I never ever used YT builds maybe that’s cause I have a similar mindset to you where I’m not gonna have everything on my build but rather I’m gonna try & excel at a certain role. I’m best used as a Power Forward spot up who has defense suitable to guard 1-5 & actually know how to pass the ball as a big. Simple play style that has a certain role to get the win.
Ima be here for what ever you post bro, I subbed for you not the game. Suggestion though, Could maybe play some other sports games.. Madden,NHL,MLB maybe, do some career stuff if thats your thing. But if theres something you wanna play just go for it man! Bless up

And I’m definitely in da middle i play rec 1s park and pro am im better den most ppl ive had a 70% all year in park and like 80% in rec and i shot 74% + and avg 25 in rec on both my rec builds and i see the gap consistently in rec randoms and ante up
I definitely cater to one side , I will making any build that can’t shoot a jumper is toxic . , but spamming and playing basketball is where I draw the line
Microtransactions Ruined the game for me. After they Nerfed Microtransastions in 2k17, it took too long to upgrade a player for me. I was patched. Cost too much time / money for me.
If you're not toxic, play defense and don't force dumb plays, there's a good chance your team wins, be a decent role player is enough to get a good rep

My lebron build got purple on day one playing pure random req. But you speaking some facts fa sho, my lebron a success because its me playing wit em, nah i get on my homies ass, and yup i been on 2k since the very first one. Im a star, always have been but its because i dont play positions that aint mine, im a C, im a PF, im a Sg, im a sf, i am not a pg by any means, its just not my style i dont even wanna get great at being a pg😅 really, im lebron, always have been, the way he play the way I always played, hence why MY lebron build perfect for me
Exactly, handles not my thing this year, defense and diming always was, post scoring aint my thing, bussin 3s, is my thing. Hence why I created a lebron build and got him on the first shades, Without copying some bs on yt. And hence why most my builds are Cs and lockdowns who can shoot and pass.
the problem is the black to purple bs, and showing peoples stats before games. It creates way too much separation, meanwhile you got purples out there sellin games because they wanna play hero ball. Every build I create is for teamwork ofc, but I got a 90+ win %

2K is a sim game first and foremost (or at least used to be) anybody who says it should be more or supports the leaning into arcade style should go play games like NBA jam and build a franchise out of that since arcade basketball is so damn great and fun right ?
And when they fully convert it’s already bad now 2k devs literally pointed out there needs to be a balance between both sim and arcade style because of the clunky and canned animation with the more realistic gameplay the gameplay will be more stiff and have less control over your player
I have a bit of a hot take. But I feel that a big reason that doesn't get talked about a lot for the way the 2k community is now is due to the micro transactions. With how hard it is to go NMS and how expensive vc has become, ppl don't have the time or money to be experimenting with the builder or the mechanics of the game. Because they may only be able to make 1 or 2 builds, they'll probably look to content creators for guidance on a good build to make. But unfortunately some creators care more about views than actually being helpful so they'll only show builds that lend themselves to clips that are more accessible to the average viewer. Who likely isn't actually knowledgeable about the sport.

He plays how he plays and it works regardless if u respect it or not u don’t have to he paid 100 plus dollars to play how he wants to and so did you so just stop bitching and play.
Every game, Murray behind the back behind a screen, cherry picking, spammer hides in the corner on defense while the lock right stick ripper all game. Once that’s not working quit or foul out. Go to Pro Am, five out with all shooters. Lock at the 3. PG with no defense or strength hiding in the corner. All this variety in the game, but none used. I rather be an efficient scorer and willing defender than a volume shooter that plays one side of the ball.
Guess what bro 2k allows you to do that. You’re legit mad that people play how they wanna play. Go make a pro-am teams and build it around the way u play it’s that simple no one is stopping u. Look at the RU-vidr laker fan he is a Center who is ball dominant inside post scorer it’s possible

That’s what I prefer, that’s what looks better, and that’s what I believe is more skillful. Those are also all my opinions before you disagree. My comment is on the fact that 2k has a ton of variety that the majority of its community doesn’t use. Everyone plays like “comp” players and when their one move is box they quit. I have 4 guys all goats in the rec winning 70%. I play proam with another group on a diamond status team that wins about 50% of the time, 60% during a good season. I have nothing to be mad at. Just boring playing the same team and same play style game after game cuz no one has their own identity and we mask it as “playing how they want to play” when in reality they playing the meta or using the exploits of the game.

Arcade players DO NOT know how to play a role and if the ball isn’t in their hands or their steal isn’t maxed so they can spam they actually become cones on defense and they don’t make their teammates better on offense either
Too real I’m a win first player everytime always flirting with a triple double on avg will probably drop 15-5-5 and a block but because I’ll go 2/4 from three instead of 8/10 off a John wall step back every possession I so called have no bag and I’m ass
@@EliteRolePlayer I can see it from both sides because I also play both sides I play a lot of my league and a lot of kids my age don’t even know what that is when they get 2k but I’m also really good at the cheese stuff because I’ve been playing 2k since 2k12 a lot of kids my age haven’t been playing that long so they’ve only seen one side of 2k realistically it don’t matter what side your on that makes u good it’s how much you win that makes you good so When u can do all the cheese stuff AND do all the old head stuff that’s when you actually get good at 2k because your right 2k will never choose a side they’ll just make the game in the middle so everyone buys it

Just because you in a 2-3 zone do not make you trash but I understand what you saying but I feel like your problem is you do not have 5 cuz sometimes you got to go zone because the match up “ if the big could shoot and the pg only could drive what you going to do ?
This video was well said and well put together. 2k needs to stop selling us this dream of it being a sim style game. Every year we fall for it and every year its the same arcade fake bs. I stopped playing 24 3 months ago and deadass dont see myself playing any more after unless its a change. But it wont be cus mike wang is in charge and 2k is a money hungry company that only wants people money.
Imma tell you like they tell me . Get good at the game and stop being a grown man crying about a video game . If you want simulation basketball go outside and play 😂😂😂😂. I would love to see what some of those these RU-vid comment people could do in actual basketball because I’ve seen 2k league players and understand why they play 2k the way they do .
