Great video. My pedal broke in the exact same place as yours. I just got the replacement post part today to try to reattach it and realized that's not actually going to fix it. Here's my fix for now - keep the flush pedal off and screw on just the replacement post where the flush pedal would be. I can easily manually open and close the flush ball with the post. A flathead screwdriver used as a lever operates the water valve. It's 2 steps and not perfect, but it works fine until I either get a new toilet or fix the flush pedal. I'm going to try filling in the broken part of the pedal with either resin or a strong epoxy.
I love that you are sharing your knowledge. I love kids. But trampoline + toliet: just NO. So many reasons. I was less nauseated with my head over the open black tank than watching your toliet shake around and thinking whats on the trampoline now.
