DOMINION'S ALTERNATE ENDING? - How Jurassic World Dominion Should Have Ended! 

Personally, I feel like the battle should have just been Rexy fighting the Giga alone, without any team ups, though I feel like this ending could've worked as well. Seeing the Rexes working together to defeat the Giga could've been cool and it would've made more sense than the Theri teaming up with with Rexy.

It's an interesting idea, that much is true. The idea of Rexy getting back-up not from a random blind Theno, or a Rex-killer Spino, but members of her own species. Leaving the Giga confused, because not only did it have to contend with one Rex, but now three... with two of them being a bit fresher for the fight. Plus, it would add a bit more to the ending as well, with the Buck and Doe coming to check up on Rexy after recovering from the brawl, and they possibly forming their own pack as the new dominate predators of the location.

The important feature missing in the final battle is ultimately Alan Grant's daring rescue of the T-rex, as she once rescued him, bringing their story full circle. She was right on top of him in the first movie and would have recognised his perfume. He should have been the tipping factor for the T-rex even if it killed him.

I think Rexy should've fought the Giganotosaurus on her own, and shoved it in front of the Dreadnoughtus that was in the courtyard. The Dreadno, not giving two sh*ts about the Giga, rears up, and crushes it like a bug. Sauropods in the JP/JW are only used for emotional scenes (often with them being killed), so it would be a nice change to see one kill something. Plus, it's more creative than the Giga being its neck snapped, or getting impaled. We've already seen that (T.rex in JP3 got its neck snapped, a LW raptor and the Indoraptor were impaled).

The poor Giga man, it didn’t even do anything wrong throughout the whole movie, but it apparently still has to die.

Honestly, I agree here. It was so cool and wholesome to not only see Buck and Doe alive, but also the fact that they're with Rexy as family now. Though their screentime was relatively low compared to some of the other star dinosaurs, it was satisfying nevertheless. This would also have been the first time we saw Buck and Doe fight another dinosaur on-screen. It's implied they did so to survive on Sorna, plus Buck's scars from a possible mating ritual fight- but would still have been so cool nevertheless!

I would have loved to see Ian’s face once those two show up. You know he would have flashbacks while looking around for Junior, even if he wasn't with his parents anymore. Ian has had the most interactions with Rexy, Buck, Doe, and Junior. It would have been interesting to see his reaction to seeing all three at once battling the Giga.

TBH, I think having a "final battle" is part of the problem: it feels perfunctory, like "well, we ended on a big fight in JP, JW, & FK, so we have to do it here." But it's one of several issues that I had with Dominion, and it would necessitate large re-writes anyway, so it's all by the by. Your idea to introduce Buck & Doe earlier to help Rexy is much more thematically appropriate, too, given the themes of families coming together: obviously Owen & Claire getting Maisie back and Alan & Ellie getting back together, but also the original Jurassic Trio reuniting together after almost 30 years. It would just be fitting for the rexes (which are strongly believed to be fairly social creatures) to unite against a common foe. If we had to have a final battle, it should've been all-out: all the Biosyn dinosaurs being crammed together in the middle of an apocalyptic fire causes a brawl to break out. I'm talking a royal rumble - Nasutos charging Trikes, Stegos thagomizing Ankylosaurs, Theris and Iguanodons slashing at one another, Paras and Gallis running about rampant, all while the carnivores tear each other to bits. But only one dinosaur isn't getting involved in the fight, because it's the only one that isn't afraid of anything - that "fears nothing" if you will. So while the chaos is going on, the only way out for the humans is to shelter behind the Dreadnoughtus. Even the Giga wouldn't attack the Dread alone, especially if it rears up and shakes the ground. Because why would you mention a dinosaur's name means "fears nothing" if you aren't going to show why that's meaningful? (TBH, I *would* include the Spino in there, but it would need mentioned that the Spino was in its own secure facility which naturally broke down in the chaos. Then we'd get Spino vs Giga vs Rexy, then Buck & Doe come in to back up Rexy as the only major predators who would have a reason to team up with one another)

The Buck and Doe helping Rexy would have been epic! It would make sense that they would team up and they wouldn’t even need to kill the Giga just rough him up and make him retreat.

As much awesome as dominion and its final battle was and as much as Camp Cretaceous’ final battle was, It wouldn’t have hurt to have the Spinosaurus Return to live action for one more main movie. The dilophasarus returned for Camp Cretaceous seasons 4-5 and returned for dominion so the same could’ve happened with the Spinosaurus. They could’ve made it as the Spinosaurus was removed from Manatah Corp. Island alongside Toro and Bumpy especially since Toro almost made it into dominion.

Honestly, I would’ve just much preferred if Rexy actually put up a fight rather than be downed then come back at the end. Cuz it just loses her character as a truly formidable creature as we’ve seen in the original 2. Same with the raptors, in the JP movies they felt so scary and truly a force to reckoned with; JW raptors made them feel like dogs. Just my opinion.

The ending would sort of make sense as well since instead of some random creature that is helps an apex predator take down another apex predator, the 3 apex predators work together to take down another apex predator as they are the same species and probably met each other back in Isla Sorna before Rexy was shipped to Isla Nublar.

While I enjoyed what we got , I have to admit having the Rexes from the lost world and the spino appear anywhere in the film would’ve been epic . And I personally still have hope we could see another epic dinosaur battle Royal with these beloved creatures in the future and if not , I’ve personally been thinking about writing something similar to this topic in s fanfiction series I’ve been working on

I just can’t wrap my head around how on earth did Colin utterly screwed up not just the ending but the entire movie so unbelievably badly. Thank god he’s no longer working on future movies because I don’t want him to screw the Jurassic franchise up any further.

I feel there still _could've_ been a way for the Therizinosaurus to have its own separate fight scene against another dinosaur in "Dominion (but still have it make sense for the overall story)." For instance, it could've been goaded by Dodgson's henchmen to fight (and kill) say, an Allosaurus (as an example) in a staged, globally-televised fight that *BioSyn* would hold. THEN would come _your_ proposed four-way final battle towards the end with Rexy, the Buck & Doe, and the Giga. But this is just me talking.

I think it would have been better with Rexy defeating Zeb on her own- mean it was HER fight. It also feel she have died from wounds as her death would symbolize a new era of Jurassic.

I fully agree with you. The idea of ​​Buck and Doe coming to rescue is simply the best and most natural. Individuals defend a member of their species against an opponent. As for the spinosaurus idea, it just annoys me that fans want it to save Rexy, but nobody wants it to be Buck and Doe I like Spinosaurus but he is an antagonist who has behavioral problems and killed Trex (for me he is the archenemy of Tyrannosaurus). From the final fight I would throw Giganotosaurus which compared to the spinosaurus from JP3 was simply bland and I would replace it with a spinosaurus

The fight was completely superfluous. It had no narrative purpose outside of "oh there needs to be a big stupid superhero dinosaur fight at the end." At least the fight in Jurassic World has thematic relevance.

Man a three Rex battle would have been epic

I think it's pretty unrealistic to categorize the spino as a "T-Rex killer". First of all, the rex in JP3 was a juvenile. Of course it didn't have the size or combat experience to be able to hold his own against a fully grown apex predator like the spinosaurus. Had it been one of the fully grown buck or doe rexes, the spino might not have fared as well against them. Second, as displayed in every fight they're in, the T-rex's ultimate weapon is its bite to the neck of its opponent. Seems cheap and redundant, but it is significantly more of a formidable weapon than one might think, considering the Tyrannosaurus had the strongest bite force in all of the fossil record. It wouldn't have taken very many well-placed bites on the spinos neck to cause some serious damage, especially from underneath where all that soft tissue vital arteries could be all but ripped out by a strong enough force.

I really think the spinosaurus should’ve been the one that only died besides Zeb, the giganotosaurus and Rexie not getting killed off book, badly injured also, I don’t think the giganotosaurus would win against the spinosaurus sense. Well, it’s not very smart just like it’s real life counterpart, which was also not very smart, I think the only chance that the spinosaurus will win is in water and not land even though it’s more terrestrial it does have some problems such as that gigantic sale, which if it gets knocked over it is done for so really, if I was the developer I would’ve instead had Rexy run off due to the flames and also being led to the main area, but instead of fighting, she instead tries to find a way out, go in the opposite direction where she runs into Zeb the giganotosaurus. Instead, we have the spinosaurus coming in in a menacing way with a dead Gallimimus in its jaws and then it’s about to attack the humans before getting attacked and knocked over by the giganotosaurus, then gets back up and tries to attack it but just gets knocked down like a ragdoll. He proceeds to get back up and he actually get some hits on Zeb, the giganotosaurus, but they aren’t that effective since he has literally body armor on his body he’s also like way stronger. He’s also more intelligent better at combat while the spinosaurus just acted like an idiot. It literally had a hard time fighting to tyrannosaurs on screen on the big screen in on a TV show then the giganotosaurus knocks it over on some rubble where it breaks its sale, and it roars in immense pain then Zeb steps on his neck, and then crushes it roaring in victory, and instead of attacking humans, instead just looks at them and starts moving to what he was doing trying to escape from the flames

I believe Buck and Doe were not at the Biosyn valley while the chaos unfolded, because Ramsay stated that giga is the only apex for now, hinting at Rexy's arrival at the sanctuary, so they weren't there before her arrival, and weren't there then she arrived. Maybe they were on their way to the sanctuary, but I doubt it.

In my opinion I feel like Rexy should have fought the Spinosarus as the final battle of Dominion. If you think about it the Giganotosarus was barely a villain and was not as important as any of the other villains in this franchise. It would make more sense since we already know who the Spinosarus was due to Jurassic Park 3. This could also end the discussion of who would win in a fight, The Tyrannosaurus Rex or The Spinosarus. I know we already got that in Camp Cretaceous Season 5 but the General Public wouldn’t know of that since you would have to be a Super fan of the Jurassic Franchise. Also if this were to happen, I would not like to see another Team Up! It’s very overdone already. This franchise just keeps trying to RUIN the T-Rex! Look I know Rexy is very old for a T-Rex but come on! This film should have also made Rexy die of old age while The Buck and Doe come to respect their fellow Rex.

So if Spino did return in Dominion could it have been like Transformers dark of the moon ending with Rexy as Optimus Giga as Sentinel and then Spino coming in and then after that it'd be Rexy and Spino but with rexy winning over Spino but Rexy dying in the end due to her wounds?

I would have liked to see Giga and JP/// raptors against Rexy and Blue. The main characters would probably have to help for Rexy and Blue to win again. It would have been cool to have Rexy and Blue team up again against an apex predator. It would have also been cool if Blue killed the alpha JP /// raptor and finally got her own pack.

Tbh making a new dinosaur (the Giga) supposed to be the villain-type dinosaur just annoyed me. I love both the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor however making once again a NEW villain dinosaur was silly. I know most of you would say “well it’s just an animal”. No hun, the directors said it’s supposed to be the bad guy. But making another Dino instead of using the Spinosaurus to be the “villain” was a missed opportunity. We already know the Spino holds a grudge and is a harsh killer. The final battle would have been better and the movie would answer some questions successfully. It would make the fans happy too ofc. Having the Buck and Doe in the final battle would've been awesome having a full on Trex finale I mean dont get me wrong I love the therizinosaurus but would be cool if it did show up and ended up either being forced to back off from the fight just as an idea cause I dont want tk kill it off but having both Buck and Doe helping Rexy would represent the past of Jurassic Park and The Lost World and since the rexes would have finally have meet since 1993 it would have been even more epic idk if anyone understands that but overall I like the fight in Dominion just wish the Buck and Doe were in the movie more than just the final seconds of the movie.

I personally feel like the final battle should've takes place in a major city. I feel like that dino havoc on a major city will truly give this saga a very grand finale. Like imagine all the apex dinosaurs that was introduced in the whole saga that survived the movie that they got introduced will finally battle to the death on a city? That will be a very chaotic but very satisfying final battle.

Definitely agree with your end battle. I would have loved to see our favorite Rexes team up against the foe the Giga provides. Plus, it finally shows our lone girl being part of a group or her own species. And I do agree with not bringing in the spino to that battle. The spino is a character that is an antagonist. And I can be certain I would've been pissed if they teamed up against the Giga, only to have the Spino turn on and kill the symbol of JP/JW franchise. I would have much preferred seeing it in news recordings like they showed for the Allo at Big Rock. At least then it can hint at it coming back in the future with much more certainty, and therefore have more screen time and possibly return to play its role as antagonist.

I feel like if Rexy was fighting the Giga and the much younger Giga nearly kills Rexy but right before then the Spino shows up to fight the Giga then as you see the Giga and Spino viciously fight (like how they did with Rexy Vs Indominus Rex) Rexy gets that flashback of her past life like she did in the movie giving her an adrenaline rush to get up and help the spino kill the giga . As they are standing over the gigas lifeless body Rexy sees that the spino isn’t finished fighting. Then the spino attacks Rexy in a long braw with Rexy ending the fight by breaking the Spinos neck ( silencing the Who would win between Rex and Spino because they would of both won a fight) Then at the end Rexy limps off the battle ground as you follow her into the woods to fall over and succumb to her wounds killing of Rexy while Buck and Doe walks up to her to comfort her in her last moments (because she is old and will not live much longer anyways so might as well just end her life in a peaceful way) It would of made me tear up and would of been a great end to the 3 apexes of Jurassic world to finally finish off the series. (That or The Spino and Rexy would of made peace because of Rexy helping the Spino Because they ant dumb and would understand that they were saved by each other.)

Tbh this was one battle rexy SHOULD have won. Explanation? Jwd came out in 2022, a year which recognised t rex to be physically the most powerful theropod in prehistory along with being likely the largest(heaviest). So no they had no excuse in making a villain be bigger or badder than it unlike the spino, since it was quite a while back (2001 with innacurate info hence can be excused) or the indom which was a hybrid. In all reality if film makers had followed or at least vaguely followed the current hierchy rexy wouldve won Also tbh the spimo vs rexy vs giga fight would likely result in all three dying. The spino aint the giga, its not as powerful nor as durable, it lost to big eatie. Rexy would be able to get the better of the spino imo

This is a great idea! I honestly don't understand how Trevorrow bungled the ending so bad. It was shockingly poorly executed. I think that was the biggest problem; Execution. Nearly every suggested alternate ending by the fans is better than what we got. I think I like your alternate ending is my favorite.

Personally, I prefer having Rexy single handedly defeated the Giga by using her jaws to break his neck after a fair fight.

Honestly i feel like this would actually be a good idea, and if they were to build on this idea throughout the story, maybe showing a previous standoff between the buck/doe duo and the giga where the giga, emphasizing that the giga, while larger and stronger, couldnt overcome the teamwork of the duo... (make it clear that they were nowhere near a victory in a 2 v 1), and that would give them even more reason to join rexy in the fight... (aside from the fact that rexy is their long lost sibling). I think that a reunion in battle with a few flashback cutscenes from rexy's infancy or something to that regard might go a long way towards cementing in stone their bond... Honestly even though dominion left us feeling hopeful for rexy's future, the reality of the situation is rexy was in their territory now, and was wounded after the battle with the giga... If the Buck and Doe decided to fight for territory with rexy as opposed to accepting her into a rex pack, chances are it would be the end for rexy. There is good reason to believe that might actually be a likely outcome too... Rexy has shown herself to be territorial, fearlessly attacking threats... With the adrenaline still rushing from her fight with the giga, i dont think rexy would be very submissive... She would challenge them, or attack them, and they would respond in kind... Unless they are determined to portray the softer side of the jurassic rexes, i doubt that scene would have ended peacefully with a 3 rex pack... Now, with your idea, if they had joined rexy in the battle, that might be enough to stall rexys aggression towards them, but not indefinately... Rexes are apex predators, and while a breeding pair is very much a possibility... I highly doubt we would ever see a true rex pack (unless danger or great abundance of prey were present)... But again, this is jurassic, so expected behavior might not match up to what we get.

YES. I like your ending so much better! It would’ve been even cooler, in my opinion, if the buck and doe showed up and the the giga just retreated after some epic back-and-forth intimidation displays between it and the 3 rexes. Kinda like in the final confrontation scene of Disney’s “Dinosaur” movie, and a bit more in keeping with Dominion’s “more scientifically accurate” themes. I wouldn’t even mind the giga surviving instead of being killed; probably would’ve preferred it, actually. Killing it off would have only really been deserved if the poor thing had behaved like the “Joker of dinosaurs” it was first billed as.

Spino always won against a greener T-Rex and a tired one, not one at its top. Edit JPT John Hammond said they created 7 T-Rexes in the site B so very much Doe & Buck are siblings with Rexy. Asides from the Alpha Rex, we know that from these 7 Sovereigns we know 4 of them

It’s really interesting for me as a 28 year old to see how the love for the T. Rex has shifted over and over. Did instance in the 90’s it was all about the rex then in 01 the spino stole the show. Although not a lot of fan liked it compared to the T. Rex & JW went outta its way to celebrate the first film including the return of Rexy and her dominance. Fast forward to now I see a lot of people younger then me really fancy the spino a lot and that third film. I’m a Rex fanboy for sure and it kinda makes me sad that there’s not the same love and feeling for the Rex as much as before. I will admit I probably won’t be that interested in a JP film where the T. Rex isn’t the main Dino. Or doesn’t defeat it. And if there is no Rex I probably won’t see the film. At least not right away. But I realize now I’m more of a JP Rex fan then a actual JP fan. And that’s ok. I’m at peace with it. And also with a future film not having a Rex be 👑 I guess life is always about change. And I’ll be happy if it’s the spino making a comeback (much like the Star Wars prequels) at least happy for its fans. I love JP tho ultimately and always will plus I will always have the first two to watch where it is the dominant force I want it to be 🙌🏻

Some people have said that the Spino was on the island! & could be, briefly, seen during the moment that showed all the dinos coming into the main facility! Walking in the river! After seeing the scene again, it was a bipedal dino with what seems like a sail on it's back!! Weither it's officially announced, or not, it could have been the Spino! Not sure if it is, but it does look like it!!

The Spinosaurus of JP III is essentially a fictional animal. It was based on teh latest research at the time, but we were wrong about almost everything about it back then. That alone is a good reason to leave it out. On a side note, I would make an adult T rex a heavy favorite over either a Spinosaurus, or a Giganotosaurus.

They should at least put the Spinosaurus in a future film after Dominion for one last showdown between him and Rexy!

Honestly Rexy need a break from dino fights

In my completely different Jurassic World Dominion. Spinosaurus is the villain throughout the film. He remembers Alan Grant and refuses to let it go. He even kills one of if not more of the main cast members, being Ian Malcom and someone else. Event 1: Later on when they escape he comes back to finish them off until Rexy shows up and fights him. Until Giganotosaurus, who in this version is more of a good guy, who got bullied by Spinosaurus comes to stand up for himself. But also starts to get beaten until both he and Rexy recognise Spinosaurus as the true threat to both of them, and team up to beat him. (This way Spinosaurus is still more in character with his villainous role, and we roll with Giga being a guy who just wants to live in peace. And Rexy gets the final blow) Event 2: Later on when they escape he comes back to finish them off until Rexy shows up and fights him. Him being bigger stronger and younger and more experienced than her almost kills her and badly, until the Buck and Doe who were hinted at within the film, come to aid Rexy and gang up on him, killing him all together with Rexy personally getting the final blow. With Rexy due to her old age and wounds died. But not before getting her victory (This way Spinosaurus sticks with his villainous role as well as going down like a badass with needing 3 Trex's to kill him, The Rex species gets they're revenge for all the years he spent hunting they're species down, in the form of a gang up by non other than the 3 OG Trex's, Rexy gets the final blow allowing her to claim to finally getting her first kill, as well as a bittersweet ending for her)

It would have been better for the spino to abruptly challenge the giga and finish him quickly, then the final showdown being against Rexy. When you think about it, the Giga was portrayed as the big bad Dino of the movie but ye really didn’t do anything wrong besides what an apex predator would do. It really didn’t make sense to even have a ‘final showdown’ against it. Spino however has so much controversy around it and the battle against the trex in JP3. He’s shown an extremely heightened sense of aggression so it makes sense the it be the big bad instead, also allowing for the final showdown with the OG trex that we all waited for. The death would be more deserving. And it’s a great plot-twist with the build up of the Giga throughout the movie, even besting Rexy in the turf war, to suddenly get shredded by the OG- Dino villain Rexy’s win would just feel so much more satisfying

Can you explain the locusts thing please?

I would personally like the Spinosaurus to appear in Dominon but not in the final battle. The perfect showdown would be the Giganotosaurus vs Rexy and Buck or Doe or maybe both. That's from my point of view.

I’ve seen a ton of videos of paleontologist talking about how a t-res would be a Spino realistically nine out of 10 times the only reason the spinal one in JP 3 it was genetically modified. It said it increases brain waves, while the T-Rex wasn’t fully grown, and it was a normal T-Rex, not a modified.

I feel satisfied with how it ended, I think that I wouldn’t change anything about this movie since it’s now my favourite

spino fought a bull rex in jurassic park 3 meaning it was a juvenile and if you look up the actual scientific anatomy of these creatures, a predominantly fish hunting creature like spinosaurus would have had zero chance against a pure carnivore and apex hunter/scavenger. Furthermore the initial bite in jurassic park 3 where the bull rex got the neck of the spino right away would have been enough bite force to end the fight right there. Yes this is coming from a trex fan but do your research! There’s a reason it’s the kng. P.S. Trex and giga were way closer in size the movie poooooorly portrays this and exaggerates the hell out of it for dramatic affect otherwise there main villain would look like a bi***
