Incredibly moving seeing Dom get emotional like that, for years I’ve known him to be completely stoic and unrelenting. What a beautiful moment. Always gonna be my bantamweight GOAT.
@@Lemon-rk9hq i agree, its a shame that chito had that KO over him and called Dom’s style bad for MMA, when we know now that DOM is the championship caliber guy Chito could never be unfortunately
This is an excellent channel. Moreover, this was an extraordinary podcast with Dominick. He has profound depth as a person. His Championship(s) make much more sense now. 50:25... His story around Vegas is extremely moving.
Such a great/beautiful interview. I've never heard Dom at a deep personal level like this interview, not with Rogan, not with helwani. This was IT. My favorite fighter!
Dominick is an amazing fighter and has such a unique style. Love his commentary and fight interviews, but hearing him tell his history in depth is awesome. He's so grounded and I feel like he's never forgotten where he came from which is so important to remember if you're going to be a good person in life. Great channel Ed.
Tucson built San Diego made. He went to the same elementary school and jr high as me. Been a fan since 2010 WEC days. I watched him TKO Brian bowls for the title after he murdered Miguel Torres who was a killer back then. DOM is goated. Shout out from Tucson bro
I always thought Dominick was an uppity dick. What an amazing interview and story of triumph over amazing setbacks. A true legend in the sport. And Dominick, you now have nothing but the utmost respect from me for the amazing man and inspiration that you are. Thanks for many years of watching you perform and all that you've given to the sport and its fans. Best wishes in all that you do. You are also a kick-ass commentator.
Dom will be always be one of my favorites and one of the best ever in my mind and intelligent and sharp as a man can be... BUT what is this "cult" choice center thing? I hope you pay him well and it seems like he is your Tom cruise:D he has the gift really
I'm a fan of Cruz, so I don't say this with malice, but I'm pretty sure he's in the closet. I think this for a few reasons. Jason Ellis is bi and on a couple occasions, the topic of gay UFC fighters came up. He said he knows for a fact that there are gay UFC fighters because he's friends with one of them. Jason never said a name, but curiously, Dominick Cruz is the main UFC fighter Jason has spent a lot of time with. Jason would train with Cruz and posted multiple pictures and videos of them together on Instagram. Also, think about it. Have you ever seen Dom with a girlfriend? Ever post about a girl on socials? Ever talk about a girlfriend? Never. Just him and his feminine little Poodle looking dog, Dojo that he brings everywhere. He's also a bit metro with a lot of things. Anyway, if he is, I think he should be open about it. I wouldn't view him differently, and I think he could empower some people.
MMA is such a macho sport filled with toxic fans so I kinda understand why he wouldn’t come out if that’s true. Funny how nobody cares that half the women in the ufc are gay but men have to be closeted. (Pretty sure Izzy is at least bi as well)… Anyways Dominick’s one of my favorite fighters, so mans got my support !!
@@Canadian528 Yeah, there's definitely a bit of a double standard with gay women vs gay men. Not just in the sports world but in life. If girls who are friends see each other and hug, nobody thinks twice. But if guys who aren't family greet with a hug, they'd probably get judged. Or how girls always ask another girl to go to the bathroom with them. If a guy asked a guy, that would be viewed as odd. But yeah, I don't personally care who Dom likes. Let him live his life. I'm a fan of him either way.
