In this rant, I'm addressing the problems I've had with the 2k community in the past few weeks. I packed a lot into this rant, so make sure to listen all the way through!
I'm a big fan of NBA 2K and I've been playing the game for years. But lately, I've been really disappointed with the community on 2K24. I'm not the only one, either. There's been a lot of talk about how toxic and unpleasant the 2k community has become.
In this rant, I'm sharing my thoughts on the 2k community and why it's been such a problem for me in the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy it and that it helps you

Bro this is just simple basketball 😂😂 I try to tell the Randoms I play with this. Patience & IQ go a long way in this game, if guys just slowed down & actually allowed their brains to catch up this would be a great community 😂😅

See cuz naw some people just play different and that’s okay. At the end of the day the iso heavy 5 out is more video game then real. I like this but it’s just boring to me. I rather run pick and roll and call out cutters/rotations like corner cut hash to corner big man just hold the screen read it break it down if it ain’t there I’ll look for a shot big man will slide to the side or the block and I’ll either shoot standstill/fade hash front fade/side fade middy, or, pass to my big man cuz his man has to step up on the middy.

@@UhhAhzul i get what you’re saying. i think the point of this video was to showcase that a lot of people who play 2k don’t have basketball IQ. they might have 2k basketball IQ, but when you play the game like this, all the strategies and cheese get nullified in a way; not saying that cuts, finding mismatches and all that don’t work

Yeah being able to pass the ball to the open man seems like rocket science to about 80% of randoms in the rec, anyone can get a bucket but can you pass, defend, or just play your role to win. Good ball movement and spacing doesn’t happen often playing solo rec

it's always nice to see someone who actually ENJOYS the game of basketball and 2k have fun with their content, everyone has either boiled the game down to cheese or strictly a content creation medium despite them hating the game and the difference shows

I like the game of basketball. And playing 2k I would think would simulate it. But this game doesn’t fully promote that.

Aye Chris. I been saying that since 2k21 came out. Everything went brain dead. Defense became all blitz and bump steals. They games are consistently worse because they cater to those players. I been saying that there should be 2 versions of the game. Those who pass the IQ evaluation part of the tutorial of basketball knowledge and tendencies, and those who don't.

imo passing in rec is a must need but it is sure as fuck easier if u can score cuz yk gravitas opens so much for ur teamates. If i get take n shoot from half then next play tell my center to come set me a screen the pf or center MUST step up bc they j saw i shot a deep ass shot which cld lead to me dotting my center easy dunk or make a play n dot the rotation easy money. J how i see it but i totally respect yo game🤞🖤
