. She never misses a chance to promote Dollywood, just as any good business person would promote their business. She wants to make money and do good in the world, and manages to successfully do both.
She's timeless but your comment made me feel old. My first childhood memories of Dolly were when she was doing the 9 to 5 TV show which should have lasted longer!
My childhood memories of Dolly is when she had her own show in the 70s and she came down onto the stage sitting on a swing singing Love is Like a Butterfly. Man, I’m old.
I was thinking the same thing. How big is this night stand? The constitution, a picture of Dolly, I'm pretty sure a pic of her dad, probably a cactus 🌵, and who knows what else. Oh...and a gun.
I am not religious but Dolly really is a gift from god. Her voice, her talent, her heart, its all magical and special. I just love her. I would die happy if she was the last concert I could see before I died.
Right?! How big is this nightstand ; entire us constitution ,signed photo of dolly ,12 year old girl's dairy ,jar of conservative tears(obviously a massive jar), I'm sure the list goes on
Dolly is such a kind souls who also doesnt take crap. I liked some of her music as a kid but i didnt become a genuine fan of her u tik adulthood when i realized how incredible she realy is. She literally came frim nothing and look at her now!
I’ve always loved Dolly. Not enough to have a pic of her on my nightstand though. 😂 Meghan was so disrespectful to the audience by saying something about the applause Sunni got. She pouts, and it’s getting to the point that I don’t even want to watch anymore.
so much love from Dolly. so humble and kind. i imagine she models herself after Christ and actually walks the walk. i can not say enough about her positive energy. when i learned about her donations to covid vaccine development (no PR no big statements) it further confirmed that she is a very special human being.
We need more Dolly’s on this earth. When I’m feeling down (which is often these days) I pray, then I read Dolly’s quotes and listen to her music. There’s something about her that makes everyone love her. There are only a handful of people who can walk in a room and own it, Dolly does that every time. The Lord bless you and keep you, Dolly. 🦋
No matter what part of show business or business or life you want to succeed at study on Dolly Parton. Are you listening to this woman? #1 First rate human being.
I know I have heard the 9 to 5 store at least 20 times, I can not imagine telling that story every time you do an interview for the last thirty-some years. I know I couldn't do it.
Dolly Parton I love you and you’re one of my favorite singers you’re my only favorite country singer I love when you go on the view because those women of the view are my favorite comedians and I love other comedians also and I hope you get to go on the view again and you look so gorgeous in this video
G*d Bless you Dolly. Every time I see you interviewed I wish I could slow time down to preserve your genuine, sweet and unselfish country bumpkin identity for eternity.
