Dominical Costa Rica serves as the entrance to the Southern Puntarenas region of Costa Rica. This area was relatively underdeveloped until 2010, as there was no highway access, causing it to lag behind the more popular northern beach communities. However, the town has gained recognition as a surf destination, with its incredible waves and pristine Playa Dominical beach, attracting surf tourists, expats, and digital nomads who prefer a laid-back, eco-friendly lifestyle.

Super video! I have been meaning to go to Dominical but haven't yet. On a different note, it'd be great to see you together exploring all these amazing places that surround us.

We do love exploring, but us doing it would be rather boring I think - jeje. Some amazing videographers work in the country and we can't get enough of them!

Another great video guys! I myself would not choose to live in Dominical because of the heat, but more practically speaking the lack of nearby airport is definitely an issue. I thought I heard once that they were planning on building some sort of airport around there. Perhaps Covid affected that? Could be some other objections though having to do with environmental stuff though...not sure.

We are planning our second trip to Costa Rica to visit the southern area. We stayed in Tamarindo in January and really did a ton of driving to get a feel for the area. We live in a temperate rain forest on the water in Vancouver BC and the plan is to spend 6 months in Vancouver 6 months in Costa Rica. We found Tamarindo more touristy and more of a dry terrain. We are looking at the southern part to visit to see if we like the more lush environment. We will be coming in November. We are planning on 2 more trips to see if Costa Rica is a good fit for us. Any recommendations for a really nice place to stay. Last time we spent a few nights in Sendaros and then another week outside of town. I am really glad I found your RU-vid channel Hanks Jodi
