Back in about 2003 they used to let people ride in a small two person seat on the coal tender. I was able to ride with my 7 year old son who was a train fanatic at the time. That’s a memory he has never forgotten so whoever the engineer was back in 2002 to 2003 thank you for the ride.
Nice video mr Smiley. I hope to be one of the engineers at Dollywood when I get older. I’m 13 right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to work at Dollywood when I get older.
You and Casey seem to have been running Cindy during more of my recent visits. My most recent was Saturday and I looked up in the cab and I immediately knew it was y'all. Hope to join you guys in the cab someday.
Neat. Too bad the audio and video are so out of sync. What's the purpose of the horn? Any specific reason why the engineer kept looking at things off to the side? Why is the guy sitting in the tender not doing anything? Back in the day, did they wear any kind of hearing protection or did they just lose their hearing?
Jack White it’s a whistle not a horn look at things off to the side can be for different reasons look for wheel slippage and the therm person I know and sometimes they just ya e three people in the cab and back in the day no they didn’t have any hearing protection and the whistle is for warning people or animals ahead same for the bell
