I only heard of him ‘cause of Halsey. But something about the album has me listening to it over and over. I thought it was odd there were short songs, but altogether the album from start to finish is great.
I was waiting for the album for 2years now, listened to it, enjoyed it. and got frustrated from fantano's fans giving it all sorts of unecessary hate... I think it's pretty solid
I feel like this album was more of a bridge for dom to actually discover his direction and sound. It leavs you wanting more. Gives you a taste of what's to come.
Dom is a very diverse artist. There was a moment in the past when he purely rapped. Now the only song you can find from his past is jada pinkett. He can honestly take his sound in any direction and it’s amazing.
It’s not perfect but it’s one of my favorite albums I’ve heard in a LONG LONG time. Full of ideas and concepts, but doesn’t overstay its welcome. So so beautiful. So glad you reacted to this. Denton= 🐐
A sound that i think is similar to dom's music is the neighbourhood's recent album: hard to imagine the neighbourhoud ever changing. They collabed with rappers on some songs like denzel curry and nipsey
Don’t forget about me demos is fantastic and I highly recommend it I don’t think there’s a single bad song on there. Make sure to listen to the album version that has 7 songs not the 5 song ep if you do! Great video keep it ip
the weeknd and lana del rey are my top 2 and i've been watching all your reaction/review videos for the longest time now and i never expected a dominic fike one, this is such a cool crossover. me and dominic are from the same town in florida, he was a grade below me and everyone here is so proud seeing him blow up and become successful like this, his ability as an artist is so versatile.
You think you could get a ghetto Lenny love songs reaction out sometime soon bro. I’ve asked a few times but I know it’s something you’ll love. Keep doin you JD prophet
The beginning of "vampire" very much resembles TLC's no scrubs, that's why that backstreet boys era is what you're hearing. Additionally, the hook of the song has VERY similar cadence to Jennifer Lopez "if you had my love"
Had this on repeat and I’m generally a hip hop/RnB fan. Love it also had his Dont Forget About Me, Demos on spin shortly after that released also. Highly recommend you listen to that.
This album was rushed after making his deal he only had half a year to get it out. I'm looking forward to his new album releasing in July and hope you react to it.
i see a lot of people criticizing artists for not including their band name in the cover art, which at face value does seem reasonable... but i do think it's a common artistic choice nowadays, it makes the album feel like it's own entity, instead of just "the new album by band name" also, loved the review! and the album!
So glad Doms getting mainstream attention. He can literally do it all, Rap, Sing, Produce, Plays Instruments. Go check out Syndrome, Back in the City, And everything you can find to be honest 😂🙏🏻. Hard to find his best songs, If you know Dom you know that. 🛸
