The thought process of no competent backup makes sense for a season ending injury, because you won't win a SB with a backup starting 14 games. But, to not have one to ensure you survive 4-5 games missed through injury is malpractice. Going 1-3/2-3 means you stay alive, Miami could be 0-4 without Tua, and even if he could come back, the season will already be over
@douglassmith1215

You mean how the Eagles couldn’t win the SB when Carson Wentz went down? Or the 49ers couldn’t win when Trey Lance went down (followed by Jimmie G)?

To me, it's shocking they weren't on the phone with Tannehill right away. He's the best available, and it probably wasn't possible to pry away Flacco or Winston or other sought-after backups. Or how about AJ McCarron?! The MVP of the UFL, a guy who's won NFL games? I mean it's okay to trust Skylar at 2, but Tim Boyle hasn't done jack diddly to prove he belongs on the 3rd string, and he's had plenty of opportunities to do so.

Mr. Ross ( I am so sick of saying it already and hundreds of thousands of Fin Fans). get ready of that awful gm called: Chris Grier. He is AND HAS BEEN the main problem for this franchise. Hiring aged and injury prone players. This fool Grier HAS TO GO. Enough of the BS...
@romain8390
@romain8390 День назад
He is the reason, he’s the guy who drafted to Tua Tagovailoa over Justin Herbert and forced the franchise to go all in on him, and this is what you get. he hasn’t constructed the roster with depth and talent outside of receiver and running back. They are finesse team that can’t win tough games. Be good for 8 to 10 wins, but you’ll never be in the Super Bowl, and if the quarterback goes down, the franchise is going to melt.

What's shocking to me that no one's talking about is why wasn't Tua wearing a Guardian cap during games considering his concussion history and guaranteed $ . If this continues to be a trend i see Guardian caps being mandatory in the league.

Tua hadn't had his concussion issues when Flores was coaching him. But he was a young player new to the league. And Miami was trying to lure Tom Brady to the Dolphins. Flores was trying to run Tua off. Straight bullying going on. Nothing noble about Flores. He was still being an jerk, and undercutting his own QB. So don't get it twisted. Even Flores regretted his conduct concerning Tua.

You mean they didnt want to put a capable QB behind Tua cause not only would it reveal what a fraud Tua is but it would also damage his fragile ego? Like I've said time and time again, Grier has done everything he can to not only justify his decision to double down on taking Tua after his hip injury but then proceeded to quadruple down on Tua at the expense of the entire organization long term future.

@@adamlynch6954 Yeah, yeah they do LOL. Heck even John Middlecock over at 3 and Out was talking about how teams like the Eagles, the Dolphins, the Jags are probably regretting giving the big money contracts to their QBs right now when you compare those sh*t QBs to the Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Herbert in the AFC. And folks will argue that both Burrow and Herbert are "injury prone" like Tua and should be treated as the same - unlike Tua, those two have shown to be able to go toe to toe with both Mahomes and Allen while Tua has not. Tua also lacks the ability to even stay healthy. Those are facts. The NFL sees it, you do not.

Ok guys, I think people are over hyping this narrative. So Skylar Thompson was the backup to Tua in 22' when Tua first had the concussions and almost beat the Bills in the playoffs that year. He's obviously capable as a backup. What's clear now is how hard it is to run this offense as well as Tua. That's what everyone under played, including the Dolphins management.

Dolphins were INSANE to bet their future on such a brittle and injury prone QB!!!!!!!!!! AND, NFL should force him to retire as it is NOT just about Tagovailoa. If he gets injured by going back to playing and dies, the Enemies of the NFL will demand it get shut down!!!!!!!! That impacts MORE than Tagovailoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dolphins should try to get Russel Wilson.
