had his knees not been held together by tape when he fought Cody Garbrandt he would have likely destroyed him too. He is the Best in his weight class so far to do it. His gumby leg peekaboo style was incredible to watch.....Legend.
@@zookjitsu he’s also slowed down a ton. Look at him in the first few fights compared to now he’s way slower. But yeah some guys have great game plans for him now. But he’d still be a top guy if he hadn’t lost as much of a step cause he evolved a bit as well
3:09 Surprised no one has mentioned this, but that was brutal, I counted 23 unanswered punches ? Did that guy fighting cruz get caught with the refs wife? Because bro let him get cte by the looks of that late stoppage man that was wild. Who was the ref? Am I the crazy one, or what do I usually don't get bothered because I know it's the name of the game, but man..
I just met Dominick tonight in Tucson absolutely an awesome guy. Gives you the real him whenever he presents publicly (in or out the cage) genuine guy that’s gives all of himself.
Dominick was just so ahead of the game in terms of technical skill, exposed tons of fighters bad IQ's and capitalized hard. Shame his knees held him back but still an amazing career nonetheless.
In no way shape or form is he better than Jones, GSP, Silva, Mighty Mouse, DC, Cjuedo, Aldo, Adesyna, Khabib, and Stipe. There’s 10 for you right there. I will argue anyone one of those over Cruz to the grave .
@@benpietrzykowski9216Mighty Mouse got dominated by Cruz and had a bunch of title defenses at a garbage divisions. Quick name 5 fighters DJ beat without looking it up.
Bantamweight GOAT. I'm 100% confident there's more highlights to be added yet. He still looked ridiculously impressive in that Chito Vera fight, Chito's power and durability just make him so dangerous til the final bell.
Bantamweight GOAT and future hall of famer for sure I think he's gonna get his Hall of fame induction before he retires for the incredible achievements and exciting fights , seriously those who call this man boring should never see an MMA fight lol, he's got one of the most unique styles in MMA, even some Combat Sports analysts who don't follow MMA know about his crazy footwork.
I tried to genuinely comprehend this whole statement before seeing your DBZ profile and appropriately shaking my head. Learn some punctuation bro, Cruz would be disappointed. One of the longest "sentences" I've seen
@@JrdnGrn K thanks for the advice, edited (two commas added). I never thought out of all the things that could irritate Cruz is punctuation in a RU-vid comment.
Easily still the bantamweight GOAT and a top 10 GOAT. People cannot forget those WEC wins, and I personally include them in since it was, the majority of the time, opponents who were soon after UFC calibre anyway (e.g. Benavidez). Add in that he came back 3 years off of injury and DOMINATED Mizugaki (#5 at the time) in barely a round and then came back 2 years after, post more injuries, and beat prime Dillasnake (not one armed, over the hill, burnt out Pillashaw like Aljo dominated) for a 2nd reign as well as cleanly shutting out Faber, and Cruz is far and away still the GOAT. Aljo would need about another 3 defences to be in GOAT contention, given the sucky situation with the DQ, the controversial split decision and 'I just wanted to be a role model' selfishly turning up with one arm.
It's so unfair that the ufc doesn't include WEC stats as part of fighters careers. WEC was where the 135 and 145 divisions ruled, UFC just absorbed them after buying WEC. As such, Cruz actually has by far the most title fight wins, at 7(4 in ufc, 3 in WEC) with 5 total defenses(3 in ufc, 2 in wec). Besides that, he still has the most ufc 135 wins as well. That's not even mentioning the injuries and layoffs. He's quite obviously the GOAT of 135. Even if Aljo had several more title defenses, he's never looked as unstoppable as Cruz did.
@@redrain860 Right? Same with Aldo, I always just say 9 defences rather than the 7 UFC ones. WEC was a sister company to begin with and featured a tonne of the same fighters.
I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
I was aware of the wec fighters and champions but when dom vs faber fought in the ufc for the first time I couldn’t believe what I was seeing one of the best ppv ever
He was so fun to watch that herky jerky style, I don’t understand it. I’d likely Bob my head the wrong way and just eat a punch or knee ten times harder than it should be.
If you wanna be a dominant Bantamweight Champion, be bigger than most in your weight class. Dominick Cruz, Aljamain Sterling, Sean O'Malley - tall or heavy mfs
How did he make money by saying "IT IS ALL OVER!!!!". is it only me or does anyone else think that's annoying? Thank God he doesn't call fights anymore.
