Strell i like cbr 250r. But torque is low. Can I modify bike to get more torque. Wt modifications should I do for cbr to get more torque. I don't want to change exhaust. I like stock sound.
Strell duke 390 full review. Need to know abt vibration compare with dominor 400. Heating test how much degree is comfortable and wt degree duke 390 is heating. Abt built quality is it gud to have a duke 390. And now I'm riding apache rtr 180 2012 old model. Duke 390 vibrations is lesser than apache rtr 180. I like to buy vibration free and comfortable bike to ride.
@@sanjayls1955 😂😂😂👌👌i had the same issue mahn. wondering whether to get the dominar or the duke 390 and i too own an apache but a 160 and need a vibe free bike with a good top end also
Great going. Perhaps the first reviewer to mention the term 'resonance' that I have come across. I thought all the physics I studied was useless until now 😄
No insult to anyone but i chose cbr 250r over dominar and dukes even in 2019, your reviews helped me a lot in finding the right direction. Believe me i am in love with my cbr :)
Let me tell you this story. I was in my first year of college, 2011, cbr 250 was launched back in that time. I loved that bike mostly due to it's reliability, we know Honda very well. One day going to college I saw one red cbr , a normal guy with long hair , no helmet ( nva mind, local area). He waited for the traffic light to go green and boom he goes , his hair in the wind and the sweet sound of cbr and it's presence made the whole seen so dramatic, no wonders you can make girls wet 🤣 with that bike while keeping the maintenance so low. That bike is like a true wingman. Since then I had a huge crush on cbr. The thing i wanna say is it has been a really long time Honda hasn't given it a proper upgrade but still whenever an enthusiast will buy in that segment, he will have cbr on the list for sure, he will have a look for sure. No doubts it is the most respected bike in our Indian market. Just one thing that disappoints me is the price , they hiked the price too much for literally the same thing sold years back. Once a cbr fan always a fan.
CBR250R is the king in 2 lakh segment! Previously I had Hero Karizma ZMR for 3 years & I bought Honda CBR 250R in Feb,2017 after test riding 5 bikes, i.e., RE Classic 350, RE Thunderbird 350, UM Bikes Renegade, R15 & Pulsar 220! Honda has the smoothest engine ever!! I❤️CBR!
I love both these machines....but I am really crossed with Honda for not updating the CBR. I mean it's a great bike with great reliability. But CBR 250 has done enough for the company and its time they give this machine some rest and bring in a new successor. Or atleast give this a proper update and not just new stickers. Because this bike really deserves it.
I loved it ur video......n thnx bro cz m aso a HONDA CBR250R owner n m having 2012 model n yet nw i got 0% vibrations evn at 11000rpm at speed of 155kmph.....CBR250R is way far better thn dominar

People always had a question why CBR didn't get any up-gradation, Its becoz, it was way advance 10 years back. Just that Indians were not aware !! Imagine 10 years back..DOHC setup, Liquid Cool, 6 speed transmission and one of a kind Combined ABS( nobody has till date in this segment at-least). USD forks are not provided to keep it easy reachable to mass till date but still it has thick forks according to the wheel base.. Its a LEGEND and it will be !!
Proudly owner of a Cbr250r 2013 model , done my leh Ladakh tour and spiti valley tour on it without any Breakdawn and still going well thanks Honda for making such a reliable and beautiful machine
CBR is a legend we all know. Dominor is an excellent bike debut making VFM with all new tech. CBR is a well refined & reliable sports tourer. While dominor is a well built commute+tourer.
This is tough one Strell, but i have to pick CBR 250R because of its superb comfort. Also i remember you saying, "cbr250r engine spares you, even if you miss its Service, but other bikes (especially Bajaj) does not spare you if didn't serviced on time" which is crucial. This is why i love CBR 250R. It gives same performance even after 5 years!
Nikk Sir how is your experience on your cbr? I wish to purchase one cbr for me. What is the milgae and maintenance cost..? Is it same as Mr Stell said or any other figures..?
@@sarojagrawal6729 ktm engine detuned by Bajaj, no near performance of KTM Duke 390 or RC 390, for service you have to go to Bajaj service center with Bajaj mechanics.
Nice and honest comparison up there- however I would tend to disagree on the mileage part. I have a 6 year old CBR having clocked 1.77 lac kms and I consistently get 35-38 kpl in the worst of traffic (my commute happens on one of the most congested highway in the country - the Western Express Highway where at times it takes you 2.5 hrs to cover 20 kms). And people claiming 40 on highway riding aren't wrong either- its not that you have to be conservative while riding it- it would give you 40+ even while cruising around 100-110 kph, the speeds which I don't consider to be sedate at all. I think I have to thrash my CBR really bad to get something around 26 kpl ;) In fact if I have to cross quote from another riding experience- I had ridden the CBR650F on a 1000 kms one day trip and it returned me 22 kpl- this might show how badly one needs to ride a little single pod 250cc motorcycle to get measly figures. BTW here was my long term review on my CBR some time back: www.motoroids.com/features/honda-cbr250r-125000-km-long-term-ownership-review-an-epic-saga/
@@cyrilabraham6144 Well not until 1.75L kms where the engine seized coz I hadn't checked the oil level for months and that is how long my stock clutch plates lasted too ;)
I think you should mention price difference as well... But appreciating all your efforts and detailing... Was waiting for it for a long time and it came at the right time. At the time of hatrick offer running for Baja Bikes..👍👍
I want to ask you one question, If you would buy a bike at the present time which bike will you pick Bajaj Dominar 400 2019 or Honda CBR 250R 2018?? Waiting for your reply.
( CBR 250, 310RR, Dominar 400 )So final verdict is that you can own any one amongst the three motorcycle without any regret, considering all aspects from budget, comfort, refinement etc.
Im from srilanka and Im having cbr 250r ,bought in 2017 but just done only 17k km as of now. It gives pretty smooth and very comfortable when riding, my top speed 100kmph I didn't try more then 100kmph I don't feel any kinda vibration in that speed.
Ideally, with slipper clutch the service interval should have been higher(DUKE390) but surprisingly less than CBR250R. If you really check the complete service interval of Dominar, you will be visiting the ASC more often until 10k kms than CBR250R. So initial low investment equals to CBR250R by the time Dominar has been run-in completely.
Those cbr power figures are lie. Cbr pulls very good after you cross 4k rpm also tall gearing top end of cbr is identical to duke 390 around 165km/hr. That also with excellent stability
Thanks Strell. I recently started watching Ur videos. Really useful. Covering allmost each and every part of it. I think now you have CBR650r. Congratulations 👍. Undoubtedly Honda's. Famous for their engine refinement and build quality. Good choice. Even though I am a Ninja fan I started liking cb250r. Planning to own one.
375 cc vs 250 cc . Forget power and torque figures, bigger engine will always have higher power and torque , but it doesn't matter. CBR 250 R is such a legend machine ever built in 250 cc category in the world. U can run this motorcycle upto ages, that's the level of engineering in CBR. It's a world class , highly reliable, super tough product from HONDA.
the most sad part of owning cbr250r for me is the maintenance cost. I used to visit the Honda service center as I couldn't find any local mechanic who could help with any repairs and service. Honda charged me 7k on avg for times i have visited them. Also the lockset design has a manufacturing fault (old cbr had a longer key compared to new but lockset design remains the same). Due to this, i was unable to turn the bike on after inserting the key. Honda wanted me to pay 13k for a new lockset. And there were numerous such occasions with other parts.
If a person rides average speed of 120 km/hr on 5thgear all day long on highway which bike will u choose between dominar and cbr250 (2018 edition)? vibration is the main concern here!!!
Strell Thank you for very detailed comparison between CBR250 and Dominar 400 I agree that both are different from each others however are best touring machines.. now it dippend person on person which bike they like.. but I am sure this review will make all of us understand and things more clearer which bike we should go for.. Thanks again for the honest and complete review.. Keep Riding..👍👍😃
Hi, I want to buy a cbr250r now but it's not available, if you have any connection with Honda, can you provide detail of any available old stocks..?? Besides, the colour u have is not available now, it's the best.
hello sir i had a question my friend own's CBR250 ABS 2011 model but now he is facing an issue of REAR TYRE lock & bike skate's from rear tyre towards left or right whenever he applies the brake but the FRONT ABS is working properly ANY SOLUTIONS for this problem????
Yes I changed. It costed 6.5K. The alteration is bit complex. Here is the video regarding the details. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YIQGhkCyQSI.html
To be honest, on a one on comparison, Dominar is not showing much superior quality during upshifts. Aggressive Downshifts are better because of slipper clutch. But not as good as we see on a tvs motorcycle. And both comes with dual channel ABS. More over I liked this comparison to be free of spec.
Without a single doubt in my mind I can say that Honda CBR 250 R is the most respected motorcycle among all in Indian Market. There are Dukes , Royal Enfields ,and also others , but none beats the reliability, touring ability and rock solid build of CBR.
S G KTMs and KTM derived bajajs are very reliable. Dominar is any day better than CBR for touring. The price of CBR is now 2.25L compared to 1.50 of dominar. Keeping aside all the extra features and performance, the long term costs (parts, service) are far far lower for KTM & bajaj compared to Honda. The service interval is also 7500-8000kms/1year, which cost around 3-4k. (I think the brake pads alone for CBR cost 2200(front)+ 1100(rear))
i don't care about money, speed but my only tick boxes which needs to be ticked are the quality, reliability, safety, technology and only Honda CBR250r ticks all of them. so its no brainer speed does not matter but all the ticks must. will be buying my cbr250r though short of m will gor standard.why 250CBR is not available at any of the dealers in DELHI(in east delhi dealers, south, north east delhi) and many saying not taking bookings. Honda india should see the customers requests are taken seriously. finally i saw many strell videos and are really quite good, informative.
Well done dude but u should compare to same cc segment bike. so if you can do compareation video between cbr250r 2018 and ktm duke 250 thoes two bike because I'm getting confused to get one of those bike let me help to pick one of those mechanics ThankQ
Hey Strell, been watching your videos for long time and need some advice thinking of buying cbr250r 2018 model but saw in some videos that parts are rarely available. is it the case? please shre you views. or should i go for dominar?
It is a nice review but not a complete review. I have a few queries. Here they are: (a) Have you or any rider in your circle faced the problem of rim-bending due to pothole menace? Some KTM Duke 390 owners have reported such an issue with their machine. (b) How do the electronics and electricals function after both the bikes are thoroughly drenched in rough rain? (c) If CBR 250R is exclusively used for touring, how many kilometer do the rear tyre take to wear? (d) How good is the comfort of pillion seat keeping in view of the slope, foam hardness, use of anti-skid fabric, seat width & length in question? Also how a lady rider feels about the seat as far as long distance touring is concerned? Thanks.
I could answer your question from CBR's perspective since I own one. A) Yes there are people who has faced rim bends. But not like what happened for KTM. This is mainly when you run over pot holes at high speed. And the bends are not really visible by eyes. One will get to know when the air leaks. B) no issues with electrical switches on CBR. I have taken it all possible scenarios. Even a salt water sea side ride. C) stock tyres will stay for 30k to 40k D) CBR has a well cushioned pillion seat. The pillion will be comfortable for more than 600kms a day. It's fairly anti slide and wide enough to give comfort.
Thanks for your quick and precise response. I have owned Apache RTR 180 version 1.0. It had showed problem of rim leak in rear tyre. The problem was so acute that I was compelled to install a tube within it.
Excellent review. But i dont really know why it costs so.much for cbr even for abs the price hike is too much. The only thing i personally love to see in doninar is proper stock wind shield with fairing like cbr. That makes the deal. What do you say..
Sir muje 90%mainly long touring, 10% city ride k liye bike chaiye, Mera height 5'5 hai, Maine dominar and cbr250abs choose Kiya hai, ismese konsa bike acha hoga mere liye? Please suggest me. Aur apka knowledge pe koi aur bike hai to, please suggest me.
